Great naan but roti dry lamb curry looked like a puréed sauce and meat wasn’t tender . I can’t recommend but peshwari naan was amazing

I always go here after trying a good few in the area. 5 years plus and never had a bad meal. I have the SS store on my phone for those journeys home and easy pick up. Always knows my name before I order and makes a delicious takeaway every time.

Has to be one of the best Indian takeaways in Luton (my opinion) We have tried a variety of dishes from here and never been disappointed.

Food was spot on and delivered in only half hr . Very polite delivery driver and the food was hot when it arrived . Couldn't fault a thing Will definitely be using the surma again.

Have been getting takeaways from here since 2009 and have never been disappointed. Prices are sensible, the food is very good and the portions are of a good size.

I do eat from here quite frequently, as I live locally. I’m quite blessed, as Chicken George is local too, and was voted takeaway of the year last year, and this year, Stopsley Surma was voted Indian of the year Nationally... I really recommend the Chicken Bahar Silasala - amazing dish with so many different flavours that break through - just brilliant. Can’t recommend it enough.

We ordered a takeaway tonight and my husband had the Bahar chicken silisala which was excellent. However, I ordered a korma and it was overly sweet with way too much coconut. I was hoping for something more creamy. Need to work on their creamy dishes. Shame as the side dishes and cheese Naan were very good.

We ordered this takeaway on a Saturday night so we expected a long wait but it only took about a half hour, which was great. Me and my boyfriend ordered a single person menu each but both asked to swap the main into something else, which wasn’t a problem. The food itself was super nice and you get a lot for your money. Highly recommend!

For some reason the onion bhajis were almost inedible - overdry and wrong. Almost like there were at least a day old. Also the poppadoms tasted like there was something wrong with the oil. Not up to their usual standard at all. If this had been in a restaurant they would have gone back. Seems odd and disappointed on this occasion with these little, hopefully, temporary aberrations.

The tikka masala sauce was incredibly sweet. Never been like that before. Frankly, it was inedible and most of it went in the bin.

Food was OK. Bahar Chicken Silasala tasted a bit weird. Biriyani was very bland & dry. Wouldn't other these again. Arrived about 7 minutes after delivery time. I'm used to other places being about 5-10 mins early.

Super fast delivery and great tasting food. Definitely my first choice restaurant for Indian food in Luton.

Used Just Eat to order food from Surma. It arrived 1 hour and 15 minutes early and what did arrive was of a poor quality, The Lamb in my meal was stringy and tough and our friends who ordered a Biryani were were disappointed with the taste and quality of the curry sauce that came with it, in all a crashing disappointment. We shall not be using them again!

it was 3rd time we have ordered from here. Food is very tasty and portions are big. The only problem I've had this time was that we got Chicken Saag instead of what we've ordered. I hope someone who has received our meal enjoyed it 🙂

I have lived in Stopsley for ever, and have only just started using the Surma. Having used numerous others, this is now my go to Take Away. The Food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. They have an award winning Dish, which I always think is a bit of a hoax, but the bahar chicken silasala, is superb. I would recommend to all, and, of course the Stopsley Surma.

egg paratha was nice but plain paratha was very dry and of no substance which was a shame

We love this takeaway. It is not a restaurant but takeaway only. We have been customers for years and the food is always outstanding. The food is fresh and not swimming in grease like some Indian takeaways are. Would highly recommend you give this place a go.

To be honest, I've been thinking about how good my curry was all day. I actually feel a little emotional about it. We've spent about a year trying different places and it never quite ticking all the right boxes. This did just that; excellent flavour, quick service, competitive price and generous portions. Our quest is now over and we now know where to order from whenever we fancy a take away. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to have a little cry while I think about how beautiful my vegetable dhansak was.

We had friends around and decided to order a takeaway and used Surma for the first time. We ordered online, which was easy and simple. We were given an estimated time for delivery. The food arrived 20 minutes early, which was great. The food was plentiful, with good sized portions and was hot and tasty. It was exactly what we ordered and we even had a complimentary dish. Totally recommend the experience and we will use them again

Great service as they delivered 20 mins early however, sadly, the food was very tasteless. We ordered a Madras and just tasted like spicytomato puree. The nan wasn't very nice either and the popadoms tasted like they were fried in a horrible tasting oil. Maybe it's just the Madras that isn't very nice. Haven't had any other curries from there.

Delivery 30 minutes late driving time from restaurant to home address is 10 minutes I had to call restaurant twice to find out where order was. Driver was not apologetic in the least

After spending just under £40 for myself and my partner we received our food on time (hence the 2 stars rated). However, the food that arrived was not flavoursome at all. This is the first time we ordered from there, but it was disappointing. From the too salty popadoms, the salty and tough/chewy tandoori prawns (£4.33 each for 3 prawns!!!!!!), bland garlic rice, which tasted old/dry and microwaved and bland saag paneer. My partner's Keema naan was bland and had all meat on only one side of the naan the rest was just bread! Very disappointed at the unauthentic food after being recommended to try this place by a friend. I wouldn't recommend this place and I won't be wasting my money here again! I hate wasting food, but this is one that I can't bring myself to eat, and it will be going in the bin.

I ordered my first takeaway based on trip advisor's ratings. On delivery my main meal of chicken tikka masala was missing and replaced with a potato based meal. I phoned to let them know and was told the chicken tikka would be sent asap. At the point of delivery I received a call to say I hadn't ordered it but I could have it FOC on opening I received Chicken Tikka only which I had never ordered.

The food is absolute exquisite, the best curries I've had in a while. I recently tried the prawn biryani and I would recommend it to everyone! My friend recommended this place and I am so happy that I took her advice and ordered from here.
