Went here tonight 15/5/22 for a late birthday meal.Food was cooked to perfection.Aaron was our server,hes a top lad and very knowledgeable about the food.Thankyou and ill see ya soon 😀

Me & my partner have dined at Miller & Carter quite a few times now. As usual, we enjoyed our meal and our server Mihai was very attentive. He was also quite chatty which we liked. As we had childcare for the evening/overnight, we indulged in starters, a sharing board which was very filling and alsl a dessert each plus 4 cocktails each. We left feeling very satisfied and full! Abit too full! Lol. We will be definitely returning again in the future.

The food was amazing and Chris our waiter just topped off the experience. His knowledge of the food and recommendations were second to none. He just has a natural flair for talking to people and making them feel special. Thank you Chris. You are a credit to the restaurant.

What an experience! Our first time at Miller and Carter for my Dad's birthday and all I can say is Thank You! The atmosphere, serivce and food was outstanding, I have never tasted steak like it. Time between courses was a little wait however nothing disappointed and the resturant was extremely busy. The staff were amazing, ran off thier feet. The little touches goes along way, the candle in Dad's dessert and the staff gathering to sing Happy Birthday made his night. Thank you so much for a great experience and we look forward to returning in the future. Well done Sherwood Team xxxx

Steak dinner was delicious but my vegetarian wife found the menu very limited. She had the plant based burger and found it totally tasteless.

The staff were excellent, we had a friend who has an allergy to alcohol. The staff went out of their way to ensure no cross contamination affected our friend. The steaks were delicious, full of flavour and tender. Unfortunately one of our group had the ribs and found them to be dry and tasteless. I was reminded several times through booking reminders that you have a strict dress code. As such we were very surprised to see patrons wearing Crocs, tracksuit bottoms, trainers, and other items which fall short of you advertised dress code. Overall the experience was good and will visit again.

Excellent service and food brill

Been tonight for a family birthday meal and I have to say it was simply awful. 45 mins for the starter to arrive which was ok to be fair apart from wait. However, when we did our mains it was stone cold at best all 5 dinners. We asked them to take them back and re-do them but was told two of the meals were no longer available. We had to order two different meals. This time the two different meals chicken was so dry it wasn’t fit for purpose. We decided to call it a day.. been there since 6:30pm and left at 9pm.. totally ruined the birthday meal.. total waste of time and an occasion we will remember for the wrong reasons. We will never be back again.. awful food and they want to charge £50 for a steak.. I think they need a new chef to say the least if that’s the best they can do and happy to turn out. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Me and my wife visited on Tuesday night and was impressed as always with the food, service and atmosphere. Our waiter Mihai was great, really chatty and couldn’t do enough for us. He also arranged for a lovely touch for our dessert.

Excellent service, staff were lovely and steak cooked exactly to order and melted in my mouth and lunchtime menu is excellent value!

We came for the Butcher's Block and were disappointed to find it was not available.

Came for Sunday lunch with my family today. Service was excellent and very prompt considering it was very busy. Our server, Harrison, was very accommodating and always had a ready smile for us. Food was exceptional as usual and to quote my husband- “we’ve never had a bad meal here!” Thank you Miller and Carter.

Served by Kirstie C, fantastic and informative guided us through every step of how we wanted our dinner, would highly recommend. Lovely setting on the edge of robin hoods’ forest.

We usually pick this restaurant for all of our special occasions and yet again it did not disappoint. This time we came for my mum's birthday and the food was excellent as always. Our server was Claudia and her service was brilliant, she was professional, efficient and communicated well with a positive attitude and the 3 of us felt welcomed from the start, it just added to wonderful birthday treat.

Steak was ordered as medium and both steaks were medium rare at best. One steak was particularly fatty. Our server was good no complaints there but for a specialist steak house the quality and preparation was poor. Not had this problem at other Miller & Carter establishments.

We had a lovely date night dinner. The food was high quality and delicious, I had the lamb and my partner had a 16oz stake which he was very impressed with. We shared a trio of deserts which were delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was a little bit loud but to be expected with it being so busy. I would highly recommend to friends/family

Fantastic attentive service from Harry, all our food was great including good choice for our picky son… nice little touch with birthday candle on my dessert! Would definitely recommend for food service and quality of food - all had filet mignons which were top class!

Went to celebrate a birthday with husband and 2 friends. Service was excellent and the food was exceptional. I had the salmon. Hubby had the sea bass, and one friend had roast chicken and his wife had the beef burger. Clean plates all round. We will be back.

Tonight was our 1st time here. We were served by Mia, who was very attentive and friendly. She gave an excellent recommendation for the scallops, which complimented my perfectly cooked steak. She even surprised me with ice cream after mentioning we were having late birthday celebrations. Big thank you to her for looking after us. We will be back

We love going to Miller & Carter, we had Baked Camembert for starters, followed by lettuce with grated cheese and a blue cheese sauce, then Chateaubriand with new potatoes and a trio of green vegetables, accompanied by a nice bottle of Rioja all served by the amazing Kirstee C who was so professional and attentive to our requests, who served us with a huge smile, thank you for making our Birthday and Anniversary lunch so very special.

This is the slowest service I've ever seen.

We absolutely loved it. The food was stunning, service fab! Personally we would have preferred to have the lettuce wedge earlier than the steak (personal preference). Best place for steak in my opinion. Really love going here.

