Only stopped for a tea and a P, and was most pleased by the service (of the tea). Will happily revisit.

Nice place with nice people working there. But the language barrier was there. At least they were friendly

My daughter and her school class recently had a visit to the cafe and loved it. It's so appreciated so I just wanted to thank you. ☺️

Great place to snack on your own, or there is always some staff member willing to chat. The menu price is cheap, the products good.

This place is a community café run by some very nice people. If you want a friendly natter with some of the staff (who are volunteers) they will give you a cuppa and a chat with you. You can buy stuff from the cake shop next door and sit in this place and eat it (as long as you buy a drink or something else) which I think is a great idea- the only downside of this café is the food and drink I ordered soup and a bread roll and to my surprise they went to the kitchen cupboard and got out a cuppa-soup which I found to watery but most people just come here for the community and just a chat and a cup of tea!

I live round the corner and work from home part of the week so visit the cafe regularly for a coffee and toasted tea cake. The cafe was set up as a community project by local churches as this area of Ipswich has a higher than average number of older people and loneliness is a big problem in the UK amongst this age group. The cafe sometimes has a craft group that meet there as well. Coffee (freshly made) and toasted teacake is £2.40. The cafe is run by volunteers so it is open different times on different days which can be a bit difficult to remember. It seems to be open all day on Tuesdays and Fridays (closing at 4pm) and mornings only the other days. It is open on Saturday (but not all day) and closed in Sunday.

Nice little tea/coffee shop. Does not really cater for snacks but you can pop next door to the baker's to purchase things to eat in the café.

A non-food cafe with nice drinks and a welcoming atmosphere. No problem to bring food in and eat it, just they can't sell it so the bakery next door is good to match to tea or coffee and a chat.

I cannot rate this Cafe highly enough. As a young mum of a 7 week old and a nearly 2 year old I always worry about going out to public places incase of any tantrum or people staring whilst my toddler doesn't want to stay sat on his chair. However coming here with a friend we were all welcomed happily and my son was able to go and play with the toys provided, he explored the cafe and we weren't stared at or frowned upon when he had the odd scream. The couple were lovely friendly and chatty and spoke about their own children and how they've been through all of the tantrums etc. They made me feel so comfortable and not on edge. I would highly reccomend this Cafe to everyone and especially mum's who do worry about taking their children somewhere incase they are faced with a tantrum scene. I will definitly be coming back. Thankyou again so much from one grateful mummy whose morning you made so much easier.

I’ve been meaning to visit here for a while now, as always hear good things & it’s always busy when I walk past. I wasn’t disappointed! Mu friend and I visited on a Sunday morning in November, around 11.30. Luckily we got the last available table! Which was outside, with a lovely view. It was a warm morning, but there were blankets just incase. I went for Smoked salmon Pan De Cristal & added a poached egg. Really generous portion size and a generous amount of tasty salmon, fresh rocket etc. I really liked the dill oil on my bread, absolutely lovely! 😋 To drink I had a tea ☕️ (Pictured) My friend had Chicken Pan De Cristal and a smoothie. I’ve added a photo. Really nice atmosphere, you’re not rushed at all. Friendly staff, especially the owner, who has a great sense of humour. He made me laugh when he told my Spanish friend how to order 😊 An absolute Gem! I can see why it’s always packed! See you again soon 😊

Our first time here. Excellent food and good wine list. Only had Sunday lunch but couldn’t fault the beef short ribs and sea bass dishes. Service could have been better had to prompt the waitress for my wine order, she was pleasant but a bit absent perhaps a late night the night before. Friendly team overall but a bit off putting having the fires lit and maintained whilst we were sat close by. Perhaps get the restaurant ready before guests arrive. Overall the food made up for minor shortcomings so would definitely recommend and will revisit.
