My partner and I had the most amazing meal last week.Friendly and very attentive service. Thank you Thomas and family. Food was perfectly cooked and my dietary needs were met without any problems. Can’t wait to go back.

My favourite place to eat in Haverhill. Love everything: from the ambiance to the warm hospitality and friendly staff to the immaculate service and delicious food.

My teen wanted to go somewhere special for her birthday, so I asked her to choose a place, and she found this restaurant. It was our first time visiting, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. The best part? My usually picky teen enjoyed it so much that she wants to return! That says a lot about the quality of this place. Highly recommend!

Amazing dinner with dad in law again, me and hubby loved our burgers. Unfortunately dad's lamb shank was as tough as ole boots this time around ( we had it 3 weeks ago and it was perfect) that said... Love the place, and we'll go again. Lovely staff although a bit thin on the ground.

Lovely Cepelinai, really tasty and still very hot after a car journey to take them home. Owners are very friendly too. Very much recommended.

A group of 14 for lunch. Only one waitress basically non English speaking. Absolute chaos! Half an hour to get drinks, one hour for those who wanted a starter. 2 hours to get mains. For just the price of an extra waitress we became VERY unhappy. The group will not go there again SO SAD!!! …. For the want of a nail!!!! Baltic Amber look this quote up!! This is how restaurants go down the tubes.

Had to wait for 2 hours and then the starters arrived with the main course. We came to enjoy St John’s day but it ruined our evening, if the food had turned up in a normal timescale it would’ve been fine. We had a mixture of Lithuanian and English dishes but the people who had the Lithuanian dumplings had severe diarrhoea which wasn’t great. When we complained we were dismissed and didn’t want to listen, and finally offered some drinks to compensate but it wasn’t enough in our opinion.

What a well presented establishment!!! The garden area is lovely thus why we booked a table. We choose the restaurant purely because the website said dog friendly how ever I was told my miniture dachshund puppy was not aloud to sit on my lap for sanitary cleaning reasons. I have never experienced this and after waiting 90mins for our meal we couldn't wait to leave. Won't be going back.

Great dinner & alcohol, morning fried breakfast & coffee is amazing, beautiful outside & inside sitting area. Hidden gem with good atmosphere & music. Great for events & parties

Visited a couple of weeks ago for an evening meal with friend ,we had an excellent meal very well presented a delicious pudding I recommend the Eton mess we are going again for our wedding anniversary in a few days, excellent service very friendly staff . Well done to all the staff .

A very nice place to relax and have a drink, there us a lounge area with sofas and a large projector screen. A restaurant and outside area although we didn't visit this. We were going to eat here as tge menu looked really nice, however on a limited budget it did look a bit expensive.

Staying at the nearby travelodge, we went in to book as couldn’t see an option to book online. The waiter was very friendly and warned us there would be a disco commencing at 8pm before we confirmed the booking. He also took the trouble of booking us in the dining area away from the disco so we we weren’t disturbed. Actually it was ok, and not too loud. For food we both had Brigands Pancakes. It was very tasty and filling. We also enjoyed a bottle of Shiraz and for pudding, a very nice chocolate brownie. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The manager also checked in on us as she was passing. All in all a good experience.

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Saturday evening meal with new found family, 4 adults with a booking were sat in front of a loud 53in TV with football on and surrounded by 2 large parties watching and getting involved with the football, it was near on impossible to have a conversation with the surrounding noise. Unknown to us there was a quieter area towards the back of the restaurant, which begs the question why were we sat where we were? Yes I should of complained but unfortunately I'm not the sort to confront and complain. Food was ok but the half chicken was tough and chewy. So we left never to return.

We were a group of four middle-aged people who were sat underneath a large TV with the volume up in-between two large loud groups. None of us knew the place well so we were unaware there was anywhere else to sit so made do. The food took ages to arrive and when it did it wasn't anything special. Later, I found there was a much better dining area that people were being sat in that would have been better. It was just opposite the bar and partitioned. Perhaps we could have said something earlier, but we didn't know of this other area, but surely the staff did. Especially when I asked for the TV to be turned down... maybe that should have alerted them. They showed either a complete indifference to whether we were in a loud area or were ignorant of a diner's need to just want to eat in comfort. Either way, it wasn't good. We just paid and left. Never again.

Such a lovely restaurant, beautiful comfy atmosphere with very friendly polite staff. The food was cooked perfectly and good size portions. Very child friendly . Even the toilets were spotless. Highly recommended... the best place to eat in or around Haverhill.

Fantastic meal here on Mother’s day. The food was delicious as always and the service was brilliant. The waiter remained calm and professional despite the table next to us being extremely rude and complaining about absolutely everything.

