To be expected there are always going to be people, especially students, that are disrespectful and feel the need to lash out through leaving bad reviews but I’ve come here with friends for years and I, and none of my friends, have ever had a problem. The staff are fair, understanding and absolute gem’s. Good people, people who come here never stop coming back and it’s no wonder why! ❤️ Ps. They’re also dog friendly

This is a very friendly and welcoming pub. The landlord is great and really friendly and will do his utmost to welcome all friendly customers; and remove customers who create a hostile and unwelcoming atmosphere, therefore making the pub a better place full of great people

Went in there tonight 10/11/21, The 3rd time since moving to the area, The Landlord refused to sever myself and my partner as he said, he heard that I used his name at the local Chinese, to get discount, lol I do not know his name, as he never speaks to anyone, I went into the Chinese last night and started speaking Chinese as I lived in Hong Kong, ordered a load of dishes and asked for discount,,, The young lad gave my partner a free calendar, But tonight he started shouting at me and would not let me speak,, and said until he finds out the truth he will not serve me,,, He was very aggressive towards me, and very over the top, If he is a proper Landlord he should go on customer service course,, and realise there is two side to every coin, And when he does finds out the truth,!! I will still never use the place again,,

Judgemental owner who picks and chooses which students to let in based on what sport they play, who they are friends with and first impressions. Double standards when it come to kicking people out and then “barring them for life” as some people will be let off whilst others will be shouted at and aggressively removed for doing very little wrong. Not worth your time, which is a shame as could be very successful as a pub in a student area if they were fair with everyone who enters. Avoid!!

I get to the pub at 7pm I turned up to the Paget to be greeted only by rudeness mainly from the bouncer sitting inside. I walk into the pub with the utmost respect and say hello to each of the people inside. Then I get wrongly told that I am barred from the Paget as apparently the bouncer kicked me out a couple weeks ago (I haven't been to the Paget in months). He wrongly accused me of being someone else by recognising me with a mask on. He then tells me to put my mask down and confirms that I am barred (which I am not) and proceeds to kick me out of the pub. I was not given a name of the person that was banned, he just judged me by how I looked, and made me feel uncomfortable which is not how I would have liked to be greeted upon arrival at the Paget. It was extremely rude especially as I have not had any prior issues with the Paget, and spoiled my evening. There are many nicer pubs around don't bother attending this one if you have the choice the owner is extremely rude and not a nice atmosphere.

After waiting outside the pub for 45min for it to open, my friends and I were turned away after the owner made assumptions based on our appearance. 5 of my friends and I were turned away based on the fact that we enjoy the sport of rugby. After the owner started casual conversation with us, and asked if we liked rugby, since we looked like rugby players, to which we replied yes. He then told us we would not be allowed entry as anyone who played, watched or was anyway associated with the sport of rugby or hockey was barred for life. I personally find it very disappointing, that a man can be so short sited that he will judge people based purely on a sport they enjoy. For the record only 3 of us played rugby on a causal level, and had no association to any proper club. He has decided to create this ban based on the poor behaviour of one or two individuals. Instead of banning individuals he has decided to ban the majority of a population. Very flawed logic to assume every person interested in a particular sport will behave exactly the same way. It’s a shame that a student pub can so openly be against the students.

Excellent service, friendly staff (including Clide the dog). Went in just for a couple one night and now I can't stop going back, brilliant little find and they are all so lovely and welcoming to everyone. WIll return soon!

A large group of us travel from around the country to get together between Christmas and New Year. We have traditionally been gathering here for many years as, when the students are at home it's quiet enough to accommodate our big group. When we found out there were new managers we hoped they would understand and help us continue our tradition and they actually bent over backwards for us. The place has been smartened up no end and there was a cosy lounge area with a roaring wood burner to add to the atmosphere. The beer is well kept and the choice was perfect for our group who enjoy a decent ale. The refurbishment of the kitchen wasn't finished yet but the management team were hugely apologetic and allowed us to order in take-away food meaning we could spend more time together with friends. We have all said how much we were appreciative of the amazing welcome and great hospitality we received. We will be back next year

Absolutely love going to this pub. Every time I drop by for a drink I always have a good time. Dave and Kim are absolutely lovely and really make an effort to make you feel at home when you go there.

Good to see a friendly new landlord at this pub and hopefully will encourage more locals as well as students to frequent it! We will definitely go back!

