The best restaurants in East of England

I don't know what took me so long to try this delightful cafe. I'd heard great things & it really was good. Food was fresh, presented wonderfully & was delicious. Coffee was amazing too. I'll definitely be back!

First visit and absolutely loved it, will be back! Friendly helpful staff. Fast service and food turn around. Very reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere in the table area.

What a great place, great staff and fabulous food.

Quite possibly the worst meal we’ve ever had. Sloppy Paella with lumps of fat, not beef. Steak was a lump of fat. Seabass was a tiny piece of fish covered in some cheap sauce. Calamari was awful. Drinks and service were fine. Will never be returning and recommend everyone to steer clear.

Post Norfolk Marathon we were looking for a Sunday roast and Gibsons were able to seat 8 of us having called ahead that morning. The food was delicious, plentiful and all dietary requests accommodated. We didn’t stay for desserts but they also sounded great. There was a counter with some cakes and seems to be a cafe too. Highly recommend…

This really is a hidden gem 💎 We were looking for something a little different to the normal, and this really did hit the spot. Very friendly atmosphere, spotlessly clean, and the food wow 👌 I had the Octopus for mains, and for a moment, I forgot that I was in the UK. The flavours 😃 Cheesecake for dessert gave that sweet tooth exactly what was needed. The portion size is very good. I will definitely be making this place a regular visit to work my way through the variety on the menu. Spoilt for choice is an understatement Sadly, there were no photos. I was far too interested in eating

The food arrived late. They recently changed the estimated delivery time—what started as 26 minutes turned into a 90-minute wait.

Don’t believe the haters. Haven’t been here in a while so was a little cautious with the recent reviews. Anyway turns out they do the most amazing cod and the batter was super crispy. Great chips too and just the way they should be - chunky and fluffy. Will be back again….

Visito Trockel, Ulmann & Freunde con frecuencia durante las pausas para el almuerzo en el trabajo, y siempre he encontrado la comida allí para ser delicioso, caliente y lleno, todo a un precio razonable para la zona. As always Ali and his team prepared and delivered fantastic food. We have been using Bellwaris since they opened many years ago being one of their first customers. The food is always tasty good value for money and piping hot. Thank you Laura

Atmospheric pub serving good food

NOW PERMANENTLY CLOSED :-( The Plough at Rede is one of Suffolks best kept secrets. A thatched pub with oak beams, an open fire, all tucked away in the tiny hamlet of Rede. Stunning location, fabulous atmosphere with a warm welcome and the best food for miles around. Brian and Joyce have been running the Plough for over 30 years with customers returning time and time again. Ide give 100 stars if I could.

Go in hungry, come out very full. Today's menu included home made steak n ale pie. The pie nearly fills the plate, my guests and I were taken aback at this magnificent 'special', served with seasonal veg and gravy. Grants is probably the most consistently good restaurant in town. Try it...
