Turquoise Turkish Restaurant in Braintree

We were hoping to place an order but the website kept stating that we're out of the delivery zone (despite just being just down the road). So either the delivery radius is tiny as we live 1.1 miles away or something is wrong with the website. We then tried to call and place an order to be told cash only. Unfortunately, that then meant we bought our food from Golden Charcoal instead.

It was the worst meal I've ever eaten. It was very cold and expensive. I will never go again.

Used to love this place but tonight’s service was shocking. Told order would arrive at 6.45pm, arrives at 7.35pm, everything cold and part of the order missing. Asked to bring the rest of the food and told “we live in a difficult area” and we could have a discount on our next order. Said they would bring it in 15minutes. 40mins passed and the rest of the order is still missing. I call up to get a partial refund on the food that is missing and told no. Terrible service and disappointed. Will never use them again.

Mix shish was black and overdone, rung them they said they would send a replacement. Didn't come. Rung them again said they would it. Still didn't come. Terrible.

Quite possibly the WORST moussaka I have ever tried to eat!! It was as dry as sand, the sauce appeared to be missing and the aubergine tasted bitter! Mostly inedible! What has happened to this place? it used to be great but clearly not any more, the fact there was no one else waiting for a take away on a Friday night tells you all you need to know... definitely won't go back.

Had a delightful takeaway from Turquoise last night. We had lamb and chicken shish kebabs. The meat was well cooked and beautifully marinated. The flat bread was lovely and made a nice change to pitta, the chips were tasty and the salad was fresh and you can choose exactly what you want. Good portion sizes and reasonably priced. 5 stars will definitely order again

Terrible. An hour late, no reason and no apology.

Food arrived about 5 minutes after the later expected delivery time so the delivery time wasn't too bad. Unfortunately the food is Luke warm at best so not as enjoyable as normal.

Sent a chicken shish instead of a lamb shish, food wasn't hot and not very enjoyable. First time I've ordered from here but won't be ordering again.

Took 2 hours for my order to come

Delivery was quick (surprisingly fast and happy about it). Food quality however could've been better. The butter was hard. Salad dressing sauce (pomegranate) couldn't be tasted well and was watery rather than thick. Oil content of food was very high.

Absolutely Poor service waited over 1 hour and 30 minutes for food. Then told 15 min wait for delivery and taken a hour. When arrived food was cold and Missing 2 drinks. NOT HAPPY !

Food arrived 45mins late and it was cold. Portion sizes are small.

Food was ordered at 7pm with an ETA of 8pm-8:20pm. Nothing arrived until 8:50pm and when it did the food was all cold. Restaurant was unhelpful in resolving the issue.

The best takeaway we have ever ordered. Received an amazing amount of food for our money as well.

Great food for everyone but me, all the meals but my yogurt chicken was brilliant but the yogurt chicken was about half the size of my usual order. there was hardly anything to it and I was so disappointed as I usual love this place but after eating it I was left hungry and disappointed in its flavour due to the lack of bread and butter sauce/ Yoghurt amount. probably won't be ordering from here for a while

Food was cold, meat was tough, stuff to greasy. Not enjoyed at all. Won't be making a second purchase.

Wish they let you alter when you ordering as you might not like something or for any allergies

I just wanted to say what an amazing experience I had with this restaurant. Bilo was so kind and caring. He didn’t have a driver to bring my order over so he got a member of his family. A real Christmas spirit. This is what Christmas is about … acts of kindness. A big thank you to Bilo.

Ordered a takeaway, took over an hour to be delivered and when it was the bag was wet, bread soaking wet, chips cold, large chicken kebab consisted of 6 pieces of extremely overcooked cold chicken and the doner was cold and oily, Will not be ordering from here again.

Lovely food but small portions

Ordered a takeaway on Friday night. Received a call 1hr 15mins after ordering advising the driver would be another 20 mins as he was ‘stuck’. 45 mins later the takeaway arrived. It was cold and we were missing dish. Phone up and we were advised it would be delivered in 20 mins - nothing. Spoke to the manager who would not let us speak, was very rude and refused a refund on anything (including the dish that didn’t arrive). Ended the call by throwing the phone to the young lady that takes the orders!!!! Absolutely awful awful stay well away.

A little while to wait, but the food was absolutey delicious- will order again

Ordered a takeaway delivery, they called me to say the driver was as lost, next minute I have a refund saying order cancelled, called back and the guy tells me that the lady’s not found me or called me and now my food has been returned to the restaurant, I complained and he just hang up on me, will NEVER ORDER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Haven’t left a review on JE for so time but the food from here was too good not to. Meat was so tasty and generous portions, chips were fresh also, so too the salad.

