We went along for dinner and the Saturday live music. Korean beef dish was incredible, can’t wait to have it again, the music was excellent too.

We went for Easter lunch and was quite disappointed. I had a Nut Roast which was £19.90 so I expected great things. My 3 Potatoes were hard, I had one quarter of a carrot, my friend was lucky and got half (as seen on photo) few beans, maybe a tablespoon of cabbage and gravy. After finishing 2 of our 3 plates were taken away, no pudding menu was given nor have we been attended to ask for it or any drinks. Food has usual been good and I left a review before but this time it’s not been worth it as I left hungry due to not eating breakfast as I expected a bigger portion for the price. Also how is the veggie option £3 more expensive than meat? I find that very frustrating, my choice of not eating meat should not increase the price. Won’t be back for Sunday roast, might visit for drinks and a lunch again as previously it was good.

Late Sunday afternoon dinner for the family was fantastic. Me and the wife had the Sunday Chicken dinner and the kids had the Bells Burgers . Everyone of us said how nice the meat was and how enjoyable it taste. The staff were friendly and very helpful and Harvey'who served us couldn't do enough. We will all definitely return again soon for a family Sunday dinner. Pete

Super roast dinner piping hot and lots on the plate could not fault it and very friendly staff will definitely use again BEST ever.

The food was nice, hot (which is important). With warnings from servers about the hot plates. Only 3 choice of dessert, so most of us didn’t have one. Luckily ice cream was available for our 4 year old.

Lots of great recommendations for this place so we were excited to try. However we were extremely disappointed with the food, value for money and atmosphere! The Sunday lunches were really small and expensive for what they were. My son had a kids meal where the peas had clearly been microwaved- they were so chewy and frozen. We were really disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this place.

We have been for a few meals here and been great and brought my sister as she wanted to try and we booked about 4 weeks ago. but tonight was a disaster. There was very little available on the menu and instead of a meal we ended up sharing some tapas, which wasn’t what we came for. The food was OK but not as good as we’ve had before. The waitresses were fantastic and really helpful but explained that the pub was changing pub chain and they were running the stocks down. All in all we were very disappointed and considering we booked 4 weeks ago really we should have received a courtesy call to explain there would be a limited menu so that we had a choice of whether to go or book somewhere else.

Great food and cask ales. Had the French Cheese and Onion Melted Sandwich (can't remember the exact name) and it was amazing. Cask ales are pretty damn good and always worth a pint (or more if you aren't driving) Great place to go for Sunday Lunch but make sure you book to make the most of the visit. Had a Beef Roast but had half demolished my plate when I realised I hadn't taken a photo of the amazing food. Photo is of the Chicken Roast and it was very very tender.

Beautiful pub with great food. The service is attentive, friendly and the variety of options on the menu covered everyone in our party. Every meal was delicious. We came as a belated birthday meal and the staff really went out of their way to look after us, even giving us a birthday dessert, which was a lovely touch. We will be back!

Another new brigade in. They are getting there. The Blade of Beef option my wife was looking forward to had run out by 7.10pm and she had to re-order through the disappointment. Food excellent as were the house wines. We will be back to support our local that used to be so good. Shipstones ales also good.

First time visiting as we recently moved to the area. Food was really really nice. I didn't appreciate though waiting more than 20 minutes for deserts, when it was not even particularly busy. Anyway, food was really impressive and we will definitely visit again soon.

The parsnip soup was tasty and presented beautifully. The pie and vegetables were great, portion sizes just right. The waitress was very friendly and cheerful. It was a lovely lunch, not busy, so the atmosphere was quiet, but we still enjoyed ourselves and will be going back again. Thank you

Beautiful Traditional Pub in Woodborough Village... Had the Nut Brown, which was a very nice pint. For food, my wife and I had the Trio of Meat Sunday Roast, which was excellent . Staff were polite and attentive ... Would definitely recommend 👌 Finally the log burner was a welcome touch on a cold winter's day...

Quality of the food is excellent and the staff are friendly but be prepared to wait a while during busy periods such as Sunday Lunch.

I stayed overnight in my motorhome in the car which was a peaceful stay. I had a lovely meal in the pub, can't fault anything! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, warm, and cosy.

