Nice pub great for pub drinkers and also for those who want a pub meal. Very friendly and food was really good also. Well worth a visit

Good beer, surprisingly original menu and good service. Publican very welcoming. I had the brie, spinach and mushroom wellington and it was freshly cooked and excellent.

Simply exceptional yet again! I’ve never eaten anywhere else where the steaks are so consistently good. Never had a bad one, in fact I’ve never had one that hasn’t been fantastic. Thank you Three Kings, we’ll be back!

The food was really lovely as were the staff, but sadly it got ruined for us by a very loud woman being a pest, then a lady on the next table stood by our table ans shouted to her companions over our food, not the pubs fault, just selfish people

We were pleased with a very good lunch. The food was excellent, perfectly cooked and attractively presented. Staff were attentive and courteous. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

We called into the Three Kings by chance after a long walk on Wicken Fen, and we were very hungry!! The young man serving on the bar was very pleasant and friendly. We ordered the steak pie and sausage and mash. We waited long enough to know that it wasn't microwave food, but not too long - and it was certainly worth waiting for, as the food was excellent. The pie was full of very tender meat, the sausage were clearly good quality, with a huge pile of mash and onion gravy. Both meals were delicious. Speaking to the bar staff, the pub buys its meat and sausages from the local butcher. Butchers are never cheap, and yet the price of the meals was very good - £12.95 for the pie and £9.95 for the sausage and mash, so probably about £5 each less than we would expect to pay. A really lovely little pub, very nice and professional staff and wonderful food, so an excellent chef and good suppliers. It's a shame it's not closer to where we are currently staying, as we'd be back like a shot!

I went there for dinner on fish & chip Tuesday and the food was really good, quite a large plate. The special crumble was also extremely yummy!

We booked in at short notice and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent; simple but freshly cooked from raw ingredients, and very good value. The beer (Osprey) was very good too and there was a sunny courtyard available outside.

We were staying at The old hall Ely and booked here in advance. Food was plentiful and tasty. I had the lamb chops and my wife the pan fried hake. The waiter was so friendly and polite, we didn't catch his name. He is a credit to the place. Great food and customer service, thank you.

I can only assume that things are better during the week, but my husband and i booked and visited for Sunday lunch while staying in Ely, after reading the good reviews, and ended up walking out without having eaten.For a start, the photos show tables with tablecloths, and we were put in the bar of a very crowded pub. We had to find someone to tell about our booking, as we were completely ignored on arrival. We also noticed that people were coming and going from the bar itself, which we thought wasn't allowed in these strange times.We were taken to a very small table, and ordered drinks after after asking a young girl if we could give her an order. The drinks didn't take too long to come, but after 45 minutes we had not got any food, and noticed that very little was being brought out, and there were tables waiting that had arrived before us. The lady on the next table then told us that they had been waiting for an hour and half, and had thought of leaving but worried that at 2.45 they wouldn't be able to eat anywhere else. We decided to take a chance on that, so left after paying for our drinks.No-one asked us why we were leaving, and when I told the barman, he just said that there were only two people in the kitchen, and they were dealing with takeaways as well, and couldn't cope with the demand!If they can't cope, they should surely look after their booked customers firs, and tell people that they can't do takeaways at busy times!Really disappointed all round. Luckily for us we rang the Royal Albert in Ely and managed to get a table in their marquee.

Today we had an amazing lunch at the Three kings for my husband's birthday. The choice available was extensive and we were really spoilt for choice. In the end we ordered fish and chips, steak and kidney pie and the venison burger for our mains. They were absolutely delicious and brought to our table with a smile and efficient service. From start to end the meal and service was impressive and we were pleased to be able to enjoy the sunshine outside in the courtyard. Everything felt well organised with regards to restrictions and the toilets were spotless. Overall, a lovely experience and one we would like to have again soon! Thankyou.

