Best place for a beer in Bakewell. No question and worth the short walk. Stylish and friendly, the Jaipur was a characterful beer and the pizza was very good too.

We dropped into The Lime Lounge Coffee House during a visit our trip to Bakewell. The drinks were lovely and the Biscoff slice that me and my daughter brought was absolutely amazing! So much so we brought a slice each for the whole family to take home with us too! Everyone was super friendly and the coffee shop had a lovely welcoming vibe. Even the wall paper in the toilets had a positive vibe - loved that! We shall definitely return and recommend others stop by and check this place out!

We have stayed at the duke every other weekend from our first campervan adventure in February this year, we love it!! It's our happy place and there is nothing Bridget and the team wouldn't do to accommodate us, the campsite is lovely and the views are beautiful and the facilities are fantastic and clean, we love the pub with its lovely welcome, open fires and out of this world food !! We never want to stay anywhere else when visiting buxton/bakewell 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 looking forward to seeing Bridget and the team soon 🥰

Enjoyed afternoon tea at the Cavendish restaurant at Chatsworth house as a birthday treat. It’s expensive but it was exquisite. The venue is lovely. We had great service and at no time were we rushed. The choice of tea/ coffee is fantastic. Our server was happy to make recommendations on choices. All the food was delicious - from the soup starter to the exquisite cakes. A palette cleanser of Elderflower sorbet was delicious. Great choice of sandwiches and a delicious Welsh rarebit Bon Bon. Warm scones, jam & cream. We all enjoyed the afternoon tea very much in beautiful surroundings.

So good we went back the following night! The food was lovely but mostly it was the staff that made the place. They were friendly, made us feel welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. I booked based on reviews having never been there before and it was so good we booked and went back the following night. Highly recommend. All our meals were really nice and great choice and value for money. I would recommend booking! If I’m in the area I’ll be back!

Disappointing, that's the word that comes to mind. Very busy, clearly well liked, fish was cooked OK and the sausage was tasty BUT I've never had chips that taste of nothing before. We couldn't understand it, maybe it was brand new oil, but they tasted of nothing, almost as if they were fried in water. And the less said about the mushy peas the better. Overall not what we were expecting.
