Beautiful fresh fish as always. Scallops were excellent. The poached egg was seconds away from perfection, but it was ok.

Can't fault anything! Food was piping hot when it arrived and portion sizes are very big!

Visited larch farm today for a Sunday roast for the first time. Unfortunately we were all very disappointed, food was barely warm, watery gravy, smash not mash potato, over cooked frozen vegetables, potatoes barely roasted and the beef was from a packet. None of the meal had any flavour. Needless to say we won’t be back again.

Staff ignorant when told I had not reserved a table. Thursday 12:30. Offered no alternative. Went elsewhere will not revisit or book

Brilliant service. Delicious food. Lovely venue We were part of a huge family Easter Sunday get together and we had our own separate area. The food was delicious and even though we ordered separately, it arrived on good time and together. The servers did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. We didn't feel we were being rushed to leave. Thank you Larch Farm, you are our new favourite.

Really good quality food. Portions are just about right I'd say. Prices are quite reasonable I'd say as well, no wonder it's always very busy. I would suggest booking in advance as it's clearly very popular. Plenty of parking and an easily accessible entrance.

Fish. It was the first thing that hits you as you walk through the door. Try some. It is good. The font on the allergies is way too small to be of any use. Suggest they make it bigger.

Had fish&chips, waitress brought them to the table, get this, actually had scissors and cut the vinegar tablets off thus saving time trying to open the damaged things, lovely warm chips would other restaurants take note well done larch

Been going every week for a number of years now and have never been disappointed yet,quallity of food excellent and the staff are very friendly and competent.

I had prawn cocktail then fish and chips and a lemon cake with custard it was all delicious staff friendly and the place is very cosy and I loved the Dustin decor

Love this place , never had a bad meal and staff can't do enough for you , it's a lovely building lots of bits and bobs to look at , its a busy place , tables are near each other , so can get a bit noisy if parties are booked in , but all in all it's great , prices are reasonable it gets a big thumbs up from me haha 😆

Good food at good prices good atmosphere service was great

Went for dinner here last night. The pie I had was the best I've had in a while. Not so keen on the chips, but they weren't awful, just not my preferred style. My partner had the veggie curry and said it was good. The place is interestingly decorated and very pleasant. Beer was good, but a bit on the safe side when it comes to options. It was busy on a Tuesday evening, which is a good sign. Overall very good and will definitely be returning.

I saw their ads, they said that they provide products from their farms, but in fact, I left without believing it. But they had great, fresh, quality food. I loved it very much. Even though we are 20 miles apart, I think about going there every week. The staff was also very friendly.

One of the best restaurants for food, service, ambience. Big variety of fresh, amazing prepared and outstanding delicious fish. The high standards are consistently maintained throughout all our visits. Wide choice of gluten free opinions. Speciality boards highly recommended. Sweet cabinet full of homemade deserts.

Just had an excellent meal at Larch farm pub,I can highly recommend the homemade pie of the day and my wife enjoyed scampi meal the ladies who brought our meals out couldn't do enough to make our visit rememberable and will definitely be back for round two.

Best fish and chips, deserts are amazing, reasonably priced food for the area, staff are lovely.

Disgusting food .. service even worse. Not by waitress, she was lovely..behind the bar and taking orders ..no customer service..Rude, 🤬 no manners...in the wrong job,and apparently he was the manager! Disgraceful! Never back !

Excellent Sunday lunch. Amazing fish and seafood platter that I really should have shared. Delicious. Excellent prices, obviously popular place. My wife had a roast and with 1½ pints of Abbot, it still came to less than £40.

Really disappointing, the fish and chips are usually so good, however, on our visit this month the chips looked and tasted as though they had been warmed up from very much earlier . The barmaid asked if all was ok , we told her the chips were. really not good so no fuss she took them away to change them . All they did was warm up same chips. Still awful very disappointing, chips need to be fresh and hot not soft soggy Fish good