10/10 chicken curry, better than any Indian take out curry in the local area which I’ve tried! The portions are so generously sized too! There is always a happy face to greet you as you come and collect your takeaway! The pub itself looks absolutely fabulous with Christmas decorations up!

We went here last week with our family and we had a brilliant meal.The pub had a lovely roaring log fire and was very clean and tidy.Our main meals were all freshly cooked and hot,the desserts were all scrumptious, we left feeling very full and satisfied.The service was excellent we were served by a very nice young man.This pub is a little gem.

Visited for an evening meal, pre booked a table easily online, staff were really friendly and helpful, service was great. Food was delicious, we had the vegetarian mushroom, spinich and brie wellington and crumble and brownie desserts which were really well made. Covid measures in place and felt safe. Highly recommend and we will be visiting again.

Regular here and it is always lovely food and drink. The staff are very friendly too My particular favorite meal is the steak, the peppercorn source is amazing. The pies are great too!

Called in for a pre booked meal whilst in the area. Being a Monday they offer 3 courses for £19.99 which was great value of money. We Started off with Brocolli and Stilton soup and deep fried king prawns with a sweet chilli dip. Main courses were Steak, well cooked and the biggest pork ribs with bbq sauce I’ve had since eating them in the USA. All hot and well seasoned and cooked. Home made sweets finished off a great meal.The only down sides were we were the only people in the place and it was freezing! That said we couldn’t fault the food and we would go back again when in the area.

My local for a few years now. Wonderful friendly staff, rustic and comfortable setting, and excellent food. Dogs are also welcome outside and in the bar area as well. Would particularly recommend the Wednesday Steak Night special. Fantastic value and tastes amazing - keeps me coming back every week.Would rate a solid 5/5.

One of two local sit dine in restaurants where I’d go to treat myself occasionally. The food has always been consistently good. I had white bait for staters and pork belly with lovely crackling. Portion was sizeable but I still managed to polish everything off my plate, it was so delicious. I asked for more veggies instead of potatoes and was done just right. One can go keto easily here or you can have your carbs. Price was reasonable for the quality food. Will certainly come again.

We regularly order takeaways from this pub as I am on chemo so can't go out at the moment. So today I decided as I had an appetite that I really fancied a Sunday roast. But when I rang up to order three meals I was told rather dismissively that the kitchen was too busy to do take aways! Well we could have waited until you weren't as busy or something, but no apologies or suggestions were made. You appear so accommodating on your website. A take away customer is still a customer, and we were regulars. I am giving you three out of five because your food is nice, when you can get it!

We were here last night. We unfortunately arrived just after 8 pm and the kitchen was closed so we had drinks. As another couple came in after us also wanting food, the chef Jay agreed to us ordering food. The steak was to die for, cooked perfectly and so tender. Our son had the curry, which he said was one of the best he had ever had. All portions were very substantial. All staff were very attentive and the pub is beautiful. Couldn't praise it enough. Thank you so much Jay for cooking for us.

Came for a visit my partner, daughter, friends and their daughter. Arrived at 12.30 and were shown to our seats by a polite lady. She gave us menus and took a drinks order. They arrived promptly and when we were ready, the lady came and took our food order. I had the lamb which was amazing. The 2 sirloin steaks looked amazing and the venison burger was apparently heavenly. Even the kids food was brilliant. And the desserts.... Cheesecake, crumble and brownies. Just brilliant. Wow! Went for Sunday lunch on 2nd August. The food was amazing and staff so helpful and friendly. It was an excellent experience and would go again without hesitation. Haddenham people are very lucky to have such a fabulous pub in the village. Well done to the chef and staff there as nothing was to much trouble. Loved it

For several years our family has regularly booked a table at “The 3 Kings, Haddenham, Cambridgeshire” for our get togethers and have never been disappointed with the standard. We have recently swapped to takeaways from them (on one occasion for 10 people). The food is great quality (especially the Sunday roasts) and inexpensive. Just had the most amazing lunch at The Three Kings. I had Beef Lasagne and my husband had Sausage and Chips. Excellent lunch, the pub has made sure everyone socially distances. Everywhere is clean and ready to welcome people back after lockdown.Will be back very soon.

