Amor La Tapas in High Peak

Wanted to try this place since it opened its first time. So second time round finally got to try it. Went on a Thursday. Was 1 of only 2 tables dining. Place was extremely cold and had to keep coat on think that was due to lack of people being inside. Service was great and really was all you could eat. The waiter kept asking if we wanted more. The food was generally good however quality on some dishes could of been better. Dining is mostly up some steep stairs so access could be an issue. Lots of local parking. I would come back but on a weekend when more people to improve atmosphere and hopefully make the place warmer. Lots of options on the menue and a great price.

Very random . Great food . Very strange service . Started closing down round us at 8.30. Didn't seem happy when 4 more people turned up at 8.40.

Sadly it was a very bad experience. Food very bad Cheap wine but pricey. Staff not informed enough to advise people. A big disappointment

Great place for tapas. We went on a Friday night and had the deal where you can have as many dishes as you like. Food was lovely, quick service, staff were friendly and helpful, reasonably priced food and bottle of wine. Main seating area is upstairs so don't think it's empty when you walk by, like we did, lol! Highly recommended.

The food was very hot, tasty and a great value for money, the staff were very friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our ages, would recommend the potatoes with garlic sauce on! Lots of veggie options for two of our party of six.

Already reviewed here a year ago, but they shut down and reopened this June, I’ve been this evening with my grandparents when visiting from Manchester. Amazing, delicious food, plenty of options on the menu, service from staff is amazing and one waitress in particular (didn’t catch her name) had an amazing attitude and sense of humour, will definitely be visiting again, couldn’t recommended enough.

We opted for the bottomless drinks and tapas. Great value for money, the drinks included cocktails. Friendly staff. Would recommend!

Wasn't too bad but I think it's a little expensive for the quality. Staff were excellent very polite.

All you can eat for about £20 depending on what day. Great value and great food.

First time here food & service excellent & great value for money

Lovely varied menu. We had an evening meal. There were plenty of staff to look after us. The restless upstairs. We ate 6 dishes each plus breads and olives.

Never had tapas before but looking forward to trying it. Well, I was not disappointed, great choice and excellent service. Also, good value for money. Couldn't ask for more. Will definitely be going back.

Not sure how to go about this review as historically we have enjoyed this place.. My friends daughter was offered a trial shift behind the bar where she did three hours work , told her she’d done really well and they would add her to the WhatsApp group and contact her to come and work again next Friday, when she contacted them yesterday to see what time her shift started, they said not to bother as they’ve now got somebody else, Have they deliberately got her in on a night when they were short staffed, got her to work for 3 hours, not paid her a penny and then deemed her surplus to requirements? Is this, the first time they have done this? Obviously impressed by her work ethic so why not pay her? I would hope they reconsider their failings and donate £100 to a local cancer charity! I’ve been there before for a meal and enjoyed it but I’ll certainly never go there again.

Lovely Sunday evening spent here for a Birthday meal. Service was exceptional, they even surprised us with a Birthday cake at the end xx

Worst food and service we’ve received in a whole One of the worst restaurants in Glossop! No flavour and taste to any of the dishes, the chicken was cold and not delightful at all. We thought we would try something different, a new restaurant but soon regretted it quite early on. There was such a cold feel that night, it was freezing inside so we asked them to close the door and was told to do it ourselves as they were to busy. As well we then being told we can’t have a jug of water as drinks as it doesn’t include in the set meal. Which I did understand however it’s a basic requirement to ask for some water. 1. A table behind was, we’re having a few problems with their food and so was we. They were incredibly understaffed, especially for a Saturday night and this is the reason our night wasn’t enjoyable at all. 2. (A tip from a fellow hospitality manager -I would at least ensure you have 1 member of bar staff, and at least two floor staff to cover your needs for the night.) oh and off course a manager present seen as there wasn’t one available that night. I could clearly see the waitress was stressed. There was a good ten tables in at the same time and she was running up and down like a ball. Running drinks, then food, then doing the bills. EMPLOY MORE STAFF! Or I can’t see this place surviving till Christmas. Having two members of staff on at a time isn’t acceptable. 3. Now the food! What can I say it’s an absolute mess, pure slop and crap. I’m sure people would agree if you took more time preparing your food and presented it nicely it would be better. ( The chicken was cold, the prawn’s definitely were not fresh, and whatever them potatoes were. Jesus Christ! Once you have cracked the food, tell your chefs to turn on your bloody heat lamps - because while you have no servers the food is staying cold and not enjoyable at all. 4. Drinks - Our cokes were flat and not enjoyable. Now can see why after walking out and finding they are just from a big coke bottle on the floor. How hygienic.

Came in for some Tapas with some of the pals. The food was great with lots of options and the servers were very friendly. Loved the cocktails options aswell. Would recommend.

I would have put no stars if there was an option too. Booked for 30/08/2022, confirmation email received but restaurant is closed down.

Lovely restaurant, friendly and helpful staff and delicious food. Would recommend and will certainly return! 👍 The only thing that has stopped me giving full marks is that they'd run out of napkins.

Went on aTues evening for date night. There was a few people in and one large group. The food on the all you can eat menu was fantastic, we had a go at around 6 dishes each and were not disappointed by any. Will definitely go again. Great value, great service and despite being quiet, great atmosphere.

This restaurant’s latest incarnation is an all you can eat tapas restaurant. If that sounds a bit down market, the first dishes should dismiss that thought from your mind. The restaurant asks you to order no more than three dishes at a time each and this is probably the right amount. Some of the dishes only come with two portions but it’s no problem to order more. We ordered 4/4/3 and should have done 6/5 but it’s no big deal. And the food is TASTY. Restaurant itself is a little tatty around the edges away from the main restaurant space, but wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. We had a young waitress who was very good, despite being very young.

The food was great, the staff couldn’t be more helpful and the atmosphere of this restaurant was lively. The service was incredibly fast each order and will definitely be back!

Went as a family for Father’s Day and it was excellent. Food was spot on, staff excellent. Would definitely recommend it and will definitely be going again.

Enjoyed a visit Wednesday evening, good value for money and tasty food

Went Saturday after a recommendation, but sadly it was such poor standards that we left within 20 minutes, bread was dry, chicken was so old and there was nothing fresh about the dishes, even the wine was as cheap as the decor... I couldn't even be bothered arguing with the waiters and the 11 year old waitresses who couldn't work out which was the potato dishes... all in all avoid.

Absolutely superb not a single empty dish went back to the kitchen, great staff, great atmosphere will be back 👌.
