Such a lovely little pub, with a gorgeous view, really friendly staff and the food was absolutely fantastic!! someone was playing fantastic songs as well we shazamed every single one 😭 A genuinely lovely place to go i could not reccoment it more :] A great place for a date, families or just for a drink with a nice atmosphere, thank you!

Had a nice meal served by the amazing Courtney. Great atmosphere and will come again. The food was cooked perfectly and reasonably priced.

Pre booked a table, but no one there to greet us and take us to our table, we had to search for it, for which we were unable to find. After sitting and after ordering food, we then waited 40 mins to be told that the beef was no longer available. Had had to have chicken instead. When arrived the food was not fresh but frozen, and the mash was from a packet. No one told us where the cutlery was, and we had to search for then, one station was totally empty. I expected more from this venue.

Nice easy place to go for no fuss food. Yes the place could do with a bit of TLC but the staff are great, the food is good and the prices are decent. Laura in particular was a great hostess.

today i met a lovely lady called kerry, her amazing daughter was selling cakes for charity. very nice! food was brilliant, very friendly place and dog friendly with a great view

This was my first time visiting the Ferry Boat Inn today, had a wonderful lady Kerry serve us and made our time here extremely enjoyable and pleasant! Great family environment and the food was lovley. Highly recommend. Will be coming again 💯

Decent food at a good price if you don't mind waiting. I stood in a queue for 10 mins, got to the front and was told I needed to be in a different queue, joined that for 15 mins before being able to order food, which took 45 mins to arrive.

It’s been ages since I’ve just spent an afternoon in a pub and had dinner too. Can’t ask for more at the Ferry Boat Inn, great staff, great attitude, great food and a really relaxing place to while away an afternoon with friends. We all had various items from the menu, service was very quick and the quality of the food was excellent, how do they do it for the price? Great ales too, there was nothing to not like. Being on the riverside is a huge bonus, thank you to all the team for making us - and dogs - feel so welcome.

I came here Sunday afternoon with friends for food and drinks. The food was outstanding and drinks made to perfection. It was very busy, used plates still on tables which is understandable and cleaned right away when asked. All Staff were friendly and attentive, I was served at the bar by a girl named Abby and I don’t think I’ve laughed so much, a credit to your team she is fabulous. I will be back.

This place is a shambles. I walked in and the majority of tables were empty but full with dirty crockery, plates and cups. Lots of staff walking around and not clearing the tables at all. Environment was not friendly at all and staff were dismissive. I also witnessed a lovely gentlemen be told to leave because of his elderly pet parrot due to a complaint. The parrot was not causing a problem whatsoever, it didn’t make noise, was not flying around or causing a disruption but was still asked to leave. The ‘supervisor/manager’ was clearly undertrained and had no idea what to do with the situation. She admitted she did not have all of the details of the complaint but he still had to leave, which in order to handle a complaint you need all the details first. The pub is supposed to be pet friendly but this was a clear discrimination against this gentleman. I spoke with him after this to see if he was okay and found out that he is a regular customer at the venue which I find shocking that this is the way he was treated. Me and my group left immediately and did not provide any business with them due to the treatment of their regular customers. Other people in the venue were also upset about this situation and how it was handled. Absolutely shocking behaviour.

Just spend my afternoon here and can’t complement the staff enough. Came out for pub lunch as the weather has been so nice and I think everyone else did too because the pub was packed, that being said the service was still amazing. Must admit it is impressive to see a pub that busy and still not slip on quality, not surprising I guess as the general manager didn’t stop running around the place like a one (wo)man army! I will be back.

Great place to stop off for a drink or grab a good value meal 🍺 The food is good and there’s a wide selection of things to choose from - the sizzlers plates are always a good option! The only thing that lets this place down is the people who allow their children to run around screaming in peoples faces - I know this can’t be helped by the staff but it was very off putting so we moved table to a quieter part of the pub. Would recommend and the scenery is lovely 🦆

Had a really good visit to The Ferry Boat today. Was served by the friendly manager Courtney. Ordered food and drinks for lunch. Food came very promptly. We took my ninety one year old mum last Friday, and we were all really impressed by the lovely restaurant, setting and staff from the minute we entered. Mum ordered her " Fish on Friday", a tradition in the family from generations ago. I have worked out mum has probably eaten over 4600 fish dinners over the years and she says this was the best fish ever! I tried a bit and it was gorgeous! Our meals were lovely too. We were looked after by Kerry and as mum said she was the "icing on the cake" She truly was so lovely and friendly. We enjoyed it so much, we are planning to go again today.