I have always wanted to try the Steak so decided to go to The Three Kings with my children.I had a 10 oz Rump Steak and believe me I wasn’t disappointed.It was orgasmic!,cooked to my specification of medium rare.The Peppercorn Sauce,Tomato,Onion Rings,Mushrooms and Chips were delicious.All presented beautifully and served with a friendly smile.Definitely will be going back for more!

Went on a sunday and there was only one choice for a vegitarian - vegetarian lasagne, I'm a pescatarian so luckily had a fish choice also. I ordered the fish and chips. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The pub atmosphere was very friendly. it would just be nice to have more vegetarian choices than one dish. I would recommend to a meat eater, but not a vegetarian/pescatarian, but this hasn't detered me from giving a good review as the Three Kings definetly deserve a good review.

I met a friend here & it happened to be fish n’ chips night, so, we went for fish n’ chips! They were lovely - a lovely batter & fab chips. Friendly staff too.

Steak night 40thWe had an amazing ‘steak night’ evening for my wife’s 40th birthday, 21 friends and kids. Food was pre ordered and was served straight away which was great with 11 kids ranging from 5-15. Steak was spot on, haven’t been for a year or so, steak tasted the same if not better, crunchy onion rigs, amazing mushrooms, great chips, what else can I say..... kids food could of done with some kids vegetables, carrots, broccoli sweet corner the like, other than that spot on!!! Oh and the ales were good....... thanks for a memorable evening.

The service here is always first class. Steak night is a special treat. Food was cooked to perfection and well presented. Apart from the weekday specials the main menu is extensive and varied and always good value.If you haven’t tried the Three Kings give it a whirl you won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I visited The Three Kings again on Saturday evening and once again we did not leave disappointed. The food is cooked to order, so, unless you have phoned your order through, be prepared to wait for half an hour for your meal whilst enjoying a glass of wine or one of an ever changing selection of Real Ales. The Staff are friendly and attentive and the menu is varied and satisfying, comprising such delights as Monkfish, Beef Wellington and spicy King Prawns with linguine, as well as more traditional foods such as Pork Belly, Chicken Supreme and Fish and Chips. the Starters and Desserts are varied and filling and all in all everyone will find something to enjoy. The Kings also run theme days during the week such as Thursdays which is "Curry & Cobra day" which provides a free bottle of Cobra lager to go with your curry of the day for £9.50. To sum up - Fine Dining at a reasonable price.

Decided to pop in The Three Kings in Haddenham as I live nearby ,fancied a roast on a whim and I went with the roast beef and it was divine.The roast potatoes were cooked to perfection and the vegetables were delicious.The pub was very busy and I was still seen to by members of staff (who were very friendly.)I will definitely be revisiting and would thoroughly recommend.

If you are looking for a deliciously tasty, piping-hot meal and are in the Cambridgeshire area, then visit 'The Three Kings' in Haddenham. I had the homemade steak and ale pie, while other members of the family tucked into a homemade burger. Both dishes were fabulous - no frills, just hearty fare, pleasantly priced. So, if you want a real pub with a roaring fire, friendly locals and some great food then you will be happy you sought out this little gem. Jordan, was a great host, pulling pints and serving food and attentive to our needs even when the auditor arrived ... and he was equally impressed!

I have been eating in pubs for over 30 years and am used - after doing some research - to arriving somewhere new with quite high expectations, only to leave a little disappointed. My Sunday roast turkey at The Three Kings was beautifully cooked and presented, good and hot with plenty of vegetables - exactly as I had hoped. The service was very attentive too, despite the place being very busy. Top marks!

