The best restaurants in East of England

Popped to Le Bouchon for our 20th wedding anniversary dinner yesterday. We have eaten here many times before and have always found it to be very good but last night’s meal (7 course tasting menu) was EXCEPTIONAL with each course being truly excellent! My husband is a retired chef (was a very good one) so naturally he is a bit of a foodie critic and can be particular! We both agree it was one of the best meals of our lives and we eat out a lot, lol!!! What a treat and on such a wonderful occasion! Thanks team, wonderful evening, food and service x

The staff truly elevated the experience. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. It felt like they really cared about every guest having a great time. This place is a total win. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!

Stayed for a couple of nights in a very clean & spacious dog friendly room. Met friends for Sunday lunch, & enjoyed one of the best 3-course meals ever. Roast beef was spot on, as was the very boozy tiramisu afterwards. Breakfast both mornings was also very good, with very fresh orange juice, omelettes & full English. All the staff were very friendly, & made such a fuss of our border collie. A lovely short break & highly recommended.

Had dinner two nights running. The food was lovely and a good range of choices. Staff and service was excellent, never had to wait for any of the food and it was delicious. Definitely recommend.

2nd order from here over the course of a few weeks and sadly both times I've been a little disappointed with the food, which hasn't matched up to what I've received from local alternatives. I've tried the balti and the dansak, both I found to be quite bland and the lamb a bit tough. seems to be ok for others judging by the reviews but I will probably avoid in future.

Had the cheek to come back asking for £5 tip even though they had received £150 in tips across the two tables. Had a drink after and stood at the bar and waited for a drink to be made and they add service charge onto drinks I am not sure why. Very cheeky be aware!!

Gonna miss this great little sushi takeaway when I move away from Cambridge, the food is always delicious and the staff are so friendly. Def recommend for your sushi fix!

Lovely place to have a Spanish beach feeling..

Very fast, precise and friendly service. The location is clean and tidy, but I wasn't impressed, a bit anonymous... The idea of ​​the tapas is interesting, the dishes in general were all good, however: the sweet peppers were a very small portion, and had a similar cost to other tapas, whose portions were larger. In the plate of serrano cheeses and jamon, only 2 slices of serrano, also cold from the fridge. Some diners took the paella and didn't find it excellent... Good but nothing special. Other tapas were good though. In short, ups and downs on food. Having not tried many other places in the area, I don't know whether to honestly recommend it. However, I can tell you that it was recommended to me by those who often go to Stevenage...

I love turkish food but the doner meat was amazing. Very flavourful and delicious. The lamacun was also excellent. The service was warm and friendly. I hope to visit once again
