Had a lovely breakfast here today - staff were lovely, breakfast came quickly and was hot. Tables being cleared promptly too - very good!!

Decent Spoons. All the usual stuff you would expect, but also clean and friendly. Good ale choice from local breweries.

Usual weatherspoons busy tables not cleared quickly skeleton staff on the bar at times some food orders can take a while but they do warn of this when ordering

We recently participated in a community clean up event and the Ernhale offered free drinks for all volunteers. The tea's & coffee's were really good, the atmosphere inside was very welcoming and the staff were all lovely & friendly. Thankyou so much Rebecca & team it was very much appreciated!

Was in town for dentist visit,from Mansfield. Called in for afternoon snack and drink . First time in here , loved it good quick service,food nice and the atmosphere of the pub was great. Could have stayed longer

Tables full of empty glasses , bottles and plates no body clearing them or cleaning them, staff that they did have where bringing drinks to the table and not even taking empties away don't know if they were short staffed or just couldn't be bothered by

I do get the fact it’s a pub which is fair enough, but…ordered food, waited 40 minutes and…received cold food. Staff was not bothered when my partner asked after 30 minutes of waiting how long it’s gonna take as we waiting long enough. We have heard an answer that food is ready but somebody needs to bring it. As it’s been said we received cold food. For drink okay place for food I don’t think we will come here again.

Waiting waiting waiting!!!! And then . "Who is next! " And waiting waiting again!!! Get the correct staff in!! All staff apart from about 3 to 4 have it nailed down! One of those workers you sacked !! Policy I understand no names mentioned but was the best with Alice! Lucky for us she is still there and makes our drinking experience a Little less stressful and knowone walks of the the Greyhound!!!

It's a very basic, bog standard Wetherspoons compared to others nearby. Definitely in need of a revamp, it feels dingy. Food was ok, service was good, staff were friendly

Not been in there for ages, served by a very polite and helpful lady, had a chicken lunch, and glass of lager, then a lady friend of many year came in unexpectedly, so that made it a perfect end to a very enjoyable visit to the Ernhale.

The meals and drinks are affordable. A good place to come to meet up with friends and family.

We enjoyed the traditional breakfast. Good selection to choose from, food was hot and didn't have to wait long.

Came in today trying to get served girl called Charlotte. Was serving and another customer was being served and we was waiting wasnt busy tho she was scrolling on her phone rather than serving said im busy need to order my breakfast not sure why your staff need to order there breakfast on there phones ignoring customers bad management

Good value food. Excellent lasagne, garlic bread & salad. Nice Mediterranean salad dressing g, I was pleased this was served I #a separate pot so I could choose whether & how much dressing to use. Fellow diner's steak & kidney pudding, chips & veg also good except that the pudding was quite small, smaller than we remembered from previously. Good friendly efficient service, food arrived v quickly and hot.

Local spoons tis what it is cheap an cheerful in 2024 hard to beat on price

Jeorgia, Charlotte & Becca are the best. Always a vibe, cheap and cheerful with lovely staff to accommodate that. It's my local and I'd never not recommend or go here on any occasion.

Don’t get me wrong never usually issues with this place absolutely love it. However the glasses today somewhat put me off. Two tables full of empty glasses no tables were cleared or cleaned for 30 minutes maybe more after the customers had left…I get it got busy here and there but nearly every table has glasses and stuff all over them, glasses piled and stacked all over place with nobody touching a single glass to clean for a good 30 minutes. A lot of the time there were multiple on the bar and not a single one cleaned until they ran out of glasses. Bit disappointing as could’ve been easily avoided but was just ignored until they urgently needed glasses. Other than that everything was great but very off putting when tables around you are stuffed with glasses. Don’t get me wrong staff were polite

To the people that complain and or make comments about a specific staff members hygiene maybe think that it could be because of a medical condition. It probably bothers them more than it bothers you, they have to live with it effecting most areas of their life probably causing them anxiety and to be self conscious. So maybe think and take that into consideration. To address a particular review about not ordering food here regarding this ‘issue’ there is absolutely nothing wrong with the food but that is the persons own personal choice. All the staff members are lovely people, so I hope any negative reviews don’t put people off coming here whether or not it is just for drinks or for a meal the staff are great and the atmosphere is good