My husband and I went for an unbooked lunch so of course we were fully aware it may be busy and we may have to wait a little while, no issue there at all. Upon walking in, we were unsure as to what to do in terms of seating ourselves, waiting to be seated etc. This was our first visit after all. We noticed a host post, went over and waited but unfortunately we were never spoken to, asked if we were OK, with staff walking by/around us, tending to others, we felt invisible! So after a little while we then approached the bar area where we basically got the same. While I totally understand that people are working and tending to other diners, there was absolutely no acknowledgement of our presence what so ever, from anyone, not even just someone to say "someone will be with you in a moment". After standing there uncomfortably for a few more minutes, my husband then went and stood directly infront of someone who was behind the bar and asked politely, "what do we do, do we seat ourselves or wait to be shown?" And without even looking up or making any eye contact with him, she just said, "there's no tables free in here so you will have to sit out there if there are any seats, which I don't think there is" and with that, she nudged her head to indicate to her left, and just carried on doing whatever she was doing. We completely understand when it's busy, I've personally worked in hospitality myself for many years so I get it, but to not acknowledge a potential customers, to not even give them the common curtesy to look up when you speak to them, or even give a smile when you walk by, is extremely rude! From the first minute we walked in, we felt pretty invisible and we left straight the way after the bar interaction (or lack of) and both said that we won't be trying there again. I hate leaving bad reviews. I feel like when someone has worked hard to build up their business, a couple of bad reviews can make an impact, but somewhere like that is supposed to feel welcoming. I really hope by leaving this honest review, that maybe a lesson can be learned and create a better experience for future customers.

We went Larch Farm for the first time in a while for fish and chips for 20 pounds ,the host lady was really nice and welcoming but the meal wasnt't great it looked like the chips had been warmed up the fish was nice but had the skin still on ,we were asked if the meal was ok by the host and if it was warm enough which seemed quite odd ,we should've said about the chips but it should've come right first time.The menus looked dated and the tables the same.I don't think we will be returning anytime soon.

Had funeral wake held here Nothing too much trouble for staff all very friendly and helpful whicj always helps in these circumstances. The buffet was excellent quality all fresh and lovely selection. Thankyou.

We visited around 3pm and managed to just get a dog friendly table ( there are around 10 tables ) - we had 2 mixed grills and they were fantastic- quality produce and cooked to perfection- the rump melted in my mouth - the chips are excellent quality ( not the usual stodgy frozen rubbish ) and the new potatoes were as always perfect We added scampi as this is always big and tasty … definitely a meal I would recommend

This is always my go to place for meeting my friends for breakfast. Food is always good, and staff super friendly you can't go wrong! Iv also booked for a Sunday lunch which again was definitely worth it

Our group of six adults dined here after pre-booking a table. Venue very popular even on a Wednesday. Good choice of menus including 2 mains for £19.99 and one for Golden Years. Good portions and tasty food with pleasant unhurried service.

Driven past this place several times. Then my son booked a table for my birthday meal. Lovely atmosphere,great food and nice staff. What more can you ask? We liked it so much that my husband and I have returned this week for mid week lunch .

Me and my husband called for lunch we hadn't booked the waitress found us a table which we had to vacate by 1.45 was plenty time for us to order our food didnt have to wait long for fish and chips which was hot and best we.ve had for a long time

Me and my family went to larch farm on Saturday the 30th of December (I've only written my review now because I have been busy).On arival we were seated by a friendly waitress as we sat down we realized this would be an amazing place to eat at We started our meal with drinks (while we were at the bar we ordered our food) I had a tea they also gave a complementary mint chocolate (which is better than most restaurants giving cheap shortbread ). It was pre brewed which saved time I put in my milk and sugar and took a sip and it was delicious. I stepped outside for a glance at the outside scenery for about 2 minutes when I stepped back in our food was already there! Which is amazing as I was hungry and didn't want to wait that long. I had the pie of the day. As I began eating I poured the gravy and took a bite and it was the best pie I had ever eaten so juicy the pastry was crunchy and soft and the meat was tender because of the gravy and at that point I thought it couldn't get better... But it did I tried a chip the outside was crunchy while the inside was soft (in my opinion that way is the best way of making chips) i was amazed the vegetables were perfect . the best meal after 10 minutes mmms and yums I finished my meal For dessert I had a fudge cake my family thought that it would be small as of our previous experiences but I decided to go for it as my main could vouch for it.I ordered and waited about 2 minutes later it came.it was amazing it had 2 scoops of ice cream and a massive slice drizzled with chocolate sauce and half way through I hit the delicious fudge and it was the best cake. Truly an amazing place to eat

It is the third time now that we have been rushed to finish our meal to make way for the queue of people who obviously had not booked a table. We had booked and I was STILL EATING and yet was asked twice by members of staff if we has finished! We had been at the table 35 minutes from 12.30 . Shame on your management.