Our group of friends have been meeting here annually for the last 4 years and was concerned when I heard there was nee management but I need not have worried. They served our group of 22 a very reasonably priced carvery meal and were very attentive to us. We will be back next year

My business was pints, we had a good meeting, discussed many topics from Skydiver to San Miguel, recommend but bring back the Paget Burgers, best thing since Miley Cyrus swung on a wrecking ball. Paget = 10/10

I come here relatively frequently to meet and chat with Uni friends and this site provides nice friendly areas for groups of any size to meet and relax. No food but no problem as that's not what I'm after when I visit. The place is a nice local to relax in.

Came here on a Saturday night had a great time! Nice and friendly staff and a good vibe! Will be coming back!!

Called in on Friday night only to be told the management have decided to stop selling food !...gutted as best burgers and beer in the town.

For the third year running a large group of friends from around the country congregated here for a social evening together. We had checked with the pub months in advance and recently confirmed. 40 people enjoyed a very pleasant evening with good beer and friendly staff but we only found out they weren't serving food when we arrived. People had driven for a couple of hours planning to spend an evening together and, based on how good food had been in previous years most were likely to order some food but had to leave to find food elsewhere before returning. Why didn't they call our organiser to let him know beforehand? I live the venue and the good beer but we were badly let down this year. I have to admit that maybe we had a lucky escape? Upon visiting the ladies I was horrified at the dire standard of cleanliness. I have not seen toilets as abysmal as this for a very long time. Why are they not cleaned?

I love the Dutty Fries, (chips, pulled pork cheese and spicy ketchup) and they are back to as good as they have ever been. Beer is as good as you will find in Loughborough.

Llega a las 12:00 horas, el pub no abre hasta las 12:15 pm cuando debería haber inaugurado a las 12:00, sin explicación o disculpas de personal. Pedir comida y nos dijeron que la comida no se sirven para otros 15 - 20 minutos! De todos modos todos ordenados ya que no teníamos tiempo para encontrar otro lugar para comer. Fuimos por la oferta que anuncian en su sitio (que aún se viven ahora mismo 30 / 06 / 2017) y nos dijeron que no, que no ofrecen, que ofrecen no es!

We had a good evening at The Paget Arms. Service was friendly and the recommendations excellent. Great burgers and local beer. Friendly atmosphere and well worth a visit. Only drawback was a slightly underdone patty, otherwise 5 stars.

Visited for the first time on Tuesday. Nice Victorian pub. Warm welcome from friendly staff. Good choice of burgers to try - can recommend the pulled pork with apple sauce! Will be back to try some of the others!!

Probamos el Paget después de una recomendación. No podía llegar por el ajetreo estacionado. Encontramos un espacio al final de la carretera y dando vueltas. Entramos y nos dieron una amable hola, cogí una mesa de altura, abrió una ficha y ordenados. Hamburguesas eran magníficas, cerveza excelente. No vienen para disfrutar de una comida de cinco estrellas, la comida es lo suficientemente bueno para eso, pero es a veces divertido pub, juegos de mesa y cerveza. Me encantó.

El Paget es un sitio que solía visitar mucho después de mudarnos a loughborough, pero después de mi último par de visitas no pensaré volver. Visitó esta semana con mi amigo después de trabajar, bastante concurrida pero los dos chicos se paraba detrás del bar estaban charlando y ninguna prisa en servir a la gente. Cuando me conseguí mi vino servido en un vaso sucio, pedi que se cambiaron a rolling ojos. Una vez que nos sentamos todos podríamos aquí fue insultos del personal de cada uno, y que esta F F. Decidimos no comer y fuimos y probamos satisfacer Burger! Es una lástima que solía ser un pub!

This pub is a really nice, small, pub. The food is really nice, especially the burgers and has a wide range of choice, something suitable for everyone. There is also a good selection of beers.

Paget es mi local, y un auténtico placer cada vez que visite. La comida aquí es genial, y muy bien de precio. Siempre hay un gran ambiente. El personal del bar genial, Marshal se filtra una gran pinta de Guinness y Joe es siempre muy acogedor y un buen chico. Lo recomiendo.

Currently a final year student at the local Uni and come here often. Food is great and fairly priced as well as the beer. Bar staff are really friendly and like to have a laugh, in particular Joe and Marshall who we always have a catch up with. Would highly recommend.