This review is purely inspired by the regular experience we have with a particular staff member. If you come to work to serve the general public, please take regular showers and wear antiperspirant. You can smell one of the male waiters as soon as you walk through the door. Since he started working here, I've refused to order food

The food here is nice, its your basic whetherspoons menu although id have liked it if there were something new or different on the dessert menu to try. They are quick to take your order or you can download the app and order from your table. There is always somewhere to sit as there are a lot of tables available and there are upstairs toilets as well as a disable toilet downstairs. If you are looking for a family friendly or child friendly place to go eat, this would be the place to go. Its also probably a good place to go drinking although i myself havent tried it as i dont live local

Called in for lunch. Lovey place for food or drinks. Lots of seating. Great selection of sauces for your meal. Car park at the back is free for 2 hours. A few tables outside too.

It's a Wetherspoons, so you get what you pay for. Staff were friendly and cleaned up relatively quickly. Atmosphere is always busy, which I dislike, but is fully expected from this type of establishment. Cheap beers, though cocktails are poor. Did not eat food so I did not rate the food. I'd go again. Afterall, Wetherspoons is a British staple.

My local spoons.. For Wifey and me.. Ordered via app quick to deliver cups.. Then it went downhill fast... Ordered Haggis.. (Not Available) Waited for 45 mins for breakfast.. NO SHOW.. went to complain to hear it's ready now.. Too late.. Manager wanted to still charge me for the coffee.. I pointed out check the clean cups.. Wasted one hour of my life I won't get back.. Got a refund.. No Customer Care.. If I could it would get ZERO STARS.. It's 2024 not 1970 at a Greasy Spoons..

No atmosphere and service is a bit slow, but it's cheap, clean, and has exactly what you'd expect.

Visited here with daughter and two teenage grandchildren ,even though the place was really busy and short staffed ,we did not have a long wait for the food to be served

Staff seemed to be over-worked, but helpful and polite. Never had hot beans on my breakfast from here. Looking forward to the day I'm surprised by having hot bean. Decor is very dark and feels very dated.

This place is hit and miss, sometimes the shift that's on are brilliant then other shifts are terrible. Sorry but ane member of staff has very bad bo which can be smelt when you walk in the door. I won't eat there if their on. It is old and in need of a refurb Some staff are fantastic but others just can't be arsed.

2215 on Saturday night. 4 people behind the bar, 1 cleaning, 1 putting glasses away, 1 filling the fridge's and 1 serving. Pretty sure the 1 serving was paying everyone else's wages. Ridiculous!!!!!

Most of the bar staff ignore you when you come in, It takes an age to get someone's attention to get a beer. No welcome no smile or hello, With the group of friends that I came in with, all said the same about the staff there. It's never been so bad. The toilets were really dirty and smell, It's gone down hill This place needs a good manager to run it .

My husband and I popped in for something to eat and I can honestly say the food as well as the presentation was awful. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t expect the Ritz but I do expect decent pub grub. My husband had a burger with fries; there was no salad garnish as in previous visits. I had the quorn nugget curry which had been fried so long I couldn’t cut them with a knife. I had to snap them a bit at a time with my hands. We could have complained, but what is the point, we just won’t return.

We were put walking at the weekend & called in the Ernhale for a glass of Chardonay & a glass of Merlot. Always good value. We always have a bowl of chips to share when we call in here. Must say they were piping hot & delicious.

Dirty tables, glasses not collect d the whole time we were there. Went for a mixed grill steak was like leather as well as the lamb., no we didn’t eat it sent it back to be told you can’t have your steak cooked how you want it, got a refund. I’m paying for it so I should be able to have it how I want it! First time back in since covid will not be returning.

