Four of us went to this cafe on 23/03/24.food was lovely, at little pricey, can't fault the service apart from one man making coffee kept looking at us and laughing and said something to the girl that's serving and she laughed and he went into the kitchen and said something and a young man came out and looked at us and laughed.i nearly had a go at them.how dare they behave to customers like that.i thought they would need customers whoever you are.not happy customers.

Fine cafe handy for bus station (Old Cattle Market) & town centre.

Popped in spontaneously as myself and my partner were hungry. Small, cosy place with a decent menu and not outlandishly priced. Busy but tables were available (our visit was during the week). Older gentleman on site was very attentive, but not pushy; we took some time to decide on what we wanted to order. Opted for a toasty each and they charged no more than the chained coffee shops ask for, so I don’t feel ripped off. Would return if that sort of food is what I’m after, but I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way.

While in town to pick my new glasses I decided to search for ‘Best Breakfast in Ipswich’ and Blends was the 1st name that popped up Really lovely Breakfast with a excellent cup of coffee… good quality produce used rather than the cheap ‘cash and carry style’ sausages & bacon that most seem to use these days My only tiny complaint would be I like my bacon abit more well done but that is a personal preference for myself A+ would definitely recommend to other people

After finding this superb tucked away eatery we just cant help coming back... The omelettes are definitely the Chefs speciality. Always succulent and moist with plenty of cheese and ham filling and you never want to finish the last bite. Also the sausages they serve are the best in Ipswich and you must try the "posh" bread which is only supplied to them. The flat white coffees served put Costas and Starbucks to shame.. always full and piping hot. The owners recognise repeat customers and you are made to feel most welcome and the service cant be faulted.

Best cafe we have been in for a long long time. Beautifully clean and warm and friendly .proper tea pots and real tea . Great prices as well ,what more could you want.😊

A very pleasing and unexpected find on a very sad, rundown and dirty town centre street. A little oasis, in fact. Two salad lunches were really excellent - fresh, tasty ingredients and nicely presented. Two pots of leaf tea were equally good. And the staff were all friendly, attentive and quick. The interior was spotlessly clean and very easy on the eye. A very nice little cafe.

We often visit Blends for breakfast and now on Saturdays also for brunch/lunch. We have visited at least once a week for breakfast since before the COVID pandemic. I can honestly say that we have NEVER had a bad meal and are more than a little surprised by some negative reports on TripAdvisor. We particularly like the smoked salmon breakfast and also the omelettes which are vastly superior to where we used to eat. You can always tell that the food is good as we often see a number of regulars visiting when we do. Congratulations to all the team for their ongoing help and support of our little haven of peace and tranquillity.

Hi go to blends every time we go to Ipswich the vegetation omelette is the best with peppers courgettes and onions and a touch of garlic. This is better than any other I've had even on cruises Also the coffee is great .

As much as the coffee was absolutely delicious. The omelette I had was like a savoury sponge cake and not omelette like at all. I feel that perhaps this cafe should just do the basics of a coffee shop, cakes/scones such like. However I definitely would not advise on having an omelette. It was very dry, fluffy and not moist at all. This is the strangest omelette I’ve ever ate. My partner is a chef and also couldn’t quite understand what it was. Also food service was very slow. We waited a long time for our food. However clean, tidy and friendly staff with exceptional coffee.

Stopped by for a light lunch. Service was good as we sat outside. Very enjoyable rest and recuperation.

Very poor food, undercooked and over priced. We wanted to support a small independent and so visited here for breakfast however, we were very disappointed.. there was no effort in the food, poor quality, very small portions it was a joke and food was not properly cooked. Clearly they are trying to cut costs and as a result they have lost our custom. I will not be going back based on this experience and came away feeling I had wasted my hard earned money.. need to up their game or I can’t see people returning.

Olympic breakfast was more like paralympic breakfast. Very small and unsatisfactory. When you compare the prices of other establishments such as The last anchor / Isaacs which include a hash brown and black pudding for the same price range I don't think it's comparable. I can't fault service but maybe the tables could be updated

Ordered sausage and egg sandwich, came with one sausage cut in to thin pieces, so thin u couldn’t taste the sausage, over priced. Disappointed this is my first visit after hearing good review but unfortunately will be my last visit

My husband and I had breakfast here yesterday. The welcome from the staff was great. Our order was taken promptly and the food arrived promptly too, lovely touch of using teapots (had decaf tea which was a bonus). The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

Walk in today they were two people working not even say hello or anything if I want to table so I walk out!