Our group of friends congegated here from around the country last night. Possibly around 20 of us all arriving at different times, ordering food and drink, spreading ourselves out chatting and having a laugh. They coped admirably with us. Great food, excellent beer and the room was the perfect size for our group. The acoustics get dodgy many of us are of an age where hearing conversation in a noisy room is a problem but when we asked if the music could be turned off they did it no problem. Thanks! We will be back again next year. Such an accommodating place

Visited for a lunchtime party burger with a small group. Unfortunately only one member of staff behind the bar so service was very slow, they also forgot one or our burgers only serving it after the rest of our party had finished eating.... :(

Love a cheeky bev at the Paget. Not only have great food and drink but the staff are so friendly and always up for a laugh. Manager Joe and his staff (think we were served by Marshall) provide that "second-home" ambience - defo coming again!

Great pub. The burgers never fail to impress matched with a great drinks selection and friendly staff in Joe, Nathan and Marshall (Who serves a mean kraken and coke). Enjoy the open mic night on a Tuesday in particular.

Living just round the corner, I've been a few times with both friends and family and it's an amazing pub! The food and drink on offer are of an outstanding quality and the bar staff are incredibly friendly and give the place a great atmosphere.A big mention must go to Joe and Marshall who served me on my birthday and were just great company alongside my friends.Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

The Paget Arms is a great place to visit whatever you are looking for. They sell all kinds of everyday beers and spirits plus quality local and guest ales. The gourmet burgers are by far the nicest I have ever tried. They are great quality and value for money too! The staff are welcoming and very friendly especially Joe the assistant manger. I've ended up here a fair few times now and I have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful; If you ever have any problems, they are really quick to help out. When it comes to the food, I have to say that they sell the best burgers and not at a stupid price. Honestly, probably one of the best pubs in Loughborough, not the cheapest pint but good atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

Part of me doesn't even want to write this review as i don't want anyone else to know about it! :D I've lived in Loughbrough almost 3 years and i only came across this pub in the last month and have been twice since then. Its cosy and very friendly. Drinks are nicely priced too. The staff are very friendly. It just gives off a really nice atmosphere that you don't get much anymore. Love it and can't wait for summer as they have a nice beer garden out back :)

Part of our annual 'visit all the pubs in town' tour... Always worth a visit, especially when the student aren't around as much quieter and nice to sit in the garden if sunny after work! Good selection of spirits-always a good sign!

Visiting my son who is at University we went for a lunchtime meal in this residential part of Loughborough near the University. At first sight austere, the pub belied an outstanding fare. the choice of real ales was excellent, as well as draught cider on tap for the younger palette. We then proceeded to have beef burger meals that were outstanding- superb taste, presentation and value. The service was second to none with our friendly barman - Joe - ensuring nothing was too much trouble. My son lives nearby and I am sure this is not the last time we will visit.

Really fresh crunchy lettuce and the chunky burger was so juicy it was mouth-watering to look at! It’s smothered in some smoky bbq sauce and red Leicester cheese and even has an onion ring stuffed with pulled pork with it.Honestly the best burger I’ve had and really decently priced too. I think the chef makes a secret sauce that he puts on too, which goes really well with the bbq sauce.Staff were really friendly. Wait for food was minimal. And the pub in general is really friendly and traditional.

I am new to the area and have visited The Paget twice in the last week and will definitely be a regular visitor. I visited on Tuesday for a few drinks with friends, we were greeted by a very friendly guy behind the bar that made us feel very welcome and had a laugh with us! We then returned again on Friday evening for food and it was the best burger I have ever had and brilliant value for money! Think this will be my local for a few years to come!

Having visited previously and enjoyed some fantastic burgers, I was extremely disappointed to be served a "chicken" burger that was mostly bun and salad with a tiny sad piece of battered chicken that was more batter than anything else. Huge disappoint compared to only a few months previous.

Frequent visitor to this pub, however being put off my the decrease in quality of the burgers, and now no help your self mayo and ketchup :(

Great place, great atmosphere, good beer and cider, what else could you want. Good garden, lovely wooden furniture, comfy, happy, nice, oh yeah!

We took a family trip here for lunch having heard about the new Steamin' Billy Brews & Burgers concept. We sat in the large beer garden under the gazebo which was nice and were delighted by the large offering of burgers. Between us we had a couple of Q Burgers with gourmet chips - totally amazing with pulled pork on the burger and big fat chips - an Inferno which was hot but not overpowering and a cheeseburger that the kids shared with skinny fries. The only negative was the onion rings which were overcooked but other than that, it was an amazing meal. The staff are delightful and it's a fab place for a quick and easy lunch and a great pint of craft beer. Love it!