6 months ago this place was OK, now, most of the staff don't bother to greet you, don't care who came to the bar first and just generally don't care about anything. Tables are shocking, sticky, dirty, full of used glasses and plates, menus sticky. Have enjoyed meals here in the past but lack of cleanliness puts me off now. Stinks of piss way before you get to the door to the toilets. Cheap beer, when you can get served, but will find another local

The patty itself was an insult to the concept of meat, devoid of any flavor or succulence. It was akin to chewing on a piece of flavorless cardboard, leaving me utterly dismayed. Even the most budget frozen burger from a supermarket would have been a gourmet masterpiece in comparison. To add insult to injury, the size of the burger was laughable. It was scarcely larger than a mere slider, leaving us both feeling deceived and famished. How Wetherspoons managed to transform a quintessential dish like a burger into such a pitiful portion is beyond comprehension. It was an outright disappointment. Now, let's delve into the taste—or lack thereof. The burger had a rubbery texture that was both unappetizing and inexplicably hard to swallow. Each bite was a grim reminder of the dire mistake we had made in choosing this establishment for our meal. The flavors were nonexistent, rendering the entire experience akin to chewing on tasteless gristle. It was an assault on our taste buds, and the repercussions lingered long after we left the premises. But wait, there's more. The burger came adorned with a slice of cheese that appeared to have been carelessly slapped onto the patty. Not only was it cold and unappetizingly unmelted, but it lacked any essence of flavor whatsoever. It seemed as though someone had taken a lifeless, factory-made cheese slice straight from the refrigerator and casually placed it atop the insipid patty. It was an egregious offense to the notion of a proper cheeseburger. Regrettably, the aftermath of our dining experience was far from pleasant. Later that evening, my poor mum fell ill, experiencing discomfort and uneasiness. While we cannot say with absolute certainty that the burger was the sole culprit, it was undeniable that the entire meal left an adverse impact on her well-being. This added an extra layer of distress to an already disheartening experience. In conclusion, I implore anyone contemplating a visit to Wetherspoons to steer clear of their burgers. They were unequivocally the worst burgers we have ever encountered, both in terms of taste and portion size. Save yourself the disappointment, and perhaps even potential health issues, by seeking out a more competent establishment that takes pride in serving appetizing and satisfying meals.

Mid afternoon, fairly busy. Good service and an excellent pint of real ale at the usual low price. A good few clean tables to sit at and not noisy.

The staff really are shocking at this place. The young lad with black curly hair has zero customer service. He never greets customer, he just looks at you like you are an inconvenience. He even stood in front of me and asked me if anyone else was serving as he didn't seem to want to serve. He looks so unhappy in his job. The larger lady is brash and scary. The lad with longer hair is friendly enough but a week ago he said he didn't know what Jim beam was, really?! The girl waiting on tables seems friendly but I never eat here. The tables are never cleaned, even when they aren't busy. The chairs are always filthy. I only go here as it is cheap. Up your game wetherspoons!

Absolutely terrible food. Parents went for their weekly lunch. Service was poor. Waited ages for their food. When the food arrived the fish batter was dark brown and cold. Peas were dried out and hard and so were the chips. General cleanliness of tables were awful. The table next to my parents was full of breakfast pots not cleared away. So disappointed with he whole experience.

I love curries. The hotter the better AND pouring the sauce over chips. So when both the curry, sauce and chips are PERFECT, it only makes you love Wetherspoon's food. Excellent value. Great vibey atmosphere!

Never really had a bad meal from this weatherspoons the food is always piping hot which is always good and very tasty, atmosphere is good it's a pub so busy and lots of people talking as you'd expect but this time on the service on this visit was very disappointed there was loads of tables with dirty plates and glasses on lots of tables. The table we chose we had to move the glasses from previous people and their plates onto another table and wipe the salt off the table ourselves. The guy on the tills really seemed like he really don't want to be there didn't even get a thank you from him and when the young lady brought our food over she didn't take away the empty glasses which could clearly see was causing us to not have much room so again we had to move them onto another table with the previous pots. Then the lady brought our deserts over and didn't even take our dinner plates away she just dumped them onto our table so again.... We moved the plates onto the now stacked table. I understand businesses have bad days and staff have bad days we are all human but this took the micky abit

They have increased the price of the food but decreased the portions. My partner ordered the hellumi burger, which she said was lovely, but the plate looked sparse as there were hardly any chips with it. My friend ordered a normal burger which looked baron and again hardly any chips. The bar tendors need to watch who is coming to the bar to serve people in the correct order. The staff are lovely though.