As always a pleasure to visit this very popular pub. there was a large Christmas function prepared and and a couple of smaller one yet we received the same great service and food as normal I,i even getting an off menu item. Always feel welcome here and to be honest don't want to leave it has a great atmosphere

Met up with friends for a mid week, pre-Christmas get together. The pub looks bigger on the outside than in but I would be hard pushed to describe it as cosy as others have done. The bar was crowded with just one person serving. We had a table booked but couldn’t get close enough to let her know and there were no other staff about. We decided to press on through past the bar - not ideal having blokes on bar stools blocking the narrow passageway, and loiter in the restaurant area in the hope of catching a passing member of staff. Again, no one about. I eventually managed to catch the eye of the person behind the bar and we were seated.

Really enjoyed the vist, all of us thought it was excellent! A step up from the normal pub menus and really nicely presented.

Such a lovely venue. Cosy and inviting atmosphere with very friendly and polite staff. Excellent food and reasonably priced. The pork medallions with mash, red wine gravy with fine greens beans and carrots were just delicious and the cheesecake was a moment of pure decadence. We chose here for our first date and we weren’t disappointed, the date was pretty decent too ! Thank you

Had a lovely meal at Three Kings with my partner , Vera made us feel very comfortable from start to finish. A little bit of wait for the food but the service was excellent. Highly recommended you won’t be disappointed :) we will be back again after Christmas :)

Having recently visited the Three Kings for a spot of Sunday lunch to celebrate father in laws birthday, we were made to feel welcome, service for drinks and food was fantastic. Best Sunday lunch in while, as a family though would like to feedback that there is no baby change facilities on site. Was given a key to go to the disabled loo outside, obviously didn’t change in there on the cold floor. But that is my only criticism.

hadnt been here for over 30 yrs and went for lunch with wife and brother i law the atmosphere was good and staff very fiiendly our meal was excellent and service was great would definitly recommend it

This was my second visit to make sure the first wasn't a fluke! I was not disappointed. The menu is varied and there's something to suit all tastes and pockets. I visited the first time with my wife and on this occasion with my wife and son.

Easy to park rounds the back of the pub. The service is very friendly but the food is the star as it was fantastic, not the speediest but completely worth the wait. We had 5 in our party most of us having something different and everything was superb. They have the main menu as well as the lunch menu which we ordered from. Worth worth visiting. Even has a open fire to keep you warm on those chilly days and evenings.

Had lunch on a Thursday lunch time. Was lovely meal freshly cooked to order, staff good and always friendly. Plus can take your dog 😊 see you again soon .

I took a party of 18 people to this pub. 16 had pre-ordered, 2 ordered on the day, 3 people then decided to change the starter that they had ordered prevously and 3 more decided to have a dessert which they had not pre-ordered. Throughout we were met with a "can do" attitude, nothing was too much trouble. The food was superb, hot and delicious, empty plates all round at the end of the meal. They even coped with everyone wanting to pay their bills separately. Nothing but praise for them. Many thanks, we will be back.

Recently moved into the area and have started to come to the Three Kings. The food is excellent. The service is very good and all members of staff are polite and know their job. We did not have to wait for our order to be taken and although the food is freshly cooked we did not have to wait long for our food. We are very lucky to have the Three Kings as our village pub and I would recommend it to anyone. We are definitely going to be regulars.

Cannot rate The Three Kings any higher, if I could I would, excellent food and very friendly staff, would recommend it to anyone, cannot wait for Xmas lunch there.

Went for an impromptu meal with my family . Served by a young lady who was very polite and professional and extremely friendly. Was seated in the restaurant where there was a lovely atmosphere and great ambiance . The food was outstanding , had rib eye steak which melted in the mouth . The portions were just the right size , will definitely go again .

Our first visit to the pub for an evening meal. A very welcoming waitress showed us to our table that we had reserved on their website a couple of days before. The food is all home cooked and delicious. My father-in-law had the sirloin steak which he really enjoyed. The wife had the chicken in creamy asparagus sauce which she loved and as it was 'curry night' I had the beef bhuna which came with rice, poppadum, naan, mango chutney and a bottle of Cobra - excellent! The pub has a very cosy feeling about it and the waitresses were very welcoming and helpful. There is ample car parking. I would definitely recommend visiting - if you visit their website they have themed food nights every week.

