Marine Fish & Chips in Charnwood

When asking if they do anything gluten free they were very rude and dismissive. Fair enough if u dont but no need to be so rude and unhelpful. I dont choose to be gluten intolerant and possibly coeliac my body cant cope with it and causes alot of pain and discomfort.

Disappointed because items where missing from order and the two didn't understand English very well, not going to apologise as this is an accurate review of the shop.

Ordered food tonight at 7:55pm app said delivery 35-50 mins at 9:30 pm rang to see where my food was, was told it hadn't left the shop due to delivery driver issue (which is understandable) was told it would be half an hour!!!! At 10:30 the food still hasn't arrived, shop not answering the phone !!!! Ridiculous I can understand being delayed but at least contact your customer to tell them!!!

Waited 20 minutes for a cheese and tomato baguette… granted the baguette was freshly cooked but still not great. No butter…I asked for ‘some’ mayo! Not the entire bottle. Avoid this place…. Waste of £5

August 24. chicken portions and the chips were really nice. Better than nearby chip shops in my opinion. Only been there 3 times though. All good 👍

Now serve breakfast items. Bacon n tomato crusty cob £3.30, 4 thick pieces of smokey bacon cooked just right, way better than the village bakery.

Ordered 2 x fish and chips here on Friday. I was impressed with the other offerings (fried chicken, fish pakoras, naan kebabs with really good looking meat fillings, onion rings) and will be trying these in future. Unfortunately the fish and chips was far from excellent. The chips were average at best, a bit hard and lacking in flavour. But the curry sauce was great and the fish itself was clearly good quality, x large haddock portions that were fresh, nice and thick, and cooked perfectly. The skin was left on (fine) but was completely covered in scales (not fine). I think most people would prefer their fish without skin, but if you want to keep it on you have to make sure they are scalled at a minimum. If they sort this out, it would have been fairly decent. I hope they read this and sort it out.

Just had kebab and chips on a Sunday evening...well, usually very good and merits 5 stars..but tonight rubbish! Last nights chips warmed up and kebab second best👎

We ordered a burger meal... when ordering you didn't have a choice of full salad so the burger came with only onion on and no salad at all. We also ordered cod and mushy peas. The cod was definitely not cod and the peas hadn't even been warmed up....they were literally straight out the time, stone cold in a tub and delivered to us. I'd never order again

Just went in ordered a fish and chips, I live 3mins walking from here, y is the inside of the fish completely cold and under cooked jus falling apart batter is still wet in parts. I have been back and now are closed, There is no number to call them either. This is unacceptable the chips are hard too.
