This place has so much potential! Shame the food let's it down ! Mediocre roast dinner with awful dessert! 4 smallest profiteroles dray as a bine with no cream inside ! Had to return. No one was there on a Sunday lunchtime! If the food had been better we would have returned!! Management need to sort out chefs ! Waitress was good though !

First time visit to The Queen's Head, and we will be back. We had the Norfolk Restaurant Week menu which was very good value. Interesting choice. Blueberry bbq chicken was fabulous. Everything seemed fresh and home made. Friendly service, but very slow even though it was very quiet, Monday lunchtime.

Booked for lunch today! Visited as this place was included on Norfolk restaurant week offering 2 course meal for £18. We were immediate informed that 50% of the starters were unavailable ! How does that happen on the 1st day of offer🤷🏻‍♂️ We decided to opt for the other deal being 2 mains for £22! Simple food on offer but we waited over an hour for our simple meals! This was when the place was almost empty!! Anyway the meals were ok and good value! Would I go back again 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Now under new management. Food had previously been good for Sunday lunch. Cannot comment on the as we left after not having got our meal. Firstly I ordered three different items and were told none available and then told by the waitress that there must be something else on the menu you might like. I then selected something. After waiting an hour and another couple who had ordered long before us still had not had their meal we asked how long it would be, to be told soon but would not be given a time. So we asked to pay for our drinks andleft. We went to another pub in the area and had a carvery which was very nice and we did not have to wait. Pity the previous people had left.

We booked for a Saturday evening well in advance as we were staying in the village and a group of 9 people. The pub looked lovely and we had a warm reception from the bar man. We were shown to our table, there were only 2 other people dining. We were given the menus and chose our food. When the barman came to take our orders the fun began. ‘Sorry we only have one of those’, ‘sorry we only have one of those’ again and again - so at least 5 of us had to re-choose our food and negotiate with each other!! Then I asked for the wine menu ‘we don’t have one’! He listed some wines and I asked if they were bottles or glasses. ‘Both’ he said! So we asked for 2 bottles of Malbec. ‘We only have 1’ ! Ok we’ll have that one and a Rioja… ‘well, we don’t have a full one as we’ve already opened it’! Aaasgh! The food was fabulous! The staff were fabulous! The availability of food and wine was poor! Especially for a large advanced booking. Such a shame. Needless to say we didn’t even attempt to order desserts or coffee on the assumption there wouldn’t be any. Having said that we would return- perhaps pre-ordering next time!

The price for food is ridiculous for a small village. Not to mentions the food was gross, the old pub owners food was so much better, they didn't make simple food complex. When you order mashed potato with your food you expect potatoes that are mashed only. Not mixed with bacon, onion and leek. Never ever going there again. Such a shame.

Wow, what a difference! Despite living less than 5 minutes walk away, we haven’t eaten together in the pub for years due to the vegetarian options being really poor. We eat out a lot and would drive straight past our local to go elsewhere. Having heard lots of positive reviews from friends in the village, we booked a table. Food was beautifully presented, big portions, and really was delicious (brownie was to die for!) The welcome was really friendly, and the young lad that looked after us couldn’t have been more attentive. A real asset to the Queens Head! Will definitely be eating here again.

Very good quality food and service at a fair price. I had the suet pudding stuffed full of melting shin of beef and served with wonderfully fresh vegetables, red cabbage, carrots ,kale and broccoli. My husband had delicious sausages, mustard mash and ,again, lovely fresh greens. Sadly we were too full to sample the deserts, all of which sounded tempting. It is a warm well furnished environment with a roaring fire which was equally matched by the warmth of the welcome from Leah who manages the establishment with exactly the right balance of friendliness and professionalism. We will return , next time much more hungry!

If you want a great village pub with a great village atmosphere then you dont need to look further than the Queens Head, was so friendly with great food and fab staff. The Sunday roast was well cooked and plenty of it. The roast potatoes were crispy as was the huge yorkshire pudding. The beef, chicken and pork belly were all equally tasty and not over cooked, the side of cauliflower cheese was heavenly. It was great to meet a chef who actively asked for feedback and was proud of his food! Great job Scot. Loved the popcorn cockles. A place not to be missed!

The lads behind bar are not trained put our drinks through wrong so check you receipts. Food was nice though and restaurant staff friendly . Very clicky atmosphere. Had a really enjoyable evening here. We were celebrating an 8th birthday with two children and ten adults. We pre ordered each course as there were twelve of us. The food arrived pretty much together, just a slight delay with the children's meals and all the meals were declared as delicious, with mostly empty plates. I had the Queens burger which was one of the best I've had. The sticky toffee pudding was substantial and scrumptious. The staff were friendly and attentive checking that everything was ok but not trying to hurry us, just right. There was only Peroni Libra available as a non alcoholic beer, so I had a diet coke instead. Also a choice of custard with the desserts would have been nice, otherwise really good and would like to return.

I had a burger. It was a good choice. Not crazy big, but easily big enough. It's a home made burger, and very tasty too. Lovely big chips, and loads of pickles, onion jam etc. My kids had the children's version. I asked if they could add bacon & cheese to match mine (they're hungry boys!), and they kindly did so. Theirs came with skinny fries. The food was every bit as good as the adult meals. No second best for kids here. The boys were really impressed, and ate the lot (well, apart from a few leaves). My wife went for a Thai green curry. Lovely chicken, well presented. That left room for a gorgeous New York cheesecake. We popped in one Sunday a couple of weeks back before christmas for a drink whilst passing on our way back home to Reedham. Warm, friendly bar staff and nice atmosphere it seemed. The only thing that let it down were 3 what seemed like 'adults' in there that were so childish it dampened the atmosphere. Taking piss out of everyone that came in through the door or left, hysterical laughing and mimicking people. One of the guys pointing to young girl that came in making incredible rude and in appropriate gestures to his mate. Just seemed very childish and ruined the atmosphere for me.

Our favourite is a Friday when you get free dessert for each main meal. There is a varied menu and every meal we've ever had has been perfect. On Sundays they offer roast dinners (not carvery) with locally sourced meats. The portions are very generous and we've been unable to find another pub offering a Sunday roast of the same quality and value. We had the Sunday roast and it was delicious and great value, good selection of ales including local ones. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We have also tried the pizza night and fish and chips night as takeaways and they were also very tasty, I noticed they source most of their food locally. Overall a lovely village pub and a hidden gem!

This has become my go to pub in Wymondham. Staff are excellent, helpful, cheerful and welcoming. Beer is good and the food is great. I recommend this place.

Naturally quiet on a Tuesday night in November but relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and solid classic rock playlist! Enjoyed my Moving Mountains vegan burger ... with, umm, Stilton because I'm not a vegan ... 😋

We were staying up the road but decided to try The Bell for a change. The pub is a lovely old building with an extension on the rear. A big open fire gives it a lovely feel. The welcome was warm and the food superb especially the lasagne. The prices are really good - so many choices for around £10. We couldn't have been happier so came back the following evening and were served up the same experience Next time we're back in the area we will certainly be back.

A Roasting Good Time This little pub is a hidden gem. Their roast dinner is the stuff of legends. The meat is cooked to perfection, the veggies are spot on, and the Yorkshire pudding is fluffy and golden. The gravy? Divine. If you're a fan of a good roast, this is the place to be.
