The service was impeccable, a bowl of water was bought for our dog, the victoria sponge was amazing. Can't say thank you enough.

Guys, if you haven’t been here, what are you doing? This is the freshest food I’ve tasted in Leigh by a long shot and unbelievably reasonably priced. Honestly, as a girl in her twenties, I wouldn’t waste my money on bottomless brunches in chain restaurants with barely any alcohol and mid food. Hogar Del Mar offer a bottomless brunch with all fresh tapas and sangria. I know where I’d rather spend my money! X The most beautiful hidden gem in Leigh. Wasn’t big enough and for the money I paid,it really wasn’t worth it. I won’t be ordering again

Called today for lunchtime special Small cod and chips There was a small wait while they cooked them However you don't mind when there cooked fresh Really great tasting fish and chips Would absolutely recommend The seats outside are an excellent addition too

Service was really attentive and polite, Food was delicious and fast to arrive. Wanted something slightly different to the menu and was no problem at all, really good value for money food was delicious and inexpensive ! Never been before but would 100% recomend little hidden gem!

Ruddiest place I’ve ever been, do not visit!! Waited at the bar, bar staff looked at me and walked off….people walked in, obviously locals and she walked straight over and served. I walked away and left

A nice country pub with a good atmosphere and a fine selection of beers and a good menu of tasty food. The bar staff were friendly, helpful and attentive.

I eat in here quite often and I find everything very good. Friends of mine have often come with me as they found it very nice and e joyable. The staff are very polite and friendly, helpful in anything you need information with. The food is always tasty and the portions aren’t skimped on at all. There is always plenty of people in there.

This is my go to Chinese in Clacton, they are friendly and the food is fresh and delicious! I get it near enough every week from royal bejing and I have only ever had one mistake by them, which they then gave me a free meal on my next visit. Definitely recommend !!

This place is amazing!!! Such friendly staff and excellent food. The atmosphere was really cozy and welcoming. Such a shame they are shutting. One of the best cafes I’ve ever been to. I like to pop in as much as i can as i know i will never get let down coming to this place! It is perfect for anyone as there is a lovely big garden with a playground for the kids, In side and outside seating, good decorations and excellent coffees.

Went there Christmas Eve with friends, 10 of us, including one in a wheelchair. Landlady watched us come thru the door, struggling with wheelchair in the process, and once we got in there bluntly told us there were no tables vacant and we couldn’t stand anywhere either. We asked how about out the back and were rudely told “no, it’s laid up for tomorrow”. So we had to turn round and leave without getting g served. Her attitude was appalling and extremely rude - there certainly would have been a more polite way of turning us away. Will never go there again till it’s sold to new owners. Luckily we have another extremely friendly and welcoming pub in the village so Christmas Eve was still great for us.

As a Coeliac this place is amazing! It’s a bit of journey for us but worth it every time to have the freedom to eat completely safely. Nothing is too much trouble.
