Me and my gf are new to Sawbridgeworth and when we decided to get a curry we came across Belwaris and we won’t be going anywhere else. We’ve tasted different curries and enjoyed every single one. Tasty food, fast delivery AND they have a free side when you spend £30 too which is a steal. Highly recommend!

I recently tried the Chicken Tikka Biryani at Bellwaris , and it was amazing! The biryani was perfectly spiced with tender, flavorful chicken tikka. The portion was generous, and the raita added a great touch. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Highly recommend this place for a delicious biryani experience!

I can't fault Ali and the team. Last night my car broke down and had to leave it in the car park opposite the takeaway whilst we awaited to be picked up (we live in Norfolk). Late last night with my wife feeling unwell, I went to ask if it was possible for her to have a glass of water and explained what had happened. Despite them about to close, Ali made me bring her in where it was warm and they made us food and a warm drink whilst we waited for our family to arrive. I can't thank you all enough for your kindness and compassion in a time of stress. We have made friends for life and look forward to repaying their generosity and compassion. Jordan and Laura

First time getting a delivery, food was piping hot and very tasty. Husband opted for a chilli lamb mossala and it was full of chillies! We will definitely be ordering again.

The best Indian I’ve had! The food is excellent I’ve tried many different chicken dishes and side orders, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. We normally get korma, butter chicken and tikka masala as we can’t choose a favourite as they all taste so great. I’ve moved houses over 10times and always try all Indians in my area and I’ve not had one this high quality before. I travel from Harlow which is a 24min round trip journey just to come here! Plus they do a collection deal. I’ve tried all Indians in Harlow and there awful or inconsistent if you can drive or they do delivery now in Harlow I’d highly recommend you won’t be disappointed

First time ordering from Belwaris tonight (new years eve) after a recommendation. I ordered online for collection and selected a time slot. The menu has a good detailed descriptions of each dish. I picked up at my selected time slot. The food was ready straight away and the gentlemen that served me was nice and polite. By the time I got home 10 minutes later the food was still nice and hot. All the dishes we had were delicious, fresh and nicely presented. I had the Lamb xaccuti, the lamb was beautifully tender and melted in the mouth. The rest of my family were very happy with their food also. Will 100% be returning and would definitely recommend 10/10 Thank you

This Indian takeaway is really excellent. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The food was delicious and there was plenty of choice. The portion sizes were just about right for me. I would certainly order from them again.

Great Indian meals from Bellwaris, love the samosas, biryanis, Dhansak, tandoori chicken and tikkas. We have been using Bellwaris for over 10 years. Great delivery and customer service.

The biryani was tasty & enjoyable with plenty of chopped king prawns but the accompanying vegetable curry was almost non existent. Added to that the poppadums were lacking crispness. Not Bellwaris at their best.

Dissapointed with last nights takeaway. We have been using this indian for around 10 years but tonight, the food arrived luke warm and greasy. The poppadoms were stale. Very dissapointed overall. May re consider another takeaway now

The friendliest team and the most delicious food, we will miss it massively when we move from Sawbo in the next few months. Upon reading the recent 2 star review from somebody who has never eaten there food (amongst a steady and thoroughly deserved 5 stars!), I wanted to take some time to further iterate the quality of Bellwaris. Hands down the best Indian (restaurant or takeaway) me and my partner have experienced, these guys really do deserve their plaudits, and the food speaks for itself. Always piping hot, full of flavour and generous portion sizes. If you haven’t tried yet, or have been thinking about giving them a go - do it! You won’t be disappointed. I had a takeout last Sunday. I tried their chicken chetinad it was full of aroma and tasted delicious. They have a great selection of dishes to choose from. Next time I'll definitely try their signature dish Bellwaris. Their customer service was brilliant. I highly recommend this hidden gem in Sawbridgeworth.

Got a menu posted and always on the look out for a decent takeway, it looked a really nice selection too. I always check new places to see food hygiene rating, sadly this gets a 3. Will give it a miss - it's really not hard to get a 5.

Lovely flavoursome food. Good portions. Would recommend. We were moored on the visitor moorings close by so very easy to get to.

The chicken tikka is so succulent it’s not dry, it’s always juicy even in a curry love all the food at bellwaris. Always friendly service would never go anywhere else anymore. Highly recommended!

i have tried most of the Indian take aways and restaurants in a large area of where i live .Bellwares finest Indian takeaway in the Maltings. Sawbridgeworth. is by far the best. The food melts in your mouth and isn't greasy. So tasty different dishes. the price is excellent.the staff are very helpful too.

I have lived in Sawbridgeworth for 10 years and this is my only go to Indian. I have never encountered any issues with the food or service from Bellwaris. It’s easy to order online and collect. Best curry in the area, we are lucky to have this as a local option in Sawbridgeworth. Fresh, great flavour, and nice selection of dishes. We’ve never been disappointed by any of the chicken or lamb dishes, and the peshwari naan is very nice. Veggie sides also excellent. Prices are reasonable and the food is always prepared quickly.

Have ordered from Bellwaris many times in recent years and have never had any issues. The food is always perfectly cooked and very clean. Our favourite go to is the butter chicken!

We recently moved to the area and thought we would try the restaurant again. The last time we had a takeaway was way back in 2016 and it was delicious then. The website is easy to navigate and the choice of dishes is vast, so there'll always be something for someone. I would recommend the chicken tikka koray, chicken tikka (starter) and the chicken pathia add a couple of poppadoms and you're away!

Ali was awesome, I described what I wanted and he delivered an amazing a beautiful on-the-bone tandoori chicken based chicken dish with bay, curry leaves and fresh coriander with a kick of fresh chilli in an amazing gravy. Delicious and high quality food

We started to use this Indian takeaway a lot during the COVID lockdown period and have continued to do so. The ordering system online is easy to use and the food is delicious and very tasty, how an Indian takeaway should be, with good quality ingredients used. The staff re also very friendly helpful and efficient too. Recently after ordering earlier in the day for the evening we ended up in A&E due to an accident and they refunded the money to us straight away, thanks guys.

This place has the most amazing Indian food! The owner and staff are so kind and friendly and the curries were absolutely delicious! we ordered the vindaloo and chicken curry with pilau rice and there was huge juicy pieces of chicken as well as a great depth of flavour and spice, 10/10 would highly recommend!

This meal was unbelievable! I’m so fussy with my choice of Indian takeaways but had the menu come through our door so thought we would try it. We was not disappointed…..I had the Garlic Rajasthani that was the best Indian dish I have ever had. I highly recommend the food is fresh, hot and so flavoursome.

Excellent takeaway. If yr local they deliver, which is great. Food is always good, preferable to most restaurants. Not bright red…. Which is always a plus. I’ve been using them for years, and recommend them all the time.