This pub sits in a pretty village however, sadly it keeps changing managers/owners and the food doesn’t seem to be the same standard/quality as nearby rivals. The fish finger sandwich came on what looked like ‘50 50’ thin sliced packet bread 🤦🏼‍♀️ and sat by its side was some thinly sliced lettuce drizzled in a nice tasting vinaigrette. I’m not sure if they were low on salad materials as my sons main meal was a Caesar Salad, not lacking in bacon or chicken but certainly lacking in salad. Both the fish finger sandwich and the Ceasar salad weren’t cheap either, so very disappointing When we go for a meal the look of the food and first impressions last. The Fox and Hound in Blidworth do a fantastic fish finger baguette and made this one I had here look like a child had made it. We were glad we ordered the side of tapas as these made up for the other things.

Tuesday night food, great place for some good food. The beer was a great find for a local brewery. The food was well presented and tasty. The landlady and bar staff were very friendly and attentative, cheerful and friendly. Great place to sit down near the log fire and enjoy the warmth.

Had Sunday lunch here, it was mine and my partner’s first visit. The roast beef dinner was gorgeous, proper Yorkshire puddings and we also had the cauliflower cheese which was excellent. We had the chocolate peanut stack for dessert and it was one of the best desserts I’ve had in a very long time! Beautiful pub, friendly service too. We’ll happily go back 😊

First time visiting here as it’s pretty local. Decided to try the tapas evening for our wedding anniversary. The pub is in a lovely location. Food was lovely but as we had tapas I expected a small plate each to divide up the different dishes between us. Once food had been bought to our table that’s the last we saw of any staff and it wasn’t particularly busy ( myself and my husband ) and a party of about 7 celebrating a birthday. We would have liked another drink and a dessert but after waiting for someone to clear the plates for about half an hour we went to the bar to pay and left. This pub has so much potential to be great but the service is seriously lacking.

Being residents in the village on and off for 50 years we have seen the comings and goings at the pub. Just had Sunday lunch and quite simply excellent! We all had beef, medium rare, homemade made Yorkies , all plated with selection of veggies inc red cabbage which wasn’t bothered about but didn’t spoil my lunch. With the extra mash and veg was about £20 ph but the beef is quality. Living in the village and when home from work, just want a pub with good food, service and nice atmosphere, somewhere that ticks all the boxes. Doesn’t need a Michelin star like establishments in neighbouring villages just keep it going and the local support will follow.

Amazing roast dinner and puddings. Even my kids ate their dinner. Great service also will be back.

Had a drink after a 3 and a half mile walk

As a family, 9 of us my family my brothers family and our parents, we try to get out for a family meal each month and we change the place every time - this is an odd one for me, because I know potentially it could be fantastic, our experience was pretty poor tonight, it’s above average in cost, so it is reasonable to expect quality. The food was problematic, I had muscles to start, no complaints but my fathers soup arrived a good half hour after everyone else had finished, then I had steak, cooked well done when I asked for medium rare. I sent it back and the new one was raw and cold in the middle, I couldn’t eat it, we were not charged for the soup or the steak - the service however. Was top - from the barman to the wait staff, absolutely no complaints, in fact they were very good. I wouldn’t usually consider going back to a place that didn’t meet expectations but I just know they can do better - thank you for the service, we will come again someday to prove I’m right 😊

What another amazing meal at the four bells In fact it is our second day in a row coming to dine here staff are always friendly and alway a lovely family feel ! Its nice to be greeted by Caroline the new landlady she always found chatting to the locals making all feel welcome and if people are happy with everything Bonus you are allowed to bering Dogs may it be just a drink or food you pop by four you will always get a warm welcome Look out for themed events and evening

Absolutely amazing atmosphere! Been here a few times just for drinks and sat outside. Tonight we went for dinner and wow, i dont think i have ever tasted anything better anywhere else iv eaten at! Literally was every mouthful was amazing! Staff are lovely and always polite and cant do enough do for you. Had live music too! Honestly the atmosphere here was great, were not from the village but felt like part of the community. See you soon!

What a lovely building! Food was delicious with some different to usual dishes to choose from including a great tapas selection which didn’t disappoint! Noticed that burger night Wednesdays are coming and I will be going for sure as again something different to choose from and suitable for whatever your food preferences.

We've visited a few times since Charlie and Jake took over and all we can say is we're really happy to have our local pub back! The service and team are great, the food is fabulous and my husband assures me the beer is great too! The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, even if there is just a few of us in. And as a gluten free person, this has to be one the best gf fish and chips I've had in years! The dogs are always made to feel super welcome too!

