Poor service: we were with a large group, but I had finished my main course before my husband(sat next to me me) had been served his and the rest of our party had been served, completed and left the table before we had been served our dessert. Poor food: had roast beef dinner- meat was tough, roast potatoes were so hard I could not cut them. Stuffing was like pieces of rock Savoy cabbage was lovely! I tried to discuss my issues but was dismissed and management chose not to speak to me. No acknowledgment of mistakes, no acceptance of errors. Prepaid so they didn’t care Waiters/waitresses were lovely, friendly and professional

This is my second time of in coming in 3 months. When I visited in July. Terrible service lost the order and gave us a free drink which I did not mind thus time I came with my father my dad meal look nice but my all day breakfast was horrible. No taste to it no runny eggs bacon was dried. Sausage no taste to them. Could have cooked better at home. Not be retuning

The staff…. are so lovely here always there to help if needed . The food …. We have been going to Sprinters since it opened and have yet to have a bad meal , I had prawns today and they were delicious..so I’d like to thank the staff for a lovely lunch .

Our bill was over £70 for two of us, hardly anyone in this place and yet the food was appalling! Prawn cocktail starter - brown lettuce served and not well presented. Mains - burger, both bun and burger black (burnt) especially around edges. Sweet & sour chicken - was left literally burnt to the metal dish (see pics). Was disgusting. Desserts - chocolate fudge Sunday, cream was curdled, pieces of fudge cake hard as if left in microwave too long? All in all, an appalling experience. Never again. Honestly, the food was so bad!!! I would have liked to complain to Sprinters but cannot see where to do this - yet.

Appalling meal. Had three courses and much of the food was uninspiring, burnt or chewy. For over £70 odd quid I expected more. Very disappointing. The sweet & sour Chicken was burnt on to the dish. The burger and the bun was burnt. See pics. Onion rings cold, starter prawn cocktails, £7.99 each, the lettuce had turned brown, bread was dry. Even the desert, the chocolate sponge was chewy, hard and overcooked in the microwave. The cream looked curdled, and was warm against the ice cream, very unappetizing. Will not be spending money there again!

Great place for mid week catch up with friends and good prices! food was good, service was a bit slow initially.

Visited with my friends for the first time and the steak was awesome, medium rib eye cooked just how I like, really generous portion sizes and the servers were great.

Went with my wife for a much needed meal out. Was served by a rude waitress (not only to us but also table of 10 next to us) who didn't know how to use their tablets for taking the orders.(The best bit is at the bottom btw.) Food took an age to arrive when told that it should be quick as there wasnt very many tables in (6) and when it arrived the steaks had not been rested (on a steak night).Had to remind the staff of the sauces we ordered and still heard one of them shout to the kitchen which table is this for. Food tasted adequate as could have made better at home. Asked for a second glass of wine - never arrived.Table of 10 asked if they could have a look at the desert menu and I overheard the waitress respond with "I suppose so". And then got upset when her colleague had taken the order before her.Finally when we asked for the bill we got asked if we wanted to pay on 2 separate cards. OMG! We are happily married couple and you never ask that to anybody.NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN TO BE INSULTED WHEN THE STAFF INSINUATE WE ARE HAVING AN AFFAIR! SHOCKING!

My six beautiful grandchildren visited santa today, included in the price of £5.99 was a present cooked. I would recommend to everyone that they book to have a visit with santa. The whole event is well planned. Thank you Sprinters steakhouse for making it an enjoyable experience for all of us xx

Menus on the website looked great, it's only a 20 minute walk from my daughters house so we booked a meal online for 4 of us. We were led to a table that was dirty and sticky and no-one came to wipe it down. We then waited around 20 minutes before anyone came over to take a drinks order. We ordered steaks, peas and chips for our main course... the food was luke warm and the tinned peas had an odd metallic taste. It wasn't as if it was busy, the place wasn't even a quarter full. We were asked if we would like desserts or coffee but we declined as my daughter pointed out that the coffee frother had a build up of caked milk which looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time. We didn't see a hygiene rating on display either. We won't be going there again.

