My boyfriend and I were looking for a cafe to have lunch at. We saw this one on Google Maps and decided to try it out. When we got here we were welcomed with beautiful decor and incredibly friendly staff. We ordered our food, and when we got it, all I can say is that it was delicious. Beautiful presentation, and taste. The dirty fries (pictured) are a highlight - the nicest loaded fries I’ve ever tasted, so I would highly recommend. Overall, I have nothing bad to say about The Rising Café. The food was beautiful, the decor is cute, and the staff are so friendly. We will definitely be coming back!
Este era un pequeño lugar perfecto para parar y tomar té y pastel. Sin duda la mejor zanahoria del mundo. Personal amable y encantador y una alegría haber encontrado.
Great food ant service, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. If anyone wants something special, tasty food and nice enviroment i can say 100% highly recommended!
We called on Wednesday at 4.45. When my wife said the restaurant was top on Tripadvisor I thought this is going to cost me!… Starter and Main with Drinks £58 for two you couldn’t wipe the smile off my face ..Have the sea bass it’s gorgeous, meatball starter was stunning. To be fair if it had been twice the price I wouldn’t have moaned. The place is romantic, welcoming , the food is exceptional and the staff are unbelievably friendly.A Great reason to visit Leicester. Thank You
A little treat for my wife's 40th - did not let us down! The whole experience was amazing and every course was so good. The customer service was great.
Booked a table here for Friday at 8pm. what a lovely meal we had, the curries we had were very nice indeed, service was great and was good value. Will definitely be returning very soon.
A fantastic valentines meal out. Never Ever disappoints.
We had the duck Bon Bon’s and Arancino and they were amazing.
Followed by a Rib eye steak with an extra side of fresh vegetables. Porchetta pork belly.
For dessert it was Apple tart .
Service, venue and food all 1st class.
If you have never been you are missing out. Thanks BM for another great evening

This little tea room is very welcoming , myself and my friend went for a catch up and had a cooked breakfast each , it’s not something I have normally because it can usually be a little greasy in certain places or the ingredients is not the best , but this place was absolutely lovely , it wasn’t greasy and it was very tasty and all the ingredients was quantity, I booked again upon leaving because the staff was also lovely and the service was great so it’s a 10/10 for me and I’m hard to please normally , there is a lovely park also you can walk round after leaving the tea room .
Absolutely brilliant!
Don’t think that just because this is a food bar it’s average food, it’s much better than many takeaways in Leicester. I can hands down say that this place is a diamond in the rough of Leicester!
The man of the hour is of course our very own Serkan, who we lovingly call Aj, he’s the nicest guy you can meet and very generous as well!
If you want to eat at one of the nicest, cleanest and tastiest places in Leicester; this place is for you!
We ordered a afternoon lunch selection for 25 people at our baby shower in Lincoln. The owner Dez could not do enough to meet our requests. He delivered a fantastic spread. The selection of sandwiches were delicious and he catered for everyone’s dietary needs. His homemade sausages and his scones with cream and strawberries went down a storm. They delivered to our venue, which took away all the added stress. Thanks again for delivering us a lovely spread on our special day. We will definitely use Margaret’s Tea Rooms a again.
A very warm welcome, friendly staff, a wonderful selection of amazing cakes at the counter and a comprehensive and sensibly priced menu. It was lunchtime but my son had the full English breakfast (available all day) and an Amaretto Milkshake (he said it was the best thing he's ever tasted) and I had a tea and hot sausage sandwich on white sourdough bread. Couldn't fault it at all - freshly cooked and spot on.
This was our first time trying The Hay Barn and it really didn't disappoint. We went on a Monday at 10:45 and got a table no problem, but the cafe did fill up fast.
The lady that served us was absolutely lovely couldn't do enough for us.
We had a ham and cheese toastie, one of the specials which was a feta and walnut scone with fig chutney, a fresh fig and salad and the lemon cake. All presented beautifully and absolutely delicious. I was full after my toastie so couldn't manage my lemon cake so they happily boxed it up for me, it also came with some fresh strawberries, blueberries and raspberries along with a pot of cream.
The coffees all came with a lovely shortbread biscuit which again was lovely.
The extras and attention to detail was fantastic and the service faultless.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone. We shall definitely be returning to try one of the dinners which also looked amazing.
Free parking is on site.
Lovely cafe with friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed delicious sourdough toasties. Great selection of cakes, we took some home for later. Would definitely recommend and we’ll be back. Thanks
First visit to Truva, and very impressed with food, service and staff. Flatbread and dips we're unexpected, and delicious. We were a group of six and all thoroughly enjoyed our choices. For me the outstanding course was the Mushroom Saute starter. Highly recommended.