Love coming here, whether it be for food or just a quick pint. Very lively with students during term time - brilliant vibe. Nice little out door seated area with heaters if needs be. The cheeseburger with Stilton is to die for so make sure you try it out!

After 20 minutes wating at the bar to get served I went home as I was really hungry. But not only the service is terrible. A friend who managed to get food had cold, uncooked chips.

My coworkers and I visit The Paget Arms every Friday for for a pint and burger to help get in the mood for the weekend. The quality of the food is still as good today as it was when we first visited over a year ago. The landlord and chief are great who chat and banter with you.Great selection of beers, ciders and spirits, a great atmosphere and friendly staff. What more could you ask for?Highly recommended

We visit the Paget weekly and have always been served amazing, hot & creative burger combinations within 15mins or less, my favourite is the Inferno. The staff are beyond friendly & are always happy to have a chat with us. We've met the Chef on many occasions, he is always clean, well presented & extremely friendly. The Paget is a relaxed venue, they have the local newspapers ready and are the only dog friendly pub I've been to in Loughborough. They also have a big beer garden area which is amazing in the summer. I couldn't recommend this pub enough.

A large group of us from around the country traditionally get together in Loughborough around new year. Previously we have been to The Swan in the Rushes. We got so fed up of them keep promising a late bar for our large group then closing at the usual time we moved to The Paget this year. They accomodated us really well. Great real ale, good food and a private room for our group so we could relax and mingle not having to worry about losing our seat or leaving a handbag behind. I was really impressed with the place and it suited our needs perfectly. Walking distance to the Travelodge where most of us were staying too. The burgers were really good tooOnly one criticism - they didn't have any ginger ale for my Whisky so I opted for coke instead. A single measure of whisky in a tall tumbler was topped up to the top with coke!! Talk about drowning it. Please ask your bar staff to check how much mixer a customer wants with their spirit. As I don't usually drink caffeine it meant I was awake at 3am!! I suspect we will be back next year though

What has gone wrong ? Once upon a time you could be served a good burger washed down with a good quality pint.!! How things have changed. Your lucky to get food at the moment third time I've been in . First time managed to get food ?. Staff are very friendly and do give you a good service. But only on the bar !!!After ordering me and my friend sat down and waited not to long and our meals were delivered by chef ? Burgers looked OKAYI was looking forward to a good quality burger pink in the middle like on the menu. What I found myself eating was a throughly cooked burger nothing you wouldn't expect from a football match . hot dog sauce on my Stilton burger . Also onion rings paying £2 for what small left over onions in a soggy batter Unfortunately we won't be back

Getting ridiculous now. After my last negative review I contacted the landlord to let him know of my disappointment, and was assured it would be resolved asap. I double and triple checked and all literature states food 7 days a week. Despite this, we walk in to be told no food today. It's so annoying that you can't trust your local to supply food...!!!

I have to say I was quite disappointed the last time I visited the Paget as the menu has been reduced to just burgers and hot dogs and the day we visited they had ran out of sausages. They used to do gorgeous pizzas. I have however given 4 stars as the burgers are still tasty but I'm not a huge burger fan so I won't be visiting as frequently for food. They do a good range of drinks and tasty ciders and the staff are all very friendly.

Did a search for top pub meals in Leicestershire.Very surprised to see the Paget arms pop up as it's local to us and in the heart of student land. Certainly not somewhere you would expect decent food being as students are always after bargains ;)Intrigued i read some reviews and looked at some pics. After one review said "it was the best burger in the UK", That was that, i was sold.The place looks fantastic inside, very nicely done out.The menu is great, a few burgers to choose from, Side orders etc.We both ordered the 'Paget Q' burger with pulled pork and a 6oz burger. Side order of Chunky chips.We were not disappointed.The Bun was perfect. The burger so tender and full of juice and flavour. The pulled pork tasted amazing on a burger with onion rings and salad...If Great burgers are your thing or not, you have to try these !Top Chef, looking forward to his new menu and trying some of his other delights too. Lol he was running around on his own doing bar work, cooking, paying external orders... talk about committed !Will be in there more often now, they are also child friendly too so defo takin my boys in the near future.Wednesday's they even offer a free half pint with any burger...!!!!The drinks choice in there is fantastic too i might add.To summerise...This was by far the best burger i have ever eaten and we eat at 5 guys burger joint in Nottingham regularly....