Visited Baltic Amber last night - my friend and I pre-ordered all the Lithuanian dishes. Grated potato cepelinai and mashed potato pancakes were unreal! We also had garlic rye bread with cheese sauce to start as a sharer which was lovely. Mind you, Lithuanian garlic rye bread is super garlicky, so it might not be suitable for all, but my friend and I absolutely loved it. It was a great food, great atmosphere and great company evening. Staff were also supper attentive and lovely. 10/10 evening!

9 of us went here for a family meal…took 2 hours for the food to be served after order was taken!!!! 8 out of 9 meals were served warm and not hot!!! Such a shame as the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere Will not be returning after this experience

Food was not great. We had lasagne and chicken and both were very dry and not very nice. Service was good though, won't eat here again.

We went at 5:30/6pm, 2 adults and 2 children aged 7 and 10. We didnt have a starter. I had the Burrito and it was delicious, I could eat that again and again, it was a massive portion and really tasty. Steve had a Beef dish from the Lithuanian section and it was sooooo amazing, the beef fell apart it was cooked so well. I would go back just for this. One of the kids had the half rack of ribs which was cooked really well but needed to be a bit more crispy, the BBQ sauce was not quiet to his taste but still good. The childrens portion of chicken goujons were a great size, nice and crispy. The chips were the best I have had in a long time, skin on, crispy and fluffy in the middle. The team were understaffed when we got there and this was explained to us so we didn't mind waiting a little longer. When I first saw the menu I thought it was highl priced (next time a travel lodge though so they tend to be more expensive) but we'll worth it. I don't mind paying for great food. All the staff were lovely and freindly, we will definitely be going back. We were all too stuffed for a desert, if we had more time we would have. ❤️

The first time I visited and loved the experience, the food was really well cooked and very tasty, I had the Brigands pancake, and I absolutely loved it. This is my opinion, but I really loved the food and recommend it to everyone

This was an unexpected great find when staying at the Travelodge in Haverhill. We came for dinner and if my expectation was a 5, it was an exceeded 10/10! Great food, so good, we ate breakfast twice after and would have come back for dinner if we hadn’t been at a wedding. Gem of a find!

We had the 32oz tbone that was cooked beautifully and the chicken rice was full of flavour would 100% recommend

This place seems to be slipping, though some clients have luckier experience than others. Three of us arrived pre-booked for significant birthday meal. Food was still good but not as special as before - and it did not arrive for nearly an hour. No apology or explanation. Other tables got food first, though arriving later, and restaurant was not busy. Service was not rude, but minimal and robotic - no attempt to engage with us diners. Very disappointing considering past recommendations. Management when approached later were, however, attentive and apologised for staff failings, so hopefully standards will return to normal. It's a lovely restaurant with pleasant space for dining outside.

My first visit to this restaurant,first impression was very nice decor and pretty cool outside area.me and my partner ordered from the uncomplicated menu which to me is great because some places just put to much on there menu. In all honesty the meal was really nice and I found myself thinking I could come here quite regularly. The waiter had only one days experience but to me he did very well and was very attentive. After our meal we took drinks outside which was well furnished and very comfortable. I actually pretty much fell in love with the place.Haverhill is pretty limited on nice places to eat and this place would be a gold mine if it was nearer to town. I walked to this location and it was well worth it. One criticism the management are pretty useless get your finger out and do some work and support your staff.

brought a friend who is a first timer as i higly recommended...unfortunately, one of the starters not brought before the main dish secondly, we were asked by the new server if we were done with our meal when we were actually eating. this has to improve. food tastes great but service takes ages to be served. salad bar would be great.

Personally I didn't think alot of it. Booked to take my parents for Sunday roast, when we arrived there were no roasts. Limited menu. Limited dessert menu. 1 girl working behind the bar as well as working for the restaurant (waiting on tables,). Carpet in the eating area was covered with big black stains. Disappointing beings it was recommended to us. Don't think I'd go back. Our bill was just over £120!

I don’t normally write reviews but i am making exemption for this place as it was amazing the place itself is really big and beautiful outside seating is perfect for hot weather we ordered few things of the menu witch was unbelievable, sadly didn’t made any pictures, we had an honour to meet Chef Evaldas who prepared out food he gone a mile to take some time to talk to us. I can’t express more how food and place makes you wanna comeback again and again. Looking forward of going back there. 5⭐️ restaurant!

I have used the Baltic Amber many times for lunch and evening meals whilst staying at the hotel next door. The quality and freshness of the meals are absolutely superb and great value. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this venue to everyone and if your not in Haverhill, its worth the journey.

