This our local favourite "go to" restaurant, we consider ourselves so lucky to have such a great place on our doorstep, always good food, great staff, highly recommended.

Cosy, plenty of choice, nice surroundings, whether in the city for a quick cuppa and cake, or pre cinema evening meal, its excellent - you can even take your wine into the cinema to enjoy during the showing, so there's no need to rush. Very grown up!

Once again, a lovely Sunday Lunch at The Dining Room on 9th June. Excellent friendly service, lovely food, good surroundings and Parking. The Roast was a generous helping of beef, pork or lamb all of which came with a well cooked portion of vegetables, nicely firm rather than the often 'mushe' you can get in a restuarant, good quantity of rich tasty gravy and yummy roast potatoes. With melon and strawberry balls or the crab fishcakes to start and the panacotta, crumble or chocolate torte dessert to finish the lunch was a real treat for the 4 of us. Finished off with a liquer coffee we felt spoilt, full and relaxed. Highly recomended if you want a sunday lunch as a special treat.

We ate here as guests of the hotel. The dining room is spacious and welcoming and has a good ambience. I especially liked the fact that they set the larger tables for two persons so there was plenty of room. The waitress was obviously new and missed a few things like telling us the plates were very hot but she was polite and friendly. I went for the crab cakes to start and my wife the warm goats cheese salad. The crab cakes were home made but lacked flavour but the cheese was mild and delicious. The salad had no dressing and I noted another customer asking for dressing too. For a main course I went for speciality sausages with mash and my wife the 28 day aged sirloin steak. The sausages were okay but three different ones would have had more impact than three the same, the mash was good. Her steak was well cooked but I thought it lacked flavour. Dessert was the saving grace, I had an apple and gooseberry crumble which was baking hot with a lovely buttery crumble and my wife a light creme brûlée with superb shortbread biscuits. Our wine choice was the prosecco which at £21 was a good choice and excellent. Looking at Tripadvisor this may be the best place in Cromer for a more formal meal and you probably won't be disappointed, just don't expect to be excited.

Sunday Lunch Roast review! - I appreciate the Crab chowder was cheap but I still think it was lacking in content perhaps a few chunks of potatoe or leek would of helped? also very very rich in cream needed a better balance of cream & milk/cooking liquer. Roast beef/turkey again was priced very reasonably, roast pots seemed very much to be frozen pots bought in and deep fried certainly were not homemade and roasted. (come on chef a real roastie is a must!) otherwise meat good, yorkshire pud good and the easiest thing to get wrong is also the easiest thing to get right which is the vegtables. Thumbs up here all veg cooked well and not overly so, so veg retained their colours. The restaurant in style and comfort is very good indeed. The gardens and outside seating on a good day are very pleasant. Another area restaurants are failed is waiting staff, here the waiting staff are fantastic especially the young chap with a baby on the way! who was exceptional. All in all a good experience,I recommend it, and will be back someday soon!

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and after a faultless meal on the first night, ate here for the rest of our stay. The food was consistently high quality, homecooked, well presented and delicious!

We ordered a selection of savoury food for 17 people for a family celebration. Sam was very helpful and gave us a lovely choice of food from which to choose. The food was beautifully presented and we all agreed that it was delicious. Don't hesitate to use their outside catering services.

Very lovely pancakes! I had a pancake stack with blueberries, cream, and added bacon 🥓🥓 a real treat to beat the January blues. These were good value as I got a big portion for the price. If you are big tea drinkers I would recommend being sure to ask for builders tea to bring the cost down, and to save space on the small tables (and no tea pot faff). When we came the service a bit slow 🦥 but very friendly. We were on a high barstool table which wasn't the most comfortable, but also, we were a walk-in and grateful to have been seated. Toilets are in good order (has been the case across multiple visits). There's a courtyard.