My husband and I visited after seeing The Paget Arms so highly rated on Tripadvisor, and are we glad we did. We arrived around 6.15 on a Saturday evening and were given a warm welcome by the manager on arrival and proceeded to order a couple of local beers and burgers. We had a pleasant chat about the menu (New menu coming in the next couple of weeks) and made our choices; inferno burger for me and candied bacon and blue cheese for the husband. For good measure we ordered some dutty fries and beer battered onion rings. We were told food would be around 10 mins.We found a table in the main bar area and got settled. The food arrived quickly whilst we were enjoying our beers. The burgers looked spot on, robust enough to eat without it falling apart and so tasty. The inferno was hot and spicy and the bacon and blue was filled to the brim. The dutty fries were tasty and loads of bbq pulled Pork - so delicious. The ingredients were of a good quality and the new menu sounds to continue the theme of quality.We stopped for a few more beers (it would be rude not to!) And enjoyed another chat with the manager, it sounds like they have had some trouble with the chef lately and had to sack them, suffering a couple of temps in the interim. The new chef did a great job and when she came into the bar area at the end of service was dressed in impeccable whites, filled me with confidence. The friendly staff, great grub and awesome beer selections make this place a must. We'll be back.

I'd been recommended the Paget for it's beer, and burgers. Having had a long walk into Loughborough from my hotel on a Monday evening, I was disappointed to find that they didn't do food on a Monday (it's not what the website says!), but the real ale & cider selection was very good, so I stopped for a couple of very nice pints.Two days later, I popped in again, and I'm so glad I did as the burger was excellent! I had the Q burger with chunky chips, and a free 1/2 pint of beer (special on a Wednesday). The chips were nice & chunky, and the burger succulent & juicy, topped with BBQ pulled pork, Red Leicester cheese, onion rings, pickles and Sticky BBQ Sauce, and served in a very good brioche bun. Yumsk!

To start the staff are quite friendly, chatty even when busy and haven't lost the art of bartending. The pub in itself is a very nice place to be, but can be a little crowded when busy. Now the burgers, oh wow the burgers are amazing and so very tasty. Best burger I've had in the uk.

My local whilst living in Loughborough as a student. Good slection of beer and reasonable prices. Make sure you get yourself a Steaming Billy Card for a few extra pence off a pint! Usually busy and lively, a popular favourite for locals and students alike. The beer garden is a big draw in the summer. The Burger menu is pretty good and well priced, some decent offers on throughout the week. If you are just looking for a cheap burger and pint, I can't think of anywhere bette in Loughhborough.

I ventured to the Paget about half a year ago with mates and was quite impressed with the decent burgers served up. We'd put off going back for long enough so it seemed time for a repeat visit. I wish we hadn't bothered. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a poison pen deal, it was just an immensely disappointing experience - we enjoyed it six months ago and I'm a fan of other Steamin' Billy establishments. After ordering drinks, my order was dealt with by a friendly female bartender but my mate endured a painful episode with the male coworker whose attitude was so blasé, we wondered if the burger would actually arrive. When they did come the chips were lukewarm, the onion rings were cold, my beef burger was dry and his chicken burger sounded equally mediocre. Perhaps the biggest laugh was the sprinkle of extra cheese straight from the fridge over the fries he'd ordered...wouldn't you expect them to be melted into the chips? It was laughable. The onion rings were dire, I need not say anymore. The burger was relatively tasteless and the stark contrast in temperature with the other 'cool' accompaniments suggested the involvement of a microwave. All in all it was a pretty terrible experience, especially when you've spent time in places such as Crafty and Font in Leicester or Meet Burger (also pretty average...) in Loughborough. Dead meat by the looks of it.

It's a real shame because just last summer this was my favourite place to eat in Loughborough, the burgers were peerless. However somewhere along the way the chef has changed who not only has poor kitchen etiquette (someone in a filthy hoody and jeans is not who I want cooking my food) but, more importantly, can't make burgers either. My most recent two visits have had a very soggy lower bun presumably from defrosting it which is not what I expect. The pulled pork is somehow flavourless, I don't know how you can ruin pulled pork but she's found a way. The burger arrived cold which is unacceptable considering how quiet it was at the time.On the other side of the coin however The chips are still incredible with the smoked paprika. The desserts are great too, but dishing up ice cream rarely presents a challenge.I'm only giving a 4* because i still want to give the Paget the benefit of the doubt but in reality based on my last visit it would be more like a 2*. Get it together Paget. You were #1 not long ago and you're slipping quickly.