Went for our yearly Xmas get together the staff were brilliant food was good steak was very nice all enjoyed and the best bit was the price

We go in regularly, most often on Tuesdays when there is a three course lunch menu for £5.75. The food is good, portion sizes are good, but although the staff work hard it takes a long time to get served. Don't go in in your lunch hour, you won't have received all your meal in that time! Drink prices are not good, a single measure of spirits is £3.35, then another 95p for draught lemonade. Best ask for water.

we normally have a good service and food is usually nicely cooked, but last week the service was lacking and quality.after waiting nearly 15 mins for drink and food order to be taken, it wasnt a busy afternoon.we had hot plates when the food came but there was no heat in the chilli con carne and we had to ask for it to be heated up.. chips were warm not hot only the motherinlaws fish was piping hot.normally get a better service they seemed to be short staffed.

Went for sunday dinner with my family last week, the restaurant was full, and a lady who looked to be a manager just said "try next door " I assume she meant try the bar side.I was a bit taken aback as her and two other staff all appearing to be managers were stood talking amongst themselves and I thought "well why dont you check?" You know as it's her job all the other staff were busy busting tables and working their backsides off. It became apparent that I would indeed need to ask in the bar. There was a table but after 15 minutes of waiting no one came to our table so I approached the bar. It seems no table service is offered here (a sign would have been helpful to let us know) I ordered food and drinks, it took 40 minutes for the bar lady to clear our table of starters , which is an appalling amount of time. Not her fault, she was running a bar that seated 40 ish people on her own, putting food and drinks orders through without any help whilst three "managers " were stood doing nothing but talk the whole time. Mains arrived and it was awful I know sunday lunch is cheap here, now we know why! Meat tough, mash tasted instant, gravy was salty and the vegetables were so hard I couldn't cut it, all thrown on a plate with zero presentation. My son who is 1 and happily eats dog kibble wouldn't touch his meal, I tried to flag down a manager but not one would turn away from chatting to one another, so we left. Never to return again. Dont waste your money here, the waitresses are running around like headless chickens whilst the managers do sweet FA at service time.

been here tonight for my retirement the meal was lovely so was the staff u worked so hard to please us all will be back next week thanxs for making it a night to remember xx

Have been to this venue numerous times and can honestly say that I have NEVER had a bad meal here. The food is freshly prepared, very good value for money and of tip top quality.

First visit to sprinters and we were pleasantly surprised. We had the all day breakfast and the portions were huge. Proper butchers sausage and fresh ingredients. Decently priced too. Deffo will go back

We were invited to breakfast for the England South Africa World Cup rugby and having never been to the area had no idea what to expect. We were so pleasantly surprised at the quality of food, excellent value and lovely staff. Nothing too much trouble even though they were obviously almost rushed off their feet. Nice spacious restaurant area. We will certainly find out way back there again.

Family meal, food was ok but had better. Chips very cheap frozen ones, they’d be better getting them from the chip shop next door!!

I decided to try this local steak bar after a visit to the local cinema having had a number of recommendations from friends, but I am sorry to say I was most disappointed. The fish I ordered was disgusting and so tough the fork would not penetrate it. When I complained, the waitress checked and reported that the whole batch was the same and therefore asked me for another choice. I was persuaded to have a steak as my husband said his was delicious. The steak arrived and looked very tempting but, unfortunately, it was tough and I was unable to eat a large portion of it. In compensation, my husband did not have to pay for his dessert. The staff were extremely apologetic and could not have been more helpful, but it did spoil what had been a great day out. It is unlikely we will be ina hurry to return here in the future.

I have been to this restaurant twice now for steak. It's good quality and value. There are two sides to this restaurant. There's a large area and a separate bar area where you can also eat. We go to the bar side because it is smaller and quiet. Good service.

Food and service was great.. Great price and latge portions.. Well worth a visit.. Best thing is how clean the place is.. Must employ a great cleaner

Called in as a family of 3 as we live nearby we thought we would give Sprinters a go.

Great value for money, friendly efficient service and fresh tasty food, what more could you want? Highly recommend.

We were a family party of 18 and we had a great afternoon the food was excellent and the staff were great. Thank you Meghan and staff.

