This special Tapas event is only available on certain weekends as the restaurant is currently awaiting resale, so it is necessary to check when the next event is scheduled. The food is wonderful and very reasonably priced, with normally up to nine individual dishes for sharing between two people ( or a whole one each if you feel really hungry. There is also a good selection of local craft beers and traditional cocktails etc . The sweets are a real treat, so go on and spoil yourself. A really great night out and a wonderful atmosphere and the staff are wonderful and friendly. We look forward to the next evening as soon as possible.

This is the second time I have had the pleasure of Justin's amazing catering. The first my 50th and now a fabulous day of the dead party. He always gets it right. All of the preparation is hassle free, food is amazing, there is no clearing up, and Justin himself is full of fresh ideas and has such a sunny disposition. Just what you need at any party. So good two of my friends have already made the most of his culinary talents. Cannnot wait until my next excuse to celebrate.

I am starting my review with the following statement that gets added to the bill so reviewers can see how this restaurant operates without having to read the full review ' 10% TIPS INCLUDED - FOR PARTIES OF 1 OR LARGER, 10% GRATUITITY IS APPLIED AUTOMATICALLY. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS SPEAK TO THE MANAGER' We had 4 tapas and some bread and also ordered a bottle of wine. We asked for a bottle of Rioja that was listed on the menu but we were told that was not available, so we moved to the one above it instead. We waited for our wine but then we were informed by our waiter that instead he could offer us a different red and that it would be £40 (approx.) I said well the wine I ordered was around the £30 mark and didn't really want to pay £40 - mainly because I am not sure why the customer should have to fork out an extra £10 because they cannot locate the wines they have listed on their menu. He informed me that he would knock the service charge off the bill. I thought this is strange because we are only a table of 2 people, why would there be a service charge? Thankfully one of his colleagues located the bottle of wine we had ordered and the issue was resolved. Our food arrived and we must say, it really was mediocre. The gambas were incredibly expensive for the size of the portion and the size of the prawns. When the bill came we could see that they had added a 10% service charge with the statement on the receipt ' 10% TIPS INCLUDED - FOR PARTIES OF 1 OR LARGER, 10% GRATUITY IS APPLIED AUTOMATICALLY. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS SPEAK TO THE MANAGER' What a strange approach and way to manage tips - tips SHOULD be discretionary, not mandated. Tips should be left based on the service received and the dining experience. Secondly, stating that 'for tables of 1 or more' automatic tips are applied, you cannot get tables of less than 1 so basically this restaurant is stating that all diners will have this automatic tip applied. Would we have left 10% for the food and service received , no we wouldn't have done. Will we be back or recommend this restaurant? No we will not.

Me and my friend visited today for the first time after a 5 mile walk, it was so warm and welcoming and a variety of cakes well presented on a table as you walk in. The waiter asked where we would like to sit, he was very kind and chatty and couldn’t do enough to help us making our dining experience a fantastic one, he took our order very promptly 10 mins max and less than 10mins for it all to arrive soup coffee and cake of which all arrived at the same time as my friends so we could enjoy together, all that was hot was piping hot and very much enjoyed.

Great spot for fantastic authentic Spanish tapas! The food was really tasty made with quality ingredients. Nikki and her team provided top class service. Long story short my wife cannot eat certain foods due to IBS. Nikki was able to tweak many dishes so that my wife could enjoy the meal. Both my wife and I throughly enjoyed the food, took us back to Spain! The Gambas Pil Pil is a must 👌🏽 as are the cocktails! The setting is also nicely decorated with good music playing, no doubt a great atmosphere later on in the evening.

This was our first visit & it didn’t disappoint. The Tapas Menu was varied & the dishes were well presented. Quality of the food was faultless & the staff were both knowledgeable about the menu & very polite. My only criticism was that we were told that they would box up what we couldn’t eat so asked that our Bread & Olives (we didn’t start to eat them) be boxed up only to discover when we got home that they only boxed up the bread & left out the olives. A minor detail but failed to het full marks for this reason.

Very random . Great food . Very strange service . Started closing down round us at 8.30. Didn't seem happy when 4 more people turned up at 8.40.

We were visiting our daughter who is studying in the City.It was a busy Saturday afternoon and we hadn’t booked. We each had 2 tapas, a mixture of meat and veg. The food was delicious and really fresh and the ambiance was amazing. I would have given the review full marks, but the step and level change going to the toilets was really unexpected and a real trip hazard. All in all a really great experience.

Went to a special Halloween event , children’s disco with Wednesday Addams. It was beautifully set up and so well organised. Plenty to entertain the grandchildren for the 2 hours . We were well looked after, all the staff are so welcoming and take care to ensure you have everything you need . Thank you to all the staff at The Fuel Tank and to Wednesday Addams of course!