Went last week, as recommended by TripAdvisor. Had an hour wait when they were not busy, stone cold food upon arrival and the only thing we could hear was the chef swearing profusely and door slamming when our meal was returned to her. Genuinely felt sorry for the guy behind the bar, as he was having to do everything. We ended up going to the chip shipments instead. Very disappointing,

Have been going to the Paget Arms for over 6 months but have recently decided not to eat there anymore. Food has been unavailable on several occasions because "the chef hasn't turned up" and when it has been available there has been problems with my last 2 orders. Eventually resolved but still it's hard to escape noticing the quality of food has gone downhill as has the cleanliness of the pub. The final straw is the chef delivering the food in hoody and jeans covered in what I hope was food. Disappointed as previously loved coming her with my family.

Visited many times as my local. Great pub with a good atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Perfect for pre drinks, nice garden. My dog also loves it here! Great burgers which do slightly differ in quality from time to time but generally are spot on!

I love this place, after all it's my local. The selection of ciders is spot on, and the food is really great. Or at least it is when you can get it!Been in 4 times now in the last month, and on 3 occasions the kitchen has been shut. These have been various days in the week. Every time they say that they're in the process of changing chefs, but nothing as of yet...The staff here are lovely mind and we'll always stay for a drink even when the food is off, but it just annoys me I can't guarantee to get a meal!

Used this regularly as lived on Paget street, food is a good price and the burger are lovely. Some of the other food is a bit too covered in sauce or can be tasteless and portions are HUGEService is VERY slow if around dinner, waited an hour and a half before, at lunch time very speedy.

Visited for the 1st time sunday night after hearing good things, menu was basic but clear and decided to stay for food. Took an age to get served even with only 6 punters in and food came after half hour. Was nice and worth the money but dread to think how long it would take if it was busy.

Stopped by here after good feedback from fellow reviewers. Pub is kind of in the middle of a residential area but has a very local feel.As everyone else says, burgers are amazing and I think good value (compared to London). Portion size and quality very good.The young lady behind the bar was also a complete credit to the owners - incredibly friendly and if we're ever back in Loughborough we will be sure to pop in.Well worth popping by.

Having been to Uni in Loughborough I'm not one to shy away from a burger joint, so seeing that The Paget was doing so well on here meant only one thing!! If my memory serves me correctly then The Paget used to be a pretty run down student pub but it has had an excellent makeover..it's clean, smart & full of charm. The staff are very friendly and even if you haven't visited in ages they make you feel right at home.Now, for the burgers..there is a good selection to suit anyone's tastes. I went for the 'Inferno' burger as I love a bit of spice. All i can say is WOW!! Perfectly cooked burger, lashings of hot sauce and oozy melty cheese.If you want my advice or even pay attention to anything you have just read then get yourself down to The Paget ASAP.Good work guys, will 100% be back.

Took a visit to the Paget arms on Sunday eve. It was quiet, Located in a very studenty area of Loughborough - Really well kept, clean and cool decor with all the retro sporting equipment on the walls and ceiling! A huge selection of drinks available including all the Steaming Billy ales and beers as well as local brewery 'Charnwood brewing co" on the pump + many more! The quality of the drinks we had were spot on as was our Server/barmaid. Friendly and knowledgable which is always a positive! We'd heard the burgers were good so had one each! 1 Candied bacon & Blue Cheese and 1 Paget Q with some 'DUTTY FRIES' on the side! The burgers all come with fries but I wanted to add some Dutty-ness :DHUGE, TASTY, MEATY, Packed full of flavour, FRESH and well seasoned! Decent bun and quality ingredients!I'd say this is THE best burger i've had in the UK - And I've eaten A LOT of burgers! hahaI wouldn't hesitate going back. For 2 Burgers, a HUGE side and 3 drinks came in at £20! Couldn't ask for more! Worth driving over from Leicester for that's for sure! I'd rather drive the 20 miles to get here than the 1 mile to town put it that way!

In the middle of nowhere there is a pub with one of the best burgers I ever have.I recommend to everybody who will be in Loughborough area.Great place!