Favourite cafe to visit when in town. Good selection to choose from, friendly staff. Have never had reason to complain about food. Would definitely recommend 🙂

Very accommodating, we needed a table for 5. Very quickly they moved a table to give us 5 places and this was on a very busy Saturday. Drinks and meals delivered promptly. Meals were cooked to order. So lovely and hot. 4 of us had small all day breakfast, toast included in price. The other had a triple sandwich which came with salad, crisps and coleslaw. All presented well. Would highly recommend.

This place is excellent I take my family here regularly and we have never been disappointed with the service or food there's a great atmosphere no chavs except me.

Only went in because the owner (i think) waved as we looked inside, very hospitable, friendly and welcoming. Server was very interactive, happy to chat. Great choice of Coffee and Teas. I ordered an English breakfast, served quickly, nicely presented, beautifully cooked and a large Cappucino, hot, foamy and very nice blend. Jools had a fruit tea and tea bun, toasted and fresh. Just what the doctor ordered, simple food, superbly executed.

Have had food and drink here before, but disappointed with yesterdays visit 20/02/2023. Found prices high for small portions received. Ordered a mushroom omelette which came without mushrooms, no apology offered. Will not be using again.

Visited blends this afternoon and had a lovely warm and friendly experience. I ordered a salmon salad and it was very fresh and a decent portion size, dressing was on the side which was perfect for me. Staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. I also visited the toilet while I was there and have to say they were spotless. All in all a lovely relaxing lunch, thank you.

Delicious. I had the mini English breakfast and my partner had a sausage baguette. When they arrived it looked quite small, however the quality of the food was excellent and it was cooked very well. The tea which came in a pot and not a mug (👍🏻) and the coffee were also good. And of course it was all enough and we left feeling full and satisfied. Great value for money and was simply delicious! Will be returning and would highly recommend.

We have gone to Blends since 2007 if not earlier. It has always had a high standard of service, comfort, friendliness and cuisine. I was rather saddened to note that their bacon and egg baguettes have been taken off the menu (they used a sweet cured Back Bacon to die for). "Their scrambled egg is as close to perfection as is possible. We took our son-in-law from Oxford in on Friday. He is still extolling it's qualities today

One of the best independent cafes in town.

We had breakfast outside. We have not needed to step inside to place an order. Instantly we have received menus. As quick we had what we ordered too. Which was delicious. Crispy baguette, really tasty latte. Staff have pulled umbrella and turned on heating for us too. Lovely that they thought about that. Competitive prices.

I can't believe I didn't come across this cafe till this year.. I'm so thankful. The food is delicious and neatly presently. Flavours put together are lovely-they adjust and meet your dietary requirement without a hassle. The staff are highly skilled in customer service.. Very well dressed. And ate thoughtful. My child is always made welcome. We are always acknowledged at the start and the end. Highly recommended this cafe in town.. Been there 3 times already on less than few months. Such a lively treat. Visiting family in Ipswich. We're from Birmingham. Looking for somewhere to have breakfast and stumbled across blends cafe. Spotlessly clean cafe and facilities. Full English Breakfast well presented, hot and best cup of tea had since leaving Brum. Staff very friendly and professional.

I love this place, been coming for years. Had a family breakfast just now for my daughter before going to uni and the owner accommodated our table of five outside. The food was amazing as always and the service is excellent. We recommend the oatcakes and the waffles

I am a regular at Blends, but I have run out of choice to eat. I used to eat breakfast, but microwaved bacon and boiled mushrooms is not a fry up. 30p extra to cook bacon. Tried the omelettes, but always overcooked and almost like cardboard. The food used to be acceptable, but either it is a new cook or the old one has lost interest in quality control. Sorry, but it is not value for money. I hope the owners can bring it back.

We visited Blends yesterday for a light lunch, was not sure what to expect after cafes re opened after lockdown but it was a pleasant experience and everything was very clean etc. Our waitress had proper PPE on as did the servers behind the counter. The food was really nice and fresh , and well presented. We had a prawn mayo sandwich and jacket potato with chicken & pesto. Lovely little cafe , would recommend and will definitely come back

This is a nice little cafe in the centre of Ipswich with friendly service and plenty of sandwiches, toasties, jackets etc to choose from. Quality was good.