Not the fastest service, but it was a family get together do more important to have communication time so it didn't matter

Went here for a family meal, celebrating a significant birthday. They were ready for us, the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. It started quite well, drinks order was taken, menu cards given out, items not available told about. From then on downhill. Drinks didn't appear until they were reminded that it was 30 mins since ordering. The food order was taken. The starters arrived fairly quickly, but the calamari was tough. Mains didn't arrive for approx 45 mins. The ribs were tender and delicious, except for the dollop of BBQ sauce on top. Didn't look particularly appealing. Steak, although cooked as requested, was tough and chewy. What a waste of good steak. This was blamed on the new supplier. When mentioned to the manager, who reduced the bill. A pasta was ordered, spaghetti with roasted vegetables and pesto. It was very bland. The only taste was from the overpowering basil pesto, it was also very greasy. Maybe if parmesan cheese had been offered, it might have tasted a little better. But that wasn't an option. I must say the pre ordered Lithuanian dumplings were very nice and tasty. We had been highly recommended to try this place. Especially the steak!! After thinking for some months about trying it out, we decided to go ahead. Very disappointed, we may try again, just to see if it was a bad day for them, but I doubt it. The staff were very friendly and polite, just a tad slow.

We celebrate this Sunday my son's First Holy Communion at Baltic Amber. Best restaurant in town. Very nice and professional service throughout, nice VIP space for the occasion. We have requested out of Menù an Italian platter to start with and was really good. Great main dishes. Mixed Fruit platter at the end and an amazing fresh cake with peaches. Highly recommended ❤️👍🥂

Absolutely amazing. Went here for my boyfriends birthday and they gave us a private room with candles and rose petals on the table, as well as the prosecco (which i did ask for in advance to be safe). The service was amazing, the food was brilliant and the ambiance was just perfect. they truly went above and beyond.

I was staying in the travelodge across the way for work and on my last evening popped in for some dinner. I had the burrito with homemade salsa and chips. It was beautiful and full of flavour. The chips were homemade and Fluffy on the inside crispy on the outside. I had Eton mess sundae for dessert and it was divine. The staff are lovely and attentive and the interior is gorgeous. Highly recommend weather local or visiting.

I stayed in the travelodge just over the way on buisness and thought I would pop in on my last evening for some food. I had the burrito with chips and homemade salsa and it was exceptional, so much flavour the chips were homemade fluffy on the inside crispy on the outside. I had Eton mess sundae for dessert and it was divine. I would highly recommend this restaurant weather local or staying in the travelodge across the way.

We went here for an 18th birthday celebration in January 2023 We found the service was very slow and there’s no atmosphere there at all apart from the disco ( it sounded like one ) that was going on in the kitchen !! Food was okay but I felt it was overpriced for what it was .i had the battered pork loin and it was very tough and the batter was more like a pancake texture .I only ate the chips and salad really .Prawn cocktail starter was a dish if prawns with the smallest amount of lettuce . The bill was £300 for the 8 of us .Some had two courses and one bottle of wine plus a round of drinks .There was only two other tables of two the time we were there so not as though they were rushed off their feet .I find it cold 8n there as well . Personally , I wouldn’t rush back in a hurry

Regretfully will not be able to try whats looks like a really nice restaurant as they don’t allow dogs in … shame .. dog said she’d pay !!

Very Quiet when we got there, had to wait over an hour for food. Food below average and could hear staff swearing behind the bar. Very poor service. Even had to go and get our own drinks.Overall very poor and would not suggest going there at all.

Both my daughter and husband had a food poising after visiting this place. They mentioned the brownie tasted somehow unusual.. well, now we know why… Never step a foot into this place again. Shame on you for serving the food after the expiry date!

My friends and I enjoyed a lovely meal on New Years Eve night and we agreed that we will be visiting this restaurant in Haverhill on a regular basis. The food was first class, the portions right, the service was good and the prices were appropriate. Excellent experience.

Lovely tasty meals, generous portion sizes and when we couldn't finish, they boxed it up for us. Very helpful staff and lovely restaurant. Very quiet, not at all busy which definitely doesn't reflect the quality. Give this restaurant a go, doubt you will be disappointed.

A family run Lithuanian restaurant hidden away behind the Travelodge. A good bar with a nice variety of beers wines and spirits. Be prepared, portions are B I G. Normally I would associate big portions with low quality, but this is not the case at the Baltic, the food is of excellent quality, just go there hungry. Staff are very friendly. If you can, go there when it is very busy and experience the Chef helping the waiters serve the food. He is far a better chef than waiter, but extremely funny with it.

We went to a friends wedding reception here and had a fantastic time! The staff are super professional and a credit to the owner. There’s a Lithuanian influence here because the owner is Lithuanian and most of the staff. Loved hearing about Lithuania and learning how to say a few things. Makes me want to go there for a trip! Labai ačiū!!

Exceptional care and attention to service, way beyond that which you expect to receive in far more expensive venues. They serve great food have a great choice of beers and other drinks and the staff are lovely people.