Not good at all, the menu has totally changed in the last couple of weeks since we last visited and not for the better. Not sure if it’s been taken over again. No pizzas, these were so good previously, who doesn’t love a pizza! The food is not as good either, portion sizes are terrible, and the sandwich my daughter ordered was not good, thin sliced bread and not particularly fresh, surely a chef should be able to get a sandwich right, very disappointing. Very few chips in the portion too. My youngest ordered a child meal and for £6.50 it was pitiful. Lots of places nearby offer a child’s meal deal - drink and meal and pudding for the same price. The staff were welcoming and patient - we were in a group and took some time to order (mainly due to the lack of choice) but never the less they were helpful. It is a shame as we live about half an hour away and drove there for pizzas as they were great a few months ago. Not sure we will rush back sadly. Lovely pub in a lovely village but so much better around.

You know your roast will be delicious when the waiter asks you if you’d like your beef pink or well done. Cracking Sunday lunch, great value and the pigs in blankets were epic!!

I gather the pub is under new management. We were given a very friendly welcome, had an excellent fish and chips and well kept beer. I wish the new people every success.

Visited for Sunday dinner around 5.30pm. Pub was basically empty, no atmosphere whatsoever. Very slow service even though it wasn’t busy. Absolutely extortionate pricing for what you get, ridiculously tiny portions! None of us were pleased with our meals, soggy carrots and cabbage, undercooked cauli cheese, 3 tiny roasties and a watery bland gravy. Pudding was decent though, we all had the toffee and honeycomb cheesecake. We wouldn’t come again, very poor overall, don’t recommend.

Walked in on Saturday to book a group of 20 in for a work do. No one else in there but two staff on. One was watering stuff outside, walked past me, said hello, filled up with water then walked back out. The other stood at his computer and continued to totally ignore me. I walked out.

We called in for a drink on a very hot Saturday afternoon to find that the inside of the pub was really cool due to the fact that the barman had kept the doors shut to keep the heat out. Very chatty staff and a lovely pub all in all. It has what appears as a Tudor style about it, whether it goes back that far I don't know but it looks the part. Really nice place to stop for a drink.

We came with our three year old for an early dinner on a Saturday evening. Staff were very friendly! Food was lovely! Plenty of options for gluten free and children! Reasonably priced! Lovely atmosphere.

I had the Chicken roast but unfortunately it wasn't as good as I expected from the reviews. Whilst the taste of the chicken was lovely they only gave 2 small pieces along with 3 pieces of potatoes and as fresh vegetables they offered some shredded cabbage and carrots. Overall it was a small portion for a high price.

We are so pleased that the Reunion Pub brigade, and manager Adam and his excellent team, have fully breathed life back into a pub allowed to languish after covid. The menu is varied but not fussy. The quality of the crispy haddock and chips and the burger option was top notch. The staff were friendly, efficient and went the extra mile with an impressive touch of cooling a white wine glass down with soda water. Pricing is fair for these times. Good atmosphere and surroundings. We will definitely be back and happy to recommend a try.

Well! Looking for a fantastic, fulsome Sunday lunch? We found it today. This is the first time we’ve eaten at the Four Bells in Woodborough but it won’t be the last. Straightforward choices…chicken, beef, pork and a vegetarian option with plenty of vegetables, lovely crispy roast potatoes, a huge Yorkshire pudding and a delicious cauliflower cheese as a side; the gravy just set everything off. There was plenty of beef and chicken, almost too much-no one opted for for the pork or the vegetarian option. In fact, the meal was so big, no one could face the pudding, but I have to say they looked gorgeous! If anyone is looking for an excellent, tasty meal, well -served and well -presented, at a sensible price, head to the Four Bells at Woodborough! You will not be disappointed!

Booked a table for 7pm. Starter and main courses ordered for 7:10. Starter arrived promptly enough but we waited an hour and half for the main course! Only one apology received with a promise of only another five minute wait. We waited another 15 minutes before asking for the bill for the starter and walking out. No apology offered. Many places would have at least offered an apology, a complimentary drink/dessert and some sort of explanation but we got the impression the staff were relieved to see us go! We won’t be back in a hurry!

Very friendly staff and a great pub atmosphere

Only been open a couple of weeks with new owners. Great selection of beers (including neck oil), very friendly staff, nice decor and overall a lovely atmosphere…. Dogs and kids welcome 😀 what more does one need? Oh. Except for food, but apparently the kitchen will open on the forth coming weeks.

Salmon meal chosen. Salmon was nicely done and hot but seasonal vegetables broccoli carrots were blanched at best and extremely undercooked. Sea bass dish although the fish itself was very nice the accompaniment of corgettes was swimming in oil and resulted in making the fish soggy. Both dishes were an expensive disappointment. A burger was ordered with a side dish of onion rings. Arrived minus the onion rings but bill was charged with them. Surroundings were nice but unsure the food could be called the same. Advice is to enjoy a drink but skip the food.
