Flying visit on our way home from the game. All the food was hot and we got served very quickly even though it was very busy.

Lovely roast dinner, staff were friendly. We were served by the lovely Thea who was really good with our little girl! Thankyou so much 😊

Visited the Wheatsheaf for our annual lunch - it’s a bit of a drive from where we live, but well worth it. The staff are, as always, welcoming and professional, and make time to help you decide which of their wonderful food offerings to choose. We both had the Wheatsheaf Smokie for lunch - fantastic! Would visit more regularly if we lived closer but, for now, we’re happy with this annual treat x

Very disappointing, slow service, food only warm, not hot. Tough, fatty lamb. It should have been a special 70th birthday meal. We won't be returning.

Great pub! I had an excellent Sunday Lunch. Great Ales and wines served by hospitable friendly staff. Best pub in a 5.95km radius

After a long drive back home after a nice family weekend away, we stopped off for a rest bite and to freshen up. Upon entry asked the bar maid if we could use the lavatory, was told yes, and was helpfully pointed in the right direction. Upon returning however my old and disabled mother was set up on, what could only be described as an awful, spiteful, vicious bar prop, who thought it right to treat passer bys in the most awful and disgusting manner. Which is a shame, as we WAS going to stop for a hot drink potentially. But after the most rude women I've ever come across had verbally ASSULTED, us, only to also be Proved wrong by the bar maid about her VILE attack, we thought best of staying on, and just carried on home. Truly awful despicable customers ruining what was hoped to be a nice stop off, wouldn't recommend any outsiders stopping off her, seems to be expected that it's a "local pub, for local people".

Great food and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Great location. Would definitely come here again when we are in the area.

Qué gran lugar, amable, increíble para comer y beber con amigos y familiares. El almuerzo fue encantador, nuestra primera vez visitando La Bretaña después de ser recomendado a nosotros. No podía fallar. Bienvenida, ambiente, y el servicio era genial con el propietario siendo muy atento. Preciosa decoración y alrededores, excelente comida a precios razonables, de un menú muy extenso. Sin duda volveremos. Gracias.

To be expected there are always going to be people, especially students, that are disrespectful and feel the need to lash out through leaving bad reviews but I’ve come here with friends for years and I, and none of my friends, have ever had a problem. The staff are fair, understanding and absolute gem’s. Good people, people who come here never stop coming back and it’s no wonder why! ❤️ Ps. They’re also dog friendly

I used to eat here English breakfast 2 years ago, and it was great. Moved away a but now I took my parents here for their first English breakfast. Anyway, quality went really bad compared to then I used to come. Bacon and eggs overdone, tomato not done enough and I had to asked for the table to be cleared but it didn't involve wiping it with a cloth.

When asking if they do anything gluten free they were very rude and dismissive. Fair enough if u dont but no need to be so rude and unhelpful. I dont choose to be gluten intolerant and possibly coeliac my body cant cope with it and causes alot of pain and discomfort.

Ordered multiple pizzas including 2x margaritas, one with olives on and one as standard. They sent two with olives on. They didn't care, no option to resolve. Was embarrassing as I recommended the place. Not using you again, morons.

Got the order wrong, delivered mushroom rice Intead of Beef with mushroom, used them weekly for years , had enough of their nonsense! Bye bye 😡Also the price changes every week, cash only😂