Iv tried some local restaurants recently and this is the best of the bunch. They sell Guinness 0% none alcohol, the food was really nice ,the service excellent, impressed with the price and layout plus Christmas decor. Definitely come here again.

Thank goodness for somewhere that allows a group to get together for a meal. We were a group of 11 for a family birthday. The food was quite good too.

Have been before during the day and loved the food decided to come back at night with some friends. Tried the fish board out for a change and the pan fried sea bass was absolutely amazing scallops were alright but I’ve never had them before. So I had nothing to compare them against. My Auntie who is gluten free and celiac had the fish and chips and I have never seen someone enjoy fish and chips so much, I will be going again.

We called in for a spare of the moment breakfast, lovely inside but the overwhelming smell of fried food/fish was off putting. Ordered two traditional breakfasts, bacon cooked only on onside and fatty, egg over cooked, grilled tomato was raw, hash brown greasy. Flat white coffee was very poor. Just shy of £20 not really worth it, wouldn’t go here again for breakfast!

me and my family visited larch farm last on Friday the 3rd of November round mid day and the service from the younger female staff was very poor. 1. Pub was quiet yet somehow we were stilling having to ask the waiter if they could bring out our food after we'd finished our starters ( food arrived 40 minutes later) 2. The waiter then brought over our food stating the food and said nothing else, she didn't ask if we needed any sauces etc.. so my girlfriend had to call her back to ask for ketchup. She went and got them and didn't bother handing it to any of us and just threw them onto the edge of the table and said nothing 3. Overall just poor service

It was very crowded, but the service was good. The food was tasty but was not hot. Waitress took plates back to the kitchen to be reheated. Good atmosphere and selection of drinks.

We're what you may call regulars at Larch Farm. The food and ale were excellent as per normal. The best Fish and Chips anywhere.

Booked a table yesterday for Sunday lunch at 3.00pm was very busy and a long queue at the bar to order. So we had to order our food/drink at the same time. Disappointed it not table service for our food. Our 3 Sunday Roasts came and was lukewarm did not taste freshly cooked. Cold plates we had half eaten it and was then asked if everything was ok. We said NO the food is lukewarm. She then took it away and put it in the microwave! Very unexceptable. The flavours were bland and we were not impressed will not be returning.

Having not eaten at Larch Farm for many years, I was recommended to try it by a friend. So me n mi dad went on Saturday for some lunch, and was very pleasantly surprised. The whole thing from start to finish was fabulous, the staff were very friendly, we managed to get a table even though we hadn't actually booked. The menu was very extensive, with a special offer on, as well as a lite bite menu, with smaller portions, which was perfect for my dad. We both ordered, I had scampi, dad had poached haddock with parsley sauce, both dishes were very tasty. Thanks Larch Farm.....we will definitely be back xxxx

We had a dinner time meal deal of two for £20 and I have to say it was just brilliant! They were really busy and we hadn't booked but they managed to find us a table, my wife had the fish and chips and I had pie chips peas and gravy. Both were excellent and the service was spot on. I would recommend booking just to make sure you get a table.

Eat here a lot, but never been for breakfast. It was great, already planning our next visit.

To cater for a party of 20+ and to ensure that all meals were served within 5 minutes of each other and all piping hot and delicious is a credit to the manager, kitchen staff and waiting girls. 5 Stars from all of us.

The staff were very helpful. The portions were small for the price. Compared with other establishments. Also not much selection of real ales. This was disappointing as the pub itself is lovely.

Was expecting a really nice meal. Overall it was same as any other pub food. Cakes were not very nice at all tasted old. Kings Mill farm has amazing fresh cakes was expecting something like that. No they were inedible here dogs liked them

We live locally, and often have breakfast here with family. The staff are friendly & welcoming, the surroundings are clean & comfortable, the food is lovely. Highly recommended!

We called in for lunch as we were driving past. We asked if there was a table available The woman with dark hair in a long pony tail asked if we’d booked and we said no. She didn’t even look at us and said well if you haven’t booked I only have 2 tables and they are 6 seaters you’ll have to sit there. We both felt very un welcome and felt like we shouldn’t sit on the 6 table. It was quite embarrassing. It’s a shame because the food is lovely. If she doesn’t like people don’t work with people. Certainly not general public !!
