The best restaurants in Gedling East Midlands

This is such a lovely homely pub. Very family and dog friendly, but also a lovely relaxed atmosphere for date night. Me and my husband visited for tea with our 7 year old son last week. We had two steaks and a children's bbq chicken burger. The food was delicious, chips so crispy but fluffy inside, and steaks cooked perfectly as requested. There is a dog menu too, if you want to include your pup. Water bowls available and a station to buy dog treats from. We love coming here in the summer too as there's a park in the attached woods for kids to play on and a lovely patio seating area with a big green for the kids to have a play on. Would definitely recommend.

Late lunch. Given the fact it was Friday and we hadn’t booked the staff were very accommodating. Brilliant staff. The venue has been visited before, for some reason the atmosphere is so inviting that it’s just a welcoming location that has an uncanny knack of making you feel at home and welcome. The facilities for food were brilliant with enough covers to be busy with enough space not to feel overwhelmed or claustrophobic. Fresh ingredients with quality salad dressing. Feels like visiting family

Poor service: we were with a large group, but I had finished my main course before my husband(sat next to me me) had been served his and the rest of our party had been served, completed and left the table before we had been served our dessert. Poor food: had roast beef dinner- meat was tough, roast potatoes were so hard I could not cut them. Stuffing was like pieces of rock Savoy cabbage was lovely! I tried to discuss my issues but was dismissed and management chose not to speak to me. No acknowledgment of mistakes, no acceptance of errors. Prepaid so they didn’t care Waiters/waitresses were lovely, friendly and professional

My friend and I visit this place about once a fortnight. It has been taken over by new owners/management recently, and the menu has changed - cooked breakfasts are now served until noon (breakfasts weren't served at all before). No main meals now (they used to serve chilli con carne, shepherd's pie, pie and chips, etc). I had a (tiny) jacket potato for £5. A slice of cake is now £4.25 a slice!! The cakes aren't even fresh or baked on the premises. We're going to go to Sprinters instead in future.

Gone downhill massively . Make it look a decent size meal by it being 90% salad . What happened chao chao

Terrible customer service. Brusque and rude. We're given our drinks without our dessert and no mention of it, so I asked. Unkind manner in response. Have been to this place before but not for over a year. Been to cheesecake shop for almost 20 years. Was definitely cheated by the slither of dessert given. No desire to go back there again. My money is just as good as anyone else's - I'll spend it elsewhere.

Old dough, no tomato sauce on base, over-cooked pizza and burnt dessert!! Rang to complain, was told they would call me back but no response. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SHOP!! Pls see images of food as proof!

Solo puedo dar un 1 estrella, ya que fui a este pub a tomar una pinta y al llegar, el personal se paró alrededor del bar, no como una sonrisa, no me sentí bienvenido en absoluto. Mi pinta de munkey azul era tan plana que podía beberla, el personal dijo que estaba destinado a ser así, ya que una licitación de bar que nunca había visto era tan plana en mi vida, el personal también estaba constantemente en la mesa, incluso cuando fui al departamento y afuera, lo único bueno de la visita fue el rollo de salchicha, desafortunadamente debido a esta visita no regresaré

Best kebab house in Northampton, staff are always happy and friendly and make you feel welcome when you visit. I would recommend this place to anyone.

WOW, couldn’t be happier with our Sunday lunch to celebrate our engagement with our families. The team set up a beautiful table, complete with a banner, table decorations and flowers and threw in two bottles of complimentary wine - absolutely blown away by this service and never had anything like it before. Completely unprompted and honestly absolutely made my day - thank you. Service was amazing as always and the food was incredible- massive portions full of delicious flavour. Some of my family had travelled 1.5 hours and were super impressed! The team were attentive throughout and happy to help with cutting up the cake that we brought along which was so helpful. They even didn’t charge us for one dish that seemed to have been missed off the order - on reflection, I think this was our fault rather than the server but no time was wasted in offering this for no cost, which was definitely not warranted but really appreciated. I hope you enjoy the cake guys and thank you again for such an amazing time. We’ll be back very soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good food and coffee; great value-for-money; open when you need it. Nice, clean place to relax and charge your batteries. Great asset to the community and visitors alike.

Had a take away from here and it was really disappointing It firstly said it would take 30 minutes to arrive but it was way over an hour. Ordered the platter starter and some of the specified items were missing The calamari was over cooked and not nice at all The Taramasalata was missing-probably still in the fish. The gyros looked half chewed and the meat to chips ratio was poor. The only good thing about it was the pita bread Gonna stick to home cooked Greek food from now on-its way better

One of the best pizza places of all time! Amazing food especially for vegans. Better pizzas than any chain, and fascinating flavours. Hope dough and crust continue to expand!!