Great visit to the Ferry Boat in for lunch today. There were 3 adults and 5 kids from 1-10 years we were all catered for and the staff couldn't do enough to help. We went early so it would be quiet and it was great to have the soft play to ourselves to run off steam before sitting down for the meals, which were fresh and delicious. Thank you for having our roudy bunch!

Great pub with lovely welcoming staff. The food is quickly served and tastes great , good value for money. Theyre dog friendly too which is great for me and my pooch , the staff made a fuss of my dog too which he enjoyed. Lovely views of the river and the pub itself felt clean and inviting.

Great pub with spot on location with the river Trent along side it. The view was amazing sat looking out the window eating our meal. Staff were very friendly couldn’t do enough for us. Food was very good and the prices are very affordable. Great selection of beers to choose from. Will definitely be returning again real soon.

Marie and Kerry are fantastic at their jobs. Such a happy place to visit always up for a laugh and a joke. Food is great. A nice Moonraker boat visits in the summer and is a lovely sight.

Absolutely amazing food as always! I went for the £5 curry and it was beautiful! A massive shout out to all the staff, 1 staff member that stood out from the rest was Courtney, she came over and cleaned the table straight away. She had taken my order and then came to check everything was okay. Thanks folks!

Lovely fresh food as always, calm and relaxing environment. I visited with my mum and the team were just as welcoming as they always are - Courtney and Maria from front of house are brilliant. Been here on a few occasions Staff friendly and helpful Stayed in our camper overnight waking up to beautiful crisp views Had a full English breakfast, very tasty! And accompanied by Yorkshire Tea!! Yay… only the best! Last visit was in the summer- took some stunning photos but the frosty morning view is amazing! We will of course be back again! Definitely recommend!

The ferry boat is a fantastic place. Theyre dog freindly which is great and they made a big fuss of dog which was lovely. The food was nice and tasty and quickly served. The staff were kind and friendly very welcoming. The views of the river are stunning and the pub looks nice and clean. Will definitely return.

Had been here loads of times in the past and always had a positive experience. But in September I had fish and chips and ended up getting nasty food poisoning from it had never been so ill in my life.

Lovely place in a quiet location, perfect for a little food and drink, or a family get together. Recommended to all!

Just had a meal at ferry boat today - we eat here occasionally as the kids love the soft play. Usually I think it’s quite basic but the staff always try hard. I can honestly say we had the nicest meal today from the super Saturdays menu. Definitely better than usual and kids enjoyed their food too. Staff were really helpful and got extra cheese for my daughter! Thank you ferry boat.

Courtney was the best server we have ever had she brought out hot food and was so nice to the kids even when they are hard to deal with.

Me and my young children went to Ferry boat on Christmas day. I booked this late but would like to say Courtney was helpful throughout the booking and on the day! Brilliant service. Food was nice , my sons meal had to be changed (through no fault if Ferry boat at all) the staff were quick , attentive and polite throughout the visit. So thank you to all of you!

It was a disappointment regarding the Christmas Day meal I booked for three at The Ferry Boat Inn establishment. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations, especially considering the £170 we paid in advance. We were looking forward to a special Christmas experience, but the atmosphere and preparation did not meet the festive standard we anticipated. Upon arrival, the table was very basic for the occasion, and the ambiance lacked the warmth and cheer one would expect for such an event. The food, while acceptable, was far from impressive. The turkey appeared processed rather than freshly carved, and staples like pigs in blankets were noticeably absent. The desserts we ordered remained unfinished due to their lack of quality. Although I expected the restaurant to be busy on Christmas Day, it was surprisingly quiet—a possible indicator that others shared a similar sentiment. For the price charged, the experience was undeniably overpriced and disappointing. This was my first visit to the Ferryboat Inn, and my last.

We went for a family Christmas meal and really enjoyed ourselves. We pre-booked off the Festive Menu, the table was laid out and decorated with table cloth and crackers and the food was delicious with big portions. The staff were very friendly and checked in on us regularly, taking drinks orders and asking if we wanted a break or the next course firing. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed ourselves, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nice family Christmas meal out, that won't break the bank.

