Miller & Carter Steakhouse in Charnwood

We celebrated a birthday here and requested a more private seating area with some table decorations. Unfortunately, no one informed us beforehand that they wouldn’t be able to decorate the table, so we ended up bringing our own. This would have been perfectly fine if we’d known in advance. That aside, the food and service were absolutely brilliant!

Chenai was a great waitress, polite, happy and tentative.

I recently visited Miller & Carter, and I must say, it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The service was painfully slow—our waiter hardly checked on us, leaving us waiting ages for our drinks. Causing us to get up and find a waiter on 3 different occasions. To make matters worse, the restaurant was Overall, it felt like they didn't care about their customers at all. Not only is this the first time it’s the 3rd time we have had to complain I’ve honestly never left a review but just can’t believe a place with staff like that if running charging top prices, in the end we left as we felt completely disrespected. I left disappointed and hungry—a total letdown. I won’t be returning anytime soon. Save your money and eat elsewhere!

Fabulous food, great quality steak on the Butchers Block….would recommend. And our table server, Lilia was very welcoming and attentive. Thank you for a lovely meal.

James was excellent and the food was fantastic!

I treated my friend to lunch as a belated birthday treat. Sadly the steak was not medium rare - more like medium-well done. This changed the flavour of the steak. However, we had a limited amount of time to ourselves, so we didn't send the food back. The waitress kindly took some money off the bill. However, we were disappointed as we were really looking forward to the steak.

Service a bit slow. Not much atmosphere it was late Sunday night.

Chenai made a guest at our table’s birthday with her excellent service and smile. The food was excellent which speaks volumes for my first time here on a busy service day. Food was a short wait, desert even shorter and even had wine poured for us! Felt like royalty, 100% coming back.

Chenai - was very professional and engaging. Met all our needs and was very knowledgable around the menu. Great atmosphere and made better by the banter with Chenai.

We live in the middle of 3 M&C and Rothley is our favourite one by far. Food is always great, atmosphere is lovely and service is always top notch. Ava served us tonight and she was really quick to pop up whenever we needed her - she was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble :) couldn’t ask for more!

Greeted at the front entrance of Miller and Carter Rothley Had a drink at the bar first, was told our table is ready when ever we are. Asked for a quiet table and was taken to a lovely quiet area. Lilly was our Waitrass. She was excellent Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Could not fault anything We will be back. A big thank you to all the staff.

Had a lovely meal today . I had calamari starter, it was just right , nice crispy coating, lovely texture squid. We both had 5oz filet steak , medium rare was perfect. I had Stilton and white port sauce was flavoursome, but for me too thin would have preferred it thickness of peppercorn sauce. Hubby had peppercorn sauce. Hubby had Salted caramel profiteroles he said they were lovely. Nice to have the choice of a different beer rather than just larger or cider . I had Neckoil which I love . Our waiter Santino was really friendly and took time to talk to us explaining menu., and a chat about wines. Just how a waiter should be . We booked to return in a few weeks for Hubbys birthday.

Absolutely love this place. Service is always spot on (Leona was absolutely lovely this time) and the food, whether it's a steak baguette for lunch or a Chateaubriand for a special occasion, is always amazing. Both mine and my wife's favourite restaurant ever - always our first choice when we get a rare moment away from the children.

The service from our waiter was fantastic, very attentive from start to finish and extremely polite. The Chateaubriand was cooked to perfection exactly as requested and was absolutely delicious.

Its a nice restaurant, great inside and you do feel special, but its not quite right, there is something missing. For the price, I have had better steak, it wasnt bad, but there is better

Always a great steak meal at Miller and Carter, highly recommend the black Angus. My party also ordered the hake and cod which were both delicious and good portion sizes. Ava is a delight!

Traditional steak house. Good food & service that could have been enhanced by one cask conditioned ale at the bar in place of the array of gassy lagers. But as M & B own Millers and have spent a lifetime building breweries and then closing them I shouldn't have been surprised.

My wife and I went there last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary.Food was excellent and we were served by Santini who was very attentive and really looked after us.Good to see businesses doing well.

We arrived a tad early today and was invited straight to our table. Ava served us and she was fantastic throughout. Ava supplied us with drinks we wanted with quick and efficient service and catered for my fussiness without any problems!! The food was incredible from start to to finish - hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was fab. The restaurant was busy, however everybody was spaced enough to have their own conversation and be comfortable!

Came for an impromptu meal, fantastic Thursday deal of three courses for £32.95, 100% recommend! Food was perfect as always, we were served by Beth who was lovely, incredibly helpful and bubbly, a credit to the team. We’ll be back again soon!
