Good food and coffee; great value-for-money; open when you need it. Nice, clean place to relax and charge your batteries. Great asset to the community and visitors alike.

A fantastic small family run business. Lisa is fantastic and the food is even better. The cakes are incredible and I always buy more to take home.

We called in here for cakes and a drink after spotting it the week before and asking a local passerby if it was worth trying. She said yes, its not posh but its good and that was certainly good enough for us 😃 Unfortunately first impressions weren’t great as there was a very strong smell of grease as we entered. Trying not to let this put us off we chose a table and made our way to the counter where we were greeted by a lovely young lady. Things were definitely picking up now so we ordered our drinks and chose the delicious looking cherry and chocolate cake. Cappuccino and hot chocolate with all the eagerly anticipated toppings were brought over to us, shortly followed by the cake. Yes, we all need to watch our calorie intake but this was the thinnest slice of cake I’ve ever been served. It must have been tricky to cut so miserly without it breaking up so I can only assume that it is a well practised technique. Our drinks were just warm enough to drink and of poor quality with the hot chocolate powder glooped at the bottom of the cup so little of it flavoured the drink. As we consumed our “treats” the cafe filled with smoke and a member of the staff propped the door open to clear this meaning the customers were all freezing cold. It was February after all. A lady on another table that was in direct line of the icy blast eventually closed it much to the relief of us all. We heard another of her group call over to the staff that one of her items was so overcooked that she couldn't bite into it and declined their suggestion that they would replace the charred offering that we couldn't identify. As we left we looked over to say our goodbyes. We were ignored by all of the staff. Safe to say that we wont be making a return visit to a place that could offer so much more in the lovely village of Ravenshead. Underwhelmed is the best word to describe our experience.

Despite the atmosphere in the café being warm and welcoming, the coffee was quite odd with oat milk and the food left lots to be desired. However, it’s very popular and is obviously a great amenity for Ravenshead locals to have.

A strange place. The coffee and food is pretty poor and the staff are either quite weird, or extremely rude. I heard an employee tell a customer to "Go and f**k yourself". Absolutely awful!

Dear Rose's Pantry Thank you for a delightful breakfast at Rose's! All the staff were really helpful and friendly, serving delicious food and hot drinks on/in pretty crockery (especially the teapot 😊) From three satisfied customers

Having visited this café a number of times, the customer service often leaves a lot to be desired. Despite the young members of staff being friendly and welcoming, the older lady I believe to be the proprietor, lets the place down. Her response to customers arriving is to either look away or ignore any 'hellos', and upon leaving, no 'thank you' or similar farewell is evident. The establishment is popular and the food appears good, although I haven't eaten there. It's well situated in the shopping centre but again, the attitude of the proprietor affects the customer experience. She should follow the example set by her lovely staff.

The cream tea is gorgeous! The place is lovely and clean. The staff wonderful. Relaxing afternoon. Easy to get to and the parking is close. Good value for money. Not a very big place but has outside seating if going with more than 2 people.

My friend and I visit this place about once a fortnight. It has been taken over by new owners/management recently, and the menu has changed - cooked breakfasts are now served until noon (breakfasts weren't served at all before). No main meals now (they used to serve chilli con carne, shepherd's pie, pie and chips, etc). I had a (tiny) jacket potato for £5. A slice of cake is now £4.25 a slice!! The cakes aren't even fresh or baked on the premises. We're going to go to Sprinters instead in future.

Met 3 friends after work for dinner, as we’ve done times before over the last few years, table was pre booked weeks before for 4 people. The Hutts always been a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere with good food. On arrival place wasn’t busy but there were no staff to welcome/ seat us. When a staff member did approach us they struggled to locate our table on the computer, then tried to seat us at a very small table set for 3, stating they would find us another chair, where the other chair would have been placed would have meant it was touching another chair of the couple seated at the table behind. We asked for a different table and were asked to go get a drink at the bar whilst they located one. After approximately 10 minutes the same staff member came to us at the bar and asked if we were the party waiting for a table, it seemed like she couldn’t remember us from 10 minutes earlier, but we were showed to a much larger table with more room. Previous experience of the Hutt has been warm and efficient, last night was out of character for this venue and we were a little concerned about the rest of our visit. When seated however, we had a young male waiter called Charlie serve us, he smiled a lot and was warm in his manner, which could not be said for any of the other staff on duty. Charlie was attentive and hospitable and could not do enough for us. When we finished our meal and paid at the end of the evening we thanked him for his service, Charlie disclosed he had only been at the establishment for six days, thank goodness he has been employed into the team, because he is a real asset to the establishment. He definitely turned the experience of our visit around. Had he not been our waiter we probably would be looking at somewhere else to go closer to our workplaces to meet up in the future.