The quality and choice of home cooked food at the Three Kings cannot be beaten in our view. The choice of cask ales and malts and gin is impressive The young and friendly staff clearly enjoy what they do and put the customer first. Nothing is too much trouble even during very busy periods. The owner is welcoming and the pub is dog friendly. Sunday lunch for choice and high standards of food, price and service cannnot be beaten. There are also daily specials that other pubs would struggle to offer for the standard and price. This is a perfect destination for a special occasion or any event where you don’t want to be disappointed. The Three Kings has never disappointed and stands head and shoulders above many other gastropubs for the high standards that it retains. It is clear that whilst many other pubs are failing the Three Kings has the winning formula to go from strength to strength - it deserves to.

I went for dinner and ordered a dish that usually is in the lunch menu and the staff very kindly prepared it for me. It was very good and also the dessert. All the girls of the staff were also very kind.Thank you! ;):

Excellent from start to finish, the service we the 1st thing that impressed, a young bar maid served us and was well above her age for the quality of service, easy to pigeonhole younger staff as some times they can seem somewhat disinterested but not this young lady, next we were impressed by another young lady who approached us to ask if we wanted to order, we had arrived very early for our table and chose to have a drink and a seat to look at the menu before moving to the restaurant, she was very polite and knowledgable.

Booked a table online and was delighted to receive a confirmation email back. We phoned while en route to say we were running late and the staff were grateful. Could have done without having to chase for bread and water ordered with our meal and not delivered till we’d nearly finished. That said when I said it was no longer required as it was so late arriving there was no argument and we were not charged.

Went to celebrate a friends special birthday. Once again, super service, fantastic food and a lovely ambience. One of the party is Gluten and Dairy intolerant and they accommodated her special requirements faultlessly even providing a pudding. The staff are always efficient, friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and I'm pleased to live close enough to visit often. Have chosen to go for a family Sunday lunch to celebrate my Golden Wedding - say no more!

I was last here for dinner on 23rd September 2019 with my family and all the meals were fantastic. I cannot actually praise them enough. Staff were friendly and very helpful. We didn't need to even leave our table for drinks. It was lovely for the owner to actually come out to ask how the food was after the service. Obviously no complaints and I went into work the very next day and spread the word of how fabulous it was. Just booked up again for Monday 7th October and very much looking forward to it. I'm so glad we live not too far away. Well worth a visit.

This is definitely a pub that draws diners, especially for Sunday Lunch. A booking is definitely advised.

We live in a nearby village to The Three Kings and from our very first visit have always received a warm welcome. It has a great atmosphere and the food can not be faulted. It is our go to pub, whether it be just myself and my fiancé or taking our friends and family for a meal out. I really can’t find one thing they could improve on and look forward to our next visit soon.

We stopped in here on our way to visit family, and were easily able to get a table. Good menu, and the food was lovely. The girl who was behind the bar was very friendly and welcoming, and took our order at our table.

Top of the range food in a normal looking pub. A great surprise. Far better than many top restaurants.

Enjoyable, relaxing light lunch. Food tasty. We would suggest that the background music is either turned off or quieter music chosen as it was difficult at times to hear one another speak. Good car parking.

Food was poor, the white wine was terrible, it could be the cheapest option and not only that it was warm and they didn’t even bother to inform you that was warm. We have to ask for ice because it was impossible to drink.

Four of us out for an evening meal. Staff very attentive and accommodating. Steaks, lamb and chicken dishes were excellent - absolutely no cause for complaint. Staff attentive but not pushy. One minor point, cushions on the wooden chairs would be a nice addition as they tend to get a little uncomfortable after a while. Prior booking though not essential is a good idea.
