The best restaurants in East of England

Place is nice and well presented. Menu different to the indians i tend to go to. The food game fast enough after poppedom starter. good quality and enjoyed. Main - ordered jalfrezi extra hot, burnt ginger and chilli rice. Garlic nan. Honestly it wasnt the best curry i have had looked the part but all dishes lacked in flavour for me. Nan was light and looked amazing just lacked the garlic taste. Filled a hole but just needed abit of spice and a stronger flavour and would have been great. Wouldnt return im afraid as the prices are on upper end and lacked the flavour.

Fantastic menu and the food was genuine Thai flavours. Really really tasty. And to top it all the service was outstanding, especially Siri. Great front of house with just the right level of attention without being overbearing. Fantastic dinner. I enjoyed very much.

Having frequently noticed the consistent bustle around Dinios in Hertford, we decided to dine there and experience it firsthand. Both dishes were highly enjoyable, showcasing the kitchen’s attention to detail and quality. Overall, Dinios delivered an impressive dining experience and is well worth visiting, whether you’ve been curious about it for some time or are simply looking for a new culinary spot in Hertford.

A rare find, a pub/restaurant with a great choice of drinks, an excellent range of food and very attentive staff. If it’s pub grub you want it’s maybe not for you but don’t let that stop you sampling the menu as you’ll be surprised how good it is. The staff go out of their way to make it special. An added bonus is that it’s dog friendly.

Steak freezing cold and I mean cold, hair on sons dinner, another steak asked for rare and got well done salad gone down hill no onion half a cherry tomato loads of lettuce and red cabbage that was it, this place gone down hill from when we last went when it was kavern kitchen, don’t knows what’s gone on but it’s lost its mojo, sorry won’t be back

Been here a number of times, luch and dinner, and the Food here is always good. Love the bread before your starter or main, and its always freshly baked 🤤 Freshly cooked, attentive staff and reasonable prices for what you get.

Nice atmosphere, basic decor and seating. Friendly staff. Asked for medium cooked burger but unfortunately, it was well done.

Everyone should go here just for the milkshakes. We even had an extra milkshake instead of dessert because they are soooo good. Rayna May was a friendly, efficient, knowledgeable waitress. The place was really clean and comfortable. The food was very reasonably priced. My salad was amazing, my friend really enjoyed her burger and did I mention the milkshakes 🤣🤣🤣

Popped in early afternoon for a last meal of the year lunch. We were impressed by the look of the place (I've not been since it was the Imperial Bento Chinese) and the decor is great. It was pretty chilly inside though and the radiator next to me was cold. We'd had an early start that day and so we were really hungry and looking forward to some food. We ordered some drinks and then food and waited patiently. And then we waited some more. And then more.... By the time we got our food we had been there for 1 hour and 15 mins. It was just too long and even more so as it felt cold in the restaurant. The burgers we ordered were actually very good and the side of mac and cheese was nice too. They were cooked well and hot. We had every intention of pudding but after waiting so long we couldn't risk waiting another hour for that and so we didn't bother. Had the place been busy I could possibly understand the long wait but there were 5 tables in with us, some already eating. Plus it's a burger, how long does that take to cook?! It's a shame as we would love to come back because of the good food and maybe we will knowing now we will have to wait, but it's far from ideal. Staff were really nice so that's a plus. Toilets awful and absolutely freezing. Go, but be prepared to wait!
