The best restaurants in East of England

After receiving confirmation of our booking which was made days in advance we took a taxi on a cold wet evening to the restaurant only to find it closed. We called later and were told that the owner had decided not to open until later in the month. His staff had turned up and been notified about an hour before opening time. What a way to run a business.

all time favourite place to eat out in stortford. the staff are incredibly friendly and the layout and atmosphere are perfectly charming. every single time ive dined here (many by this point) i’ve been overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of food!

Stopped off for a Sunday dinner and we were not let down. Roasts are terrific. Meat was well cooked and tasty with a nice variety of veg and huge Yorkie. Elite and her staff were attentive. We will Certainly be visiting again.

Awful customer service..! Missing item after ordering online for delivery, restaurant refused to send out or refund as it’s not their driver. So I have to pay for the missing food!! That’s not how to run a business!

Best fish and chips ever and on a sunny day feels like you're on holiday. in terms of quality and taste this place smashed the others out of the water. Never had 1 bad meal and every meal does not get old at brunos. Superb fish and chips. Staff are lovely too.

Food was tasty particularly cauliflower popcorn but bar service was painful. Wasn't that busy but had to wait a long time, gin served in small glass with no room for a mixer so had to ask for it to be changed plus ask for ice etc, understand it is more of a real ale place but need to cater for all

Beautiful place, all good was completely fresh. The staff was so polite and accommodating, there was wheelchair access and all the help I needed. Can not emphasis enough how lovely the staff was.

New driving bays all fitted with toptracer screens. Great value for money

Just stopped off at start of long journey so getting breakfast. Lovely atmosphere, very welcoming and warm. We both had english breakfast, cooked fresh with nice ingredients and lots of choice on extras if wanted. Great start to day - this one's going on the tick list for when we return to Norfolk. Nice parking area at back as we are towing a small caravan. Thank you!
