The Swan Public House in North Norfolk

The food was very good well cooked and presented, we had to wait for a while before our order was placed, however it's a busy local pub which caters for holiday makers also so this could have been the reason for the wait. Cheerful and pleasant staff, I would certainly eat there again.

A great pub with great staff & a great selection of food & beer. As we were staying nearby, we chose this place to eat for five of the seven nights we were there. As they are also dog friendly, it was an added bonus for us. We couldn't fault one meal that we had there or the portions! Would most definitely visit again we're down there again & it is highly recommended.

On arrival the staff were welcoming and found a table for us straight away. No awkwardness having a dog, genuinely friendly. Most importantly the food was great. Tasty and good portion size.

Really great, beautifully decorated pub in the heart of Stalham. Caters very well for families with an extensive menu. Service was excellent and really friendly. We all enjoyed our food, and our children particularly loved that they could get slushies after their meal!

I recently visited an amazing place with my family for drinks and dinner, and we had a truly wonderful evening! The team behind the bar really went out of their way to make our experience exceptional. Gemma, the landlady, was incredibly friendly and genuinely helpful. The food was absolutely outstanding – I savored every bite of my delicious wagu burger and chop. My son's custom-made pizza was a big hit, and my other son was thrilled to be able to have two starters as her main course, all thanks to Gemma's accommodating nature. We are eagerly looking forward to our next visit, and I wholeheartedly recommend this gem to anyone exploring Stalham. It's an absolute must-visit!

Excellent meal and excellent service. This establishment was recommended for us by a local of the area, so we thought we would give it a try and we was not disappointed with the result. Called on Sunday lunchtime and decided to eat after checking out the menu. Roast dinner and pie both lovely! Good portion sizes and variety of veg. Was also excellent service.

Dropped in hoping for Sunday lunch, the staff were so accommodating and friendly and cleared a table for us very quickly. The roast was exceptionally good and the desserts were also highly rated. Very dog friendly also, definitely worth a visit.

Had a lovely family meal here, the atmosphere was very friendly and the staff were great.Everyone said their food was delicious,I highly recommend the tomahawk steak,my compliments to the chef.

My wife and I came for our 2nd wedding anniversary whilst boating on the broads. Absolutely perfect food-I had the sirloin steak, my wife the penang chicken curry. Service was great. A thoroughly enjoyable experience!

I frequently go to the Swan with my family and friends. It's about time I leave a review. My family and I visit the Swan regularly for a bite to eat or just a drink. The staff are always extremely welcoming. From the moment we walk in the door we're greeted with smiles and happy faces. Gemma who is often on shift, does her utmost to make us feel comfortable and always gives great recommendations on food. She's always incredibly understanding of my boy (who is autistic) and has tailored orders to be smaller and customised just for him. We don't often get service like that so it's always appreciated and really helps us to go out. The food is always wonderful. From your traditional pub food to varying specials, It's always nice to have new options. I recent enjoyed an 8oz wagyu burger which was delicious. I couldn't recommend the Swan enough. My family, friends and I will continue to be regulars for as long as possible.

We called in at The Swan, Stalham as it was recommended in the visitor book where we were staying. We were really glad we did. The welcome from the staff and customers was lovely. Our dog was given treats, a drink and lots of fusses. We both had the prawn cocktail starter which came with a warm mini loaf, a nice touch. We had the hake from the specials menu and the lamb chops, both served with seasonal roast veg. The food was delicious. There are also a good range of ales on offer and they didn't laugh when I asked for a half of shandy! We had a lovely visit, spending time talking to a, few locals who gave us some good advice about where to visit. We will call in again when we return. Thank you The Swan Inn, it was a pleasure.

we booked a 'pod' here due to the covid outdoor restrictions and we are so glad we did. it provided shelter from the rain, with a heater and we had it for as long as we wanted which was great as it was rainy and chilly the day we went. friendly staff, good choice of drinks and menu with good vegetarian/vegan options :) we really enjoyed during our trip to Stalham. I stopped in with my family (wife and two kids) for lunch, we had our two dogs with us, we were all made to feel very welcome right from the start. The draught beers were great, wine was lovely, and the kids were happy with their soft drinks.The bar man was simply brilliant, and catered for our every need. Food was good too, and there was a nice selection on the menu, pizzas were our favourite.Well worth a visit!

We had a Roast dinner on Sunday ( 18 Oct) - it was brilliant. There was a choice of 3 meats. Plenty of everything without there being too much. The covid precautions etc were fine. Book - don't turn up - it may we'll be full.

We had a lovely meal out last Tuesday as a belated birthday meal with family. The food was delicious as always, and fairly good value too, maybe slightly on the expensive side, but the food was worth it. We spent a most enjoyable lunch at the Swan. Welcomed at the door and invited to Track and Trace. Excellent friendly service and the post COVID 19 process well explained. Wide ranging menu and good range of beers and lagers. Prompt service (with masks worn) and well presented. Very tasty food. Next time in Stalham, we would definitely go back. An excellent experience enhanced by very attentive and helpful staff - well done.

We had pre-booked a Sunday lunch here a few days before we left home as we guessed it might be busy on a bank holiday weekend and so it turned out. Had a lovely lunch, food and service spot on. Would recommend if visiting the area.

We arrived shortly after 12 on a Sunday, lured in by the prospect of a reasonably priced Sunday lunch. Only when we got sat down were we told that they had run out - despite people coming after us who were served said meal (although to be fair they had probably booked). How can you run out of Sunday roast bat midday in a reduced-booking situation? Anyway, we would have gone elsewhere had we known - but because we were already there we stayed and ordered from the otherwise standard pub frozen meal menu. Food was OK but nothing special and the service was not hot!

Can recommend for good pub food! We had a fabulous T bone steak and a steak pie off the specials - can’t fault either dish. Very safe and comfortable environment too - very clean! Thanks for a lovely meal!

We popped into the pub but we’re a bit early for the food service starting by about 40 mins. The staff could not have been more helpful. Got drinks for us, brought menus and told us as soon as the chef arrived our orders would be first. Food was great and so was the service. Pop in if you’re in the area.