Went to ferry boat on the 6th December for a few beers service and staff are great, would like to point out the Christmas decorations look fabulous,the best I have seen it for a long time. Courtney the managers puts her heart and soul into this establishment and the results are very visible well done ill be back maybe for food next time as the meals looked delicious.

We attended on 23 November 24 for a family Christmas meal, the booking process was easy and accessible, the pub was decorated beautifully for Christmas, table was set beautifully, we attended with a dog and staff were more than happy to accommodate and moved the decorations to a table of our choice. We originally booked for 6, but had a last minute addition, staff more than happy to accommodate this and gave us plenty of options of food. Food was piping hot, well presented, very tasty and served at our pace. Excellent service from all the staff team, who all created a lovely welcoming atmosphere and offered treats for the dog! The food and drinks were good value for money and would highly recommend

I recently had Sunday dinner with my brother, nephew, and great nephews at the Ferry Boat Inn. The food was very well priced and the food itself was prepared brilliantly. The service from all the staff was impeccable and they were wonderfully friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was congenial and I felt very safe and secure in the fact that I could fully relax and enjoy myself with my other family members. The facilities for the children were fantastic and my great nephews could play freely and safely either outside in the play-park of the back garden or in the tumble-town area indoors. I and my brother will certainly return soon. Overall a great experience and great value for money.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Ferryboat Inn, all staff members were great but our experience wouldn't have been the same without Courtney. Her service to our large group was outstanding. She was warm, welcoming and extremely efficient.

Fantastic Sunday dinner for the price and lovely puddings. The people working there were so polite and friendly very nice experience for my Dad's 75th Birthday weekend. Only downfall was the toilets smelt and was some rubbish on the floor. Apart from that great place. Maybe just needed checking more frequently. Lovely location and views, and a walk along the river afterwards.

For the first time coming here I have to say food and service was amazing , Kerry was fabulous and treated us like family I would definitely come again.

Having not been here for a while (not terribly impressed last time) we decided to give it another try, and found it much improved. Excellent value meals at £6 Mon to Fri, so suited us ideally for tea after school. Accommodating in increasing the size of a starter meal to a main meal. Superb 'no meat' burger, again accommodating the change from fries to extra salad. Excellent staff serving us - the only criticism being - it was cold. People keeping their coats on, one family near us did complain. Otherwise, back on our 'to try again' list.

Great food, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is in a great location as you can look out over the river while you eat or take a walk before or after your meal!

The food was very disappointing to be honest. The steaks were not cooked to how we asked, we have x4 full minty mix grills. The sauages were even under cooked or over done between the 4 plates and the chicken was so dry. The eggs where over cooked, fast cooked to high actually because the white underneath was crusty and hard and the 11oz steak tasted funny and was sent back and changed to mix it up chicken which was much better. We went as a family get together of 11. I was so very disappointed 😞 The service was good all the staff are lovely but the food let the whole situation down. The meal came to over £200 😩

I am a regular customer here at the ferry boat and it's always great. The staff are friendly and efficient the foods nice and tasty. The ferry boat has a great atmosphere with lovely views of the river.

Always find the staff here very polite. Efficient food service (Sundays). Usually go once every other month, stay around 2hrs maximum. Small soft play great for under 8's. Out door park suitable for ~11 and under. Can pre book a table online. Cheap and cheerful.

Courtney as always went above and beyond and made us all especially my 4 and a half year old daughter feel very welcome. Food was lovely and served quickly considering how busy it was . Great portion sizes. Drinks were nice and we had a very tasty ipa that my dad really liked. Pub was clean and the play area was great for keeping my daughter entertained. She even made a new friend. Will definately return

Have been coming back here again regularly over the summer of 2024 and it's been brilliant, staff are friendly and efficient. Courtney is always welcoming and brings a ray of sunshine to the bar. There's various deals every day of the week and the food is food value for money. Visited again Oct 23 and couldn't have been better, quick service, good food, fair prices. Unfortunately on this occasion there was a 45 minute wait between starters and main course, the chicken was cold, the pastry case on the meat pie was still raw and there was a mix up with the drinks. The table staff were friendly and helpful but the bar staff member just made excuse after excuse rather than offer an apology which would have been readily accepted. Couldn't fault on this occasion, fantastic food, brilliant service, Miquie and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Very Covid safe. Will definitely be going again.