We went for lunch, and had excellent quality food. The landlord was very kind, and proposed excellent choices for both food and beer. The real ale was excellent, so if you like proper beer with your proper food, this is a great place to go.The inside is a traditional pub style, with rather nicely looked after area outside. We chose to sit outside, which even in the not great weather we had was a nice place to be. If you want a great pub with excellent loacl food at good prices, this is definitely the place to go in Loughborough.

If your lookong for a great burger and chips in and old English pub setting, this is the place to go in Loughborough!Burgers are to die for (if you like your spice like me, the burger with the scotch bonnet sauce is a must eat!)... chunky chips are epic as well and those onions rings!Keep it up paget!

Great pub, chilled atmosphere, friendly staff, parking right outside. Like many others we visited the Paget based on Trip Advisor and the great reviews, we weren't disappointed. There's only a few tables in the pub but it was fairly quiet as it was late lunch. The menu is a Steaming Billy menu, with a genuine american feel. Hotdogs and Burgers being the main event. The standard and quality of food received was delicious. My husband had a point from the Abbeydale brewery Pale Ale I think, he was very impressed, we'll be going back very soon.

Visited this pub for lunch on a Saturday - 5 adults and 2 children. Being a student 'favourite' it was pretty much empty being a Saturday in July in the holidays but this suited us. We found a spot in the pleasant courtyard garden.Bar staff friendly and helpful and there is a good range of real ales and lagers. Menu is pretty small but this is often a good sign - it's basically burgers all the way - beef, chicken, fish, pulled pork and hot dogs.We ordered 3 cheeseburgers, a pulled pork burger and a chicken salad plus fries and a portion of onion rings. We were not disappointed at all - burgers were tasty, juicy and well cooked. Not huge but that is how I like a burger i.e. not falling out of the bun and all over the place. Pulled pork burger was really tender and tasty with a really nice sauce - the salad was large with plenty of chicken. Onion rings were just that - large pieces of onion in a light, crunchy better - not that healthy for you but delicious!!Only slight 'complaint' would be that the gents toilets were a bit dirty and could do with a bit of love and care. Not that surprising for a student pub but even so.........Will definitely be back again!!

4 of us visited for food based on trip advisor reviews and we weren't disappointed, friendly staff, nice pint of beer and great food, we could even smoke our e cigs indoors…what more do you want?Only small niggle is the outside area could be a wee bit better but we had just come from the Copt Oak which has a lovely outside area round the back so might be unfair to compare.

The Paget Arms is situated in the heart of Loughborough just outside of the town center. Most evenings you can usually find this warm, Victorian terrace pub full of a cross section of Loughborough society. The Paget offers six traditional real ales always including Steamin’ Billy ales and a rotating guest ale program as well as three craft beers.A good selection of dogs and burgers can be ordered with a service with a smile approach. We went on a recommendation and were interested to try the burgers. We tried two different choices, there was never any chance of managing more than one and we were not disappointed. The good selection of beers added to the draw that had brought a diverse crowd of people, everyone enjoying the ambiance.

After hearing much about this place, I finally decided to check out this place. Corner of Paget and Oxford, this place is charming to say the least. Old school tables, booths and sports equipment decorate the place. Lively choice of music, which is always a welcomed plus. Good choice of drinks and food. But its' Burgers is what I have came here for. Being a little adventurous, I went for the Inferno. 6 oz beef burger with their special hot sauce and chunky chips. The verdict: Juicy and Satisfying. Definitely worth the try.

A pleasant pub with a mostly youthful clientele. Plenty of real ales and usually a good selection of ciders, a couple of which cost a fortune... Burger and chips is good value.

Prices are more than reasonable, especially when considering the quality of the food. The place itself is very good, can't really find any complaints.

Went to the Paget on Saturday for a burger and a pint in the sun. The burger was well cooked and presented, great service and a beautiful garden to sit out in the sun :) Definitely worth a visit. :)

I came to this bar on my own because I was passing the area and needed to have a few drinks. I was sat in the bar next to the fox with glasses when a group approached me and offered me to join them with a hug of pimms. Later in the night I was doing shots and eating the skins of limes. I have to see it was unexpected. I needed cheering up because I have been very lonely recently and the people made me feel very welcomed. Although I was made to sit by the BBQ when punished I fit right in and was cheered up... At least for the evening.

Amazing atmosphere and food available. Highly highly recommend! Summer evening beer garden perfect!!

Went to the Paget with my girlfriend for A meal and it was a lovely experience, it was a chilled evening and we recieved a great service from the bar staff who couldn't do enough for us. We will be coming back next week for a meal!!