Haven’t been her for a while defiantly not be coming back ,came today with friends for Tuesday special we ordered our meals at 12.10 took at least 20 mins for starters to turn up another 40 minutes for main course my friends had beef dinners I had tomato and basil pasta with garlic bread, when my lunch came out looked like a child’s portion the plate and dish was red hot the pasta was warm and garlic bread was just soft with butter on I sent it back out it comes again plate and dish red hot again pasta had been put in microwave as you could tell was all dried up and garlic had just been put under grill it went back again I was given my money back, I ended up going to Asda and getting a BLT, at no point where we told there was a waiting time for lunches, there was also a young lady waiting for her lunch she got very distressed her lunch hadn’t turned up she was given her money back to.

Visited Sprinters (part of the Stadium Group) last night. Have to say the meals we had were absolutely fabulous. The staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely an all round 10/10. Will definitely be back soon.

Visited this venue a couple of times now on the last occasion between 5-7 when thy do some fantastic deals. We opted for two meals for 10.00 when the came I could not believe it, thought they would be small portions due to price but full size meals. 2 steak and chips such good value.

Been for lunch today , sister had an accident ripping off her big toe nail the staff response was disgusting . She was offered help from another customer and we had to run to our local pharmacy to get some decent dressing after bar staff offered a plaster . First aider only appeared when we questioned who was the first aider . Absolutely disgusting need to give staff some training

Been quite alot of times, always good food ,very big portions and lovely staff.Very reasonably priced,well worth going.

This was my first visit having wanting to try for while now. The food was excellent for the price. The service could have been a bit more attentive as there wasn't many in, but the staff were friendly. We've booked to go again with family.

Booked a meal with several friends a couple of days ago. Everybody was happy with the food and the service the price was right too.

Normally really nice but for some reason waiting 35 mins for hits drinks and staff seemed a little off. Not normally like this but let’s hope it doesn’t stay this way.

We were starving for food and came across the delightful restaurant that is Sprinters. We went in and a nice waitress gave us our table and took our drinks order. We then decided on our food but one waiter decided we weren’t hungry enough for food and didn’t put our order through. We waited for an hour in the delightful surroundings, taking in the ambience of the restaurant to be asked “did you order food?”. Yes we did, an hour ago, where is it? “It hasn’t gone through” gr8 cheers m8

Brought my mum here along with my hubby for a mother’s day treat. The staff were super friendly, we arrived early but was seated at a table, we ordered food, the food was amazing and very good portion sizes to. I will definitely be returning very soon.

Shown to our table & then left with our menus & not even asked if we wanted to order drinks - 20 minutes later - still not been asked if we want to order drinks & their are 5 members of staff chatting & laughing at the bar.

Good price for good food. Would recommend, perfect for social meetings, couples etc. Better quality then Wetherspoons! Really like going and local for me. Good variety on menus and good deals/prices. Thank you sprinters!

This is second visit and the menu is exstensive, good value and large portions. They do offer a number of meal deals. Pleasant surroundings, friendly staff.

Went for an early doors meal on a Tuesday after 5 o’clock. We had the 2 for £8.50.

Just had a lovely roast turkey dinner my husband had roast beef food came quick staff work very fast running with dinners it was nice but the noise of people shouting children running around nearly bumping into staff just a little bit loud for us will come again maybe at a different time .

Me and my family have been to this pub/restaurant 3 times now for birthday meals...

Staff are very pleasant, the dining area and toilets are always clean and tidy but.... the food is dire! I ordered the mushroom starter, which had to go back as it was stone cold in the middle of each mushroom and tasted like they were straight out of the fridge. The replacement was also dire, as they were ultra hot on the inside and the batter was rock solid and I struggled to pierce them with a fork or cut with a knife.

Came a few times but 1st time since new year food was nice when the roast did came out items missing but staff was happy to sort the missing items of food out. I didnt have puddings but what was my down fall was hearing a manager shouting at a member of staff swearing at her for what seemed like a little mistake what could of been easily corrected... Not the first time I've seen this manager shouting and swearing at staff and customer's before. I really hope the young girl confidents wasn't hurt as you could see she was new.

Went for breakfast with the lads, we had a giant pot of tea and a mega breakfast each and none of us were dissapointed. Still full in the evening

Had a pre Christmas lunch here with my daughter - Friday lunch and it was lovely very quiet and civilised. Service cannot be faulted and lunch was delicious.

