The food was excellent, great service and nice restaurant.

Excellent tapas restaurant. Went for evening meal and it has a lovely atmosphere with bar next door and event space in between. The staff were friendly and efficient. Food came quickly and it was all excellent - had 6 dishes. The choice of dishes is big and would have liked to try lots of others.

Delicious food and our waiter was so kind! Definitely recommend for anyone wanting a taste of the Spanish cuisine!

Wonderful place. We are so fortunate we found Barceloneta, which is linked with Bar Dos Hermanos on Queens Road in Leicester. Charming and superb service from Mia and Shon. Each and every tapas we had was delicious. We most certainly will return.

Thankyou to the FOH team and the chefs who gave us an incredible experience on our date night, just the same as I remember the restaurant as it was 20 years ago. (This is one place that doesn’t need updating!) The food is truly beautiful, I will continue to visit and highly recommended to anyone looking for authentic Spanish cuisine and a refreshing atmosphere. They also have potentially the best sangria I’ve tried in the UK :)

We came here to celebrate our trip to Barcelona. It felt like the real deal. So authentic.

I went there 2 days ago with my friends. I ordered "smoked salmon" which was £14.95. When my meal came, I was really shocked that there were just 5 small pieces of salmon in my plate. If you go there and you are really hungry, don't order it!

A lovely restaurant, with a good atmosphere, but standards in food have decreased. Some of the tapas lacked in taste.....calamari and whitebait had no taste at all. I have eaten here before and the food has been much better, but this visit was disappointing considering the prices. Staff also need to be more attentive as we asked for salt and pepper twice, but never got any.

Great place! We originally came in for desserts but the decided on a couple nibbles just because. Both the restaurant and the bar have a really good ambient, really attentive staff and great food.

Went here with work friends. Had a lovely evening. (Salsa dancing was going on in the next room.) Our food was lovely. Plenty of choice and well presented. It all came out at the same time, (there were 6 of us). Our waiter was very helpful, explaining what the dishes were. A very enjoyable evening. Would definately recommend a visit.

What an amazing place. A taste of holiday in Leicester. The staff are so friendly and amazing, both patient and knowledgeable. The beer was a great reminder of sunny days. Plenty of food in the serving. The special was amazing, pork and chorizo rice. A must visit.

A few weeks ago my husband, my baby and I travelled to Leicester to eat at this restaurant, even though we didn’t make a reservation they offered us a table. The staff were very polite and although no one spoke Spanish they knew the menu very well. We had the seafood paella and the calamares which were amazing, I do wish they put the mayo on the side rather than over the squid as my husband isn’t a fan, however we should have asked, but they were fresh and well cooked. They had some delicious mocktails and beautiful churros. we’ll be coming back!

This restaurant has a very lovely decor and great food, however it is a bit overpriced for the portion size. My date and I had tapas to share which all came in an odd number so not great for sharing. The wait staff was polite and engaging. We were asked to be ready vacate the table after 1.5 hrs of arriving (and waiting to be seated for a while!) however when we went upstairs virtually all of the tables were empty. I would recommend it for the experience however not that affordable.

The food has always been brilliant and was 10/10 again. We had a good spread of veggie and meat dishes and they were all consistent! Saturday is a busy night though so great atmosphere but expect it to be busy!

Unreal restaurant! It was my second time at the restaurant and it just keeps getting better! Service never fails to disappoint, kind, friendly and attentive staff!

Amazing Spanish Tapas. The restaurant had a lovely theme, we sat upstairs and felt very attended to. The food was incredible and I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

This restaurant has a nice atmosphere and it also had good service! You should definitely go try it out and have the chocolate gateau.

Great cocktails & decided to stay to eat. Have always loved Barceloneta however… ordered bread and olives for a small slate of toasted tiny bread and a tiny bowl of olives to later find out that it was £9! Challenged this whilst paying the bill! “Tapas” prices have increased and fillet medallions described as medium rare had no pink therefore not cooked as expected. Patronising manager deducted the £9 however left with a bitter taste in our mouths whilst having to raise an issue of overcharging on a rare night out. What a shame. Pull your socks up Barceloneta. On the up side prawn croquettes were delicious.