Best Turkish in Witham, fresh and large portions. Always on time, we really love Turquoise Chicken Grill. It feels like we eat restaurant meals at home.

Called after an hour too say that they had delivered too the wrong address on a completely separate street! Food was then reordered and arrived cold and soggy. No offer of a refund or freebie of any kind, and not even an apology. Definitely won’t be using them again.

Last year I gave this place a very poor review but I'd been told it had improved recently so I gave them another go. What a difference! The Iskender was great and the rice pudding was the best I have ever tasted. Well done guys!!

Great food delivered very hot and well packaged, slight delay in delivery but it's Friday night. Overall very good experience, would definitely order again. Food just as good as eating in the restaurant!

Verbally shouted at by the owner and not once did I raise my voice. He hung up on me, absolute disgrace, no refund offered and no apology. First time ordered from their website directly instead of Justeat, there was Option to have 10% discount which reduced the bill by £1.49 only BUT - LARGE Adana kebab was half the normal size, rice were literally 2 spoon, and there was no bulgar. Why??

Great. Meat a little dry. But not so you’d notice much. Salad was ace. Perfect really. Forget I mention the dry meat. I don’t even care. Thank you. X

Fast delivery, but that’s probably because they only packaged half my dinner! The smallest portion I’ve ever had - probably should have ordered the kids size! Not particularly nice either. Chicken was small and tasteless, the rice was tasteless too. Bread was ok and salad looked like it had been sat there for some time. Sooo disappointing for the money. Definitely won’t be ordering from here again.

One of the cold starters appeared separated/cracked and tasted 'fizzy' additionally, the salad provided for both mains was brown in colour and did not seem fresh.

Ordered a sucuk and halloumi wrap, recieved only a halloumi wrap

Normally excellent quality and great food however on this occasion the meat and rice arrived cold and the salad looked to have been sitting around for days with brown lettuce. Contacted the restaurant as this was so different from the normal experience but after many excuses I just received a sorry and I will put something on the house with the next order. At the moment I am obviously reluctant to order again so an overall disappointing experience.

I am new in the area and we have found our favourite kebab!! Always such fast delivery and great service. Honestly cannot fault the food! X

Was disappointed. New to the area and definitely this was very average. Cartilage in the chicken donner as well which I’ve never seen before, and had no flavour - was just like plain thigh meat, no marinade. Shish was better, but meat was not juicy and flavoursome like we are used to. Fries were very nice though, wasn’t soggy :) also requested specifics in the salad and this was not followed, so they must pre-do the pots and not read instructions.

We came 16 persons for a breakfast and the breakfast was very delicious, fresh bread, tahini like no other and everything was nice and yuumy. The staff were friendly and polite.

We ordered two mixed Donnas and chips. Plenty there for the three of us, it was delicious!

Good food, the mushrooms in butter sauce really needs to be delivered in a dish the size of a bucket it’s so good.

Can't fault the service or the delivery, but the food was terrible. For starters it was all luke warm but in addition to that I ordered a mixed shish which came with the measliest 7 chunks of meat which was all very dry like it had been sitting around for hours. The chips were also cold and were like cardboard. Never again will I order from here.

Honestly so very dissapointed. I don't even want to go into it because maybe they had a hard day, I don't know. But I would definitely not be ordering again. Overall food was good but not what I expected. Rice pudding didn't look good and had a burnt taste so had to bin it all but I do appreciate the hard work and the fact that they went back to bring me my can of coca cola

Not at all. Had to ring and claimed that the driver couldn't find it and had rung and left messages but I had no missed calls or messages. Was to be resent and received a call but he was nowhere near my house and I couldn't say where he was so it was cancelled and needs to be refunded.

We love Turquoise, my recommendation is order on the quieter nights of the week, we have ordered on different nights and always notice it’s better (temperature) Sunday to Thursday. We always collect as we can walk there. The pride bread is awesome. It’s our always go to if we want a Turkish takeaway.

Food was delivered slightly late but was absolutely perfect so five stars all-round. All items were, hot, delicious and perfectly spiced - even the fries were hot and crispy (with fluffy insides) despite being in one of those polystyrene containers.

Order arrived missing a main course. Restaurant was aware that they had run out. But didnt contact to tell me. Didnt advise when delivered and would not do anything as good will as "we've been really busy as its Fathers Day". Very disappointed as had high hopes for this restaurant. Will not be using again.

Had a large chicken Shish wrap. Wrap didn’t have any salad in it, definitely wasn’t a large and just didn’t have any flavour to it. Basically just a bit of chicken wrapped up