We called in at 14:00 and had the fish special which was freshly prepared and good value for money included a hot drink and bread & butter.

I took my group of 40 guests to Sprinters today for their 3 course festive meal. A fantastic success as usual - all served together -- all meals piping hot and delicious. Cannot speak too highly of this place and the lovely and supportive staff. Many thanks to everyone. Have already booked for the group to visit again every month in 2019 - my lot of lovelies insist they they don't want to go anywhere else! Thanks everyone xx

Visited with my mum for lunch and we were not disappointed. The menu is extensive lots of choice and good value for money. I had the surf and turf and mum had lasagne both were good and generous portions. The restaurant is very clean staff very friendly for a cheap meal you can’t go wrong.

Sprinters is much changed from its former incarnation as The Flying Horse pub. Bright and cheerful surroundings for a tasty supper with family. We had steak and ale pie, chicken tikka masala with all the trimmings Cajun chicken followed by lemon meringue pie, apple pie and custard and Eton mess. Including drinks for less than £10 per head. Not haute cuisine but hearty, tasty and satisfying.

We had been staying in Arnold Nottingham with family and had arranged to meet friends in sprinters . First of all I knew it would be good value for money and it didn’t fail to deliver ...

Took my group of 30 for their monthly meal at Sprinters yesterday- this time for the fish, chips and mushy peas with salad dressing. Absolutely delicious. What I want to know is how do you keep 30 large fish portions piping hot and so crispy. They were perfect. My group loved the meal as usual - fantastic atmosphere - lovely supportive staff and terrific value for money.

Visited on a Sunday and had a roast beef dinner. Nice food, ample portion size, reasonably priced, but reminded me of school dinners.

We have been here several times with friends.. yesterday we popped in on our own for Sunday lunch....but as we always get a great steak, we ordered a rib eye and a reggae steak. The place was busy with 2 large parties but the service was friendly and quick. Another great meal....2 steak dinner, half a lager and a coke. £35. Great value.....we will be back....

Very disappointing. Sunday lunch says buy one get one free however what I got was not £9 worthy. One slice of turkey 2 small roast potatoes a spoon of mash and a few carrots and thin cabbage. I would rather buy 2, pay the 9 quid put them together and get a decent meal. Got home and made a sandwich!

We have been here a couple of times and the food is excellent. The staff are always very friendly. Some of the best steak I have ever had.

Went here for lunch last week with a friend. Walted over fourty mins for a prawn cocktail which was totally tasteless and watery. I left most of it but had abit of the salad. My friend had fish and chips which was below average in looks and taste. I will not be returning as I did not enjoy this eating experience at all. It was hot and stuffy as well.

Nice place good service with friendly staff food is lovely would recommend Sunday dinners are nice and the steaks and home made burgers

Really shocking. Service was terrible. Had to ask for drinks every time we wanted any, no table service.. asked to be searved, when complaind and asked for manager the young dumb girl just looked at me and ask if any one wants desert. Spoke to manager and said he’s short staffed. Not an excuse, you’re a steak house. Had better meals at a bogof

Visited on Sunday with family, confusion about table booking but soon sorted, very bus6 but staff managed to keep up with it. Would certainly go back.

Always reliable quality and great service.

Love it here. We have our grandchildren on a Tuesday so always ready for a break in the evening! We get the bus to Arnold, a couple of pints in Nottinghamshire best pub (Robin Hood {and} Little John) then off to Sprinters for their 2for1 menu. Their steaks are delicious (usually). Best cooked rare...very tender and juicy with a really excellent flavour. There are lots of other dishes on the 241 but we always end up with the steaks. Staff are polite and helpful. It's a bit like a cafe but who cares. Fair range of drinks too...a good cheap night out. Try it.

Food ok nothing to rave about staff very friendly but felt like they didn’t have any time to take orders properly

We visited last month and had a great experience. Food cooked just to our liking, great service and attentive staff. Last visit this week errors with the order and tables not cleared after finishing eating. Errors were corrected and food was spot on. Chef was doing his job but front of house not on the ball. Tables outside in the courtyard looked like they had not been cleaned for weeks.... still rate the food for the price. Just depends on the staff in the restaurant who are working at the time. Up your game.

