The best restaurants in East of England

First visit last Saturday. Will return. Friendly staff & lovely food.

Nice pub. 20 minute walk from where we were staying. Good food and friendly staff.

Great atmosphere on Saturday night with a brilliant live singer, food was good, service was good. Dave and Tess are wonderful welcoming hosts, our favourite pub in the area by far.

Excellent food and service for our classic car club's pie and pint night. Cannot fault anything. Steak pie was so tender as was chicken, big tender pieces of chicken breat and all home made. Thank you

Popped in after a lovely day out at the coast to finish off the day with a pint of Guinness on our journey home. Felt so incredibly unwelcome. No eye contact given by older male staff member at the bar who muttered ‘we only do it in cans’ under his breath - wish we had walked out there and then. We did however, notice that obvious locals to the pub were greeted… not in a massively friendly way I might add - benefit of the doubt- maybe it’s their way or they were just having a bad day - whichever - we won’t return!

Excellent steak and ale pie, and lovely "proper" pub to enjoy dinner in. Will drop in again next time we visit family in the town. The missing star is because the kids' pasta was basically sauce with a few bits of broken pasta - and when they didn't like the sauce, they didn't eat much as it was 90% sauce, so that was a bit of a waste.

A wonderful Anniversary lunch on Saturday. 15 people, 3 generations. Everyone agreed the food was excellent, the staff so friendly and helpful and the event was a great success. Thank you, Ranfields.

Best place to eat . Never wait more than 10 min. Specially Abdullah and Bilal give always gives there best in services.

Came for Sunday lunch and booked online the day before. We all had a roast and it was reasonably priced. Beef was cooked perfectly, pork was tender and juicy. The crackling was a particular highlight! Roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft inside, wonderful arrange of vegetables. My only small comment would be the red cabbage was a bit too sweet, otherwise perfect! Service from the team was top notch. All had done with a smile. Would definitely come back again!

The best Sushi in London..Incredible value..

Great family run restaurant. We're vegetarian, so I asked for food that was not shown on the menu and something from their lunchtime menu ... they were so accommodating. The tiamasu was to die for, as was everything we had. Special thanks to the amazing waitresses ... Mary and ilaria for their great service and the owner, Melinda, who all looked after us.

A lovely restaurant. After waking up and down looking for a nice restaurant we came across Lekthai and the waitress Demi couldnt of been more helpful. Brought out a menu for us and took the time to explain the dishes. Food was really, staff friendly. Would definitely go again.

As a weekly regular I could sing the praises of Olivers every time but it's been a fair while since penning another review. Suffice to say nothing changes....a warm welcome, consistently good produce,well cooked and served by polite friendly staff. Colin Oliver and the gang deserve nothing but the highest praise. Head and shoulders above anywhere else you would find refreshment from Leigh to Shoebury. Long may you reign in our opinion.

Lovely cake and great with kids and dogs

We had a delicious meal - the staff were very welcoming and super helpful when I was unsure what to have. The waiter’s suggestion was spot on. I highly recommend it as a great place to eat which was very reasonably priced. The tables were beautifully dressed with white linen and everything was spotlessly clean.