Called in as we were passing by for lunch and we were really pleased that we did. Both the food and the service by Julie were great. Will definitely visit a Miller and Carter again. The lunchtime menu is really good value as well.

I last visited on November 2023 when my daughter was pregnant - the food was incredible as was the service by Jane. I wanted to treat my husband and son so booked a table on the 6th April 2024. We were again served by the incredible Jane. Her customer service is second to none and made sure everything was perfect. It was the first time my husband and son had eaten at Miller and Carter and to say they thought their food was delicious is an understatement - my carnivorous husband said his steak was the best he has ever had as did my son with his Miller Dirty Burger. Such a lovely atmosphere, first class service and consistently fabulous food. I am never disappointed with any aspect of visiting Miller and Carter Sherwood Forest.

Excellent meal here today for my husbands birthday. Brilliant service, Harry in particular was very accommodating and friendly. Food was fantastic, and even a little touch of “happy birthday” and a candle being put on my husbands dessert (see pic). Given that we had chosen off the lunchtime menus, we didn’t expect large portion sized, but we were very wrong! And a great choice on the children’s menu as well. Thank you for making my husbands birthday so lovely ☺️

The prawn and avocado salad was very under welming, minimal ingredients except for lettuce and was expecting more of the bloody mary sauce ... was watery with no kick , maybe serve on the side ? The fillet steak had sinue running through 😞

70th Birthday celebrations, overall with price and presentation very underwhelmed , paid less and had better. Maybe just cut of meat and lobster tales not very impressive.

This was my first visit to Miller and Carter yesterday for a steak dinner experience. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly staff member and shown to the bar for a drink along with our pager to call us when the table was ready. Our waiter for the night introduced himself, was super polite and took our drinks order whilst we perused the extensive steak menu (they do also have main meals other than steaks). I chose the battered calamari for a starter and the 50 day aged 8oz ribeye along with french fries, onion loaf slice, a garlic and gran padano dressed wedge of lettuce and tomato. Well what can I say, this was the tastiest, and most succulent steak I have ever eaten. The whole experience with such friendly staff and excellent food made it an unforgettable meal. Very well done to all your staff. If you love steaks and fine dining this is the place for you.

Had such a lovely time ... food was fantastic and cooked to perfection, our server was lovely.... the only down side ( which wouldn't put me off coming again ) was the lack of lightning in carpark .... was totally blackness when we came out, but overall a wonderful place

Staff very friendly and the food was excellent

Essentially there was nothing great, service was slow, the server clearly uneducated within there role, incorrect advise on drink selection which resulted in incorrect drinks being purchased which then took around 15 minutes to exchange, meal fillet steak not cooked as instructed.

Was served by Nicola, and couldn't ask for a better host. She was attentive and couldn't ask for more, one of the fillets was under-done, and she soerted it straight away. Having done the job for many years, i can say with some knowledge, you are lucky to have this one, she's good.

The dinner took a long time to come I had to return my dinner because the baby potatoes were cold and others mentioned their steaks weren't cooked correctly

We have been visiting for the past few years but we're disappointed with the sauce portions both on the wedge and the steak sauce. Also the absence of Diane sauce was felt. We feel at a steak house there should be Diane sauce then one we did try was not suitable for steak.

Absolutely outstanding meal and service, even when it looked like a particularly busy time. We felt comfortable and were left to eat our meal in our own time without rushing. The manager came over and addressed an issue with my wife's meal, where they had recognised they had made a mistake, and they corrected it immediately without her having to wait whilst everyone else ate. Simply put, this experience had that one of a kind feel to it and puts a lot of other restaurants to shame.

Excellent meal. Top quality Brilliant service by Harrison. First time visitors, but will be back again. Had the black Angus with a half rack of ribs, absolutely divine and plenty of food.

If you have any allergies please don't eat here. We told them about a egg allergy when we book ed and also when we ordered. After our meal we left and I was sick for two days due to my egg allergy. We did let Miller & Carter know and the explanation was cross contamination because they are so busy. Still waiting for my simple "sorry"

There was a wait of around 20mins to be seating and our starter took a little longer than expected however our server, CaitlynH was fantastic- she always kept us informed even though site was extremely busy and we were enjoying the atmosphere. She kept us topped up with drinks and the food was excellent when it came. Can’t thank Caitlin enough for her great service. A credit to your team !!

I asked for steak well done and it was red and bloody, the young waiter changed it and cooked it some more.

First time in a very long time I have enjoyed a meal will definitely return with the whole of my family .the lady that waited on us was very very nice .polite and professional her name was Nicola .the place is a very relaxing atmosphere .would definitely recommend the price was very good £20 foe 3 course meal can not go wrong

Time between being served our 3 courses and our drinks was extremely long and we were left with dirty dishes and plates during all of this time. It was as if no one seemed to want to clear them away. Infact,the waiter that eventually took our pudding order, then tried to set 2 of our puddings down next to all of our main course plates that hadn't been cleared away previously. He then disappeared to get our other 2 puddungs and would have set these down too if we hadn't intervened. It was at this point that we asked another waiter (that was passing by) to move our dirty main course dishes away for us, as our table was completely cluttered by this point! All of this is such a shame, as it really does reflect so badly on such beautiful food that was eventually served!