I took my lovely group for their monthly visit to Sprinters and yet again everything was perfect. Excellent meal - many thanks to all the kitchen staff - must have been hell working in there today! ------------- and to all the waiting etc staff who work so hard in the dining room. Consistently faultless in every respect. See you next month. xx

Since my last review of this excellent restaurant I have and my wife dined here a dozen times or more why do I come back because of the excellent service and the exquisite food you wont better anywhere in Nottingham, a very good varied menu with specials offered daily at prices that are unbelievable, the drinks very competitive . there steaks very tender and succulent I like the steak feast a really good plateful.

Great value and great food plus great service what more could you want. Really enjoyed my steak and chips with a beer.

My stomach was bad all day! My poor sister never got the stuffing she was promised and she now has to go down under for 4 weeks without!

I have visited here with family several times & some times its great others its terrible.I rang to book a table for eleven people for two birthdays,popped in on the day to drop off cakes & ballons to be told our booking was for the day before.but we were fitted in.Most of the party had steaks were cooked not how they had been ordered,so had to go back,some had burgers which were just a mess.After the meal we were never asked if we wanted the pudding menus,they just bought out the birthday cakes.[which we were going to take home]When they bought out the plates for the cakes five of the tea plates were dirty,so my son in law took them to the manager who was sat at the bar,not a sorry or any thing was just said I `ll get some more.This place does not deserve your money.On walking out my eleven year old grandson said" its gone down hill since Tony left" and yes I agree.

We have just visited here for the second time after being introduced to the house by friends! On both occasions both the food and staff have all been excellent, and I must say the steak is by far the best of any I’ve had recently! We travel from the other side of Nottingham to come here, however, the standard of food, service and the price make it a well worthy trip

Well friends. This place. Oh this place. The cocktails are to die for, especially when you're served by the young, handsome brown haired boy in the smaller side. Great range of cocktails, all of them are great! (Except for the black/white russian, I do not like coffee!) All together a pretty good place, would be a five star if there were more cocktails.

Visited again as we have not been for a while,but it was very busy most tables were full.We thought it would take ages to get served but it was a surprise to get our food pretty quick.The whole meal was lovley.It was nice to see Ellie back from maternity leave.

Went with my friend for a nice meal after id had surgery it was appalling my friends stake was meant to be medium rare it was dryer than a well done piece of bacon ! The chips looked depressed and soggy! And the garlic bread was like a rock. I would not recommend this place if your looking for a good meal there is a McDonald's up the road who offer better food for a lower price than this 'steak house' safe to say will never eat here again!

Just had three meals and my son had a pudding we had two pints of Courage beer and a glass of wine then ordered another round of the same , when got home and looked at the bill we had been charged £6 40 for the second two beers the first two of the same were £4 30 and the second glass of wine £4 10 and the first £2 15 had we noticed this before leaving would have questioned the staff the young dark haired lad served us total rip off won’t be back

Went with my dad last Sunday evening. Used the 2 for 1 menu. Dad had steak and ale pie and I had rump steak, both excellent. Best rump steak I've had in a long time.

Discovered this place by accident and is now a regular haunt of mine. Gets very busy in the day with us older peeps as it serves good food at a decent price.

I was impressed. We popped in on Tuesday evening. A nice clean place, sat by the window. My partner had 8oz rump steak, I had the fish n chips and my daughter had a pizza from the kids menu. My partners steak was cooked to perfection, my fish was very nice almost as good as a seaside bit of fish, the chips were banging, and my daughter's pizza didn't look like it was microwaved like in some places you go. that with a starter each and three drinks the whole lot came to just under £25. Tuesdays are 40% off. and yes we will be back. Well done!

Came here for my dads birthday meal and value for money is excellent. Plenty of food on your plates and very tasty food too.

We visited Sprinters and I don't know whats happened but things have changed,there is not enough staff taking orders.No Tony !!!! .Where have all the regular staff gone,have they been moved to The Stadium ? The food was nice this time,but not many customers in.