Dining at Barceloneta Spanish and Mediterranean Tapas Restaurant and Bar was a memorable experience, with the Tosta Con Boquerones, Patatas Bravas, and Garbanzos con Espinaca delivering authentic and bold flavors. The Selva Negra dessert was the perfect indulgence to end the meal on a sweet note. Maria’s service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. She made our visit truly enjoyable and added a personal touch to the overall experience.

Very caring team, beautiful venue. Nice selection of dishes in the menu one of the best spanish places i have been in Leicester so far! We will be back.

We visited here recently and we're very disappointed 😞. We moved away from Leicester 14 years ago and when we left in 2011 - this Tapas restaurant was epic! Sadly, this is no longer the case. The dishes are overpriced & a lot are not even Spanish..... if you like true Tapas dishes that are authentic - do NOT go here! Very, very disappointed 😞

Terrible! Ordered two meals at the same time one arrived the other did not, no explanation! I signed my disapproval to the bar man who sent over a young server who apologised still no explanation! A supervisor then came over and said that one order had gone through but not the other, it was the fault of the WIFI. I cancelled my meal due to my time constraints, I was given my coffee free of charge. The breakfast that was served was good. We won’t be back very disappointed, to be fair we used to visit regularly before ownership change, definitely not what we expected

After being recommended by many friends, we decided to try out Barceloneta for Tapas and my word we were not disappointed. Every dish was amazing and freshly cooked we will ensure that a return visit is planned with friends.

What a lovely little tapas restaurant! Could not fault the food at all and the service from Alex was brilliant. Also had mojitos which were great. We will definitely be back, thank you!

I'm a vegan and when I booked I asked if there were vegan options for each course, and was told yes! I found that there were a couple of vegan dishes (as well as a huge Paella which I didn't want) Garlic musgrooms, potatos & chick peas between £7 & £8 for a smallish dish (so expensive!). Sorbet to finish - £8.50!! My wife had smoked salmon - 5 very small pieces rolled up £15 Wow! I could have been in any type of restaurant - there was no indication the food we had was Spanish orientated Total cost with 3 average sized glasses of very average wine - £85 Wow! So where were all the vegan options I was promised when I booked - in someone's immagination and a lure to get a customer? VEGANS - Don't go if you don't want to be disappointed. I won't go again that's for sure!

Celebrated my granddaughter birthday at this wonderful place. Great ambience, music and friendly staff. The quality of food, drinks & service were brilliant. The seafood Paella was the best dish and extremely delicious and tasted fresh. Will definitely visit this lovely place again.

This was our first visit to the restaurant with the family. A wonderful experience indeed. A specious and comfortable sitout with great ambiance. Excellent services with a smile. A relaxed atmosphere for drinks and food.

We had a lovely dining experience there. The waiter explained the menu very clearly so that we knew how to pick the right dishes for ourselves, especially in terms of portion. The seafood paella and stuffed mushrooms were served hot and delicious! Leicester is lucky to have this amazing restaurant.

We have been here numerous times and had wonderful food , but tonight , we ordered paella vendoras , potato bravas prawns with chilli & garlic and squid … well paella virtually tasteless , potato bravas the sauce was bland and the squid … battered rings .. not like they were before … what have they done ? Such a shame as I feel cutting corners is not a good idea

Nice place with good music, but the food was disappointing. Maybe 3 of 7 dishes were good. 2 desserts ordered, but poor quality. They served both desserts with solid frozen fruit. Why using garnish that is not edible? The beer was served wrong twice. The price doesn't match the quality.

We visit Barceloneta for our date nights, and always have a fantastic time. We haven't been disappointed by any of the tapas and the Classic Margarita is done very well.