Went there tonight, previously went after it first opened. Not the best start. However tonight food was very well prepared, hot and the steak well cooked exactly how we asked.

We were in Arnold for a family funeral and needed to have an evening meal and sprinters was recommended. We parked outside and went in. The menu is quite extensive and well priced . We had drinks and ordered our starters of the mixed grill which was massive with onion rings mushrooms wedges chicken cheese and loads other bits.

Visit here often for breakfast which has always been very good. Decided to try lunch today, both had turkey dinner. Staff very pleasant food didn’t take long and was hot and well cooked. Really good value for money.

Not sure what is happening at Sprinters but its going down hill,we placed our order and when it came out four things was wrong with it.It was not wrong when the order was taken as I watched what was written down.Its not as if the place was busy as it wasn't.So not sure why things are coming out from the kitchen wrong,ours was not the only food to be incorrect.It was put right but that's not the point.When you order a meal together you want to eat together.

We had a table of 25 on boxing day it was lovely. Had a problem with one of the steaks and it was sorted straight away. We all left feeling stuffed and happy. The service was brilliant as always staff were friendly and cheerful. Went again on Friday night with a table of 35 food again was great and service was brill as the restaurant was really busy. There was however one thing missing and that was Tony. Bring him back to sprinters!!!!

Service quite poor! I got given the wrong meal they went to change the chicken but while my jacket potato was sat under the heat it had a "lovely" crust on the potato I had to lather it in butter I then asked for mayo when the waitress said would I like sauce that never showed up and no one was around to ask! I asked for the bill twice and in the end o paid at the bar which can I say is a pig sty.

Christmas eve was our fourth meal at this venue in december never a bad meal always a tender steak and good attentive service specially by Gemma, there starters, mains. and desserts are lovely and the prices are very competitive.cant beat homemade chips and thats what you get at sprinters,good food good service good prices, that good that we took our members of the arnold branch of breatheasy a british lung foundation run to help people with lung conditions etc.and sprinters and staff fed us a good christmas three course meal with all trimmings was brilliant.be back with breatheasy members very soon. my wife and i tucked into a full three course meal this christmas eve. my wife ate a starter of stilton mushrooms on garlic bread mine was a succulent prawn cocktail, we both ate a massive turkey dinner topped with the biggest yorkshire pud,we both ate a yule log portion with cream. drinks very competitive, thank you all and a happy christmas to all staff at sprinters very good at keeping there diners happy.

Visited on a saturday evening with a couple of friends and we got the sharing platter and some drinks.

I took my large group for their monthly lunch today - they had the braising steak and were raving about the superb quality yet again. The food there really is of consistent fantastic quality with great service irrespective of how busy they are. Booked and paid for 50 of them for the great festive lunch as well. Thanks a lot folks!!!!!!

Other meals ok but it is supposed to be a steak house Tried the steak for the first time cooked as per instructions but was really tough the steak knife had trouble cutting it very disappointing. It might be cheap but you expect to be able to eat and enjoy your steak!

I love the breakfasts here on a saturday or sunday morning. The staff are really pleasant and chatty, the food is wonderfully cooked and the coffee and atmosphere is great. I wasn't so impressed on steak nights, cheap and cheerful.

Beautiful steak at a brilliant price. Three starters three mains three drinks £31 really good value. Eaten here a few times but tonight's steak was the best I've ever had. Well done

I dine at this restaurant regularly. It has a friendly atmosphere, the food is great with generous portions and the level of customer service is excellent, I've noticed that the staff look very well dressed, happy working together which was nice to see and are always present to facilitate any requirements. I often leave having a good experience every time.

I’ve eaten here quite a few times and their food is usually pretty good but the last couple of times the wait for food to arrive has been ridiculous. It wouldn’t have been so bad if the staff had warned us of a long wait when we ordered like most pubs do but there was nothing and no apology either. The place didn’t even seem that busy. After 50 minutes we gave up and left.

We visit here at least once a week....never had a bad meal the steaks are amazing so are the staff.You couldn't make a steak at home for these prices and somebody else does the washing up everyone's a winner. Yes the drinks are a tad expensive but you save ££££££'s on the food and water is free. What do people want these days?? We have ate here the stadium and the broom hill and they are all quality
