Caffè Nero in Leicester

Really disappointed ordered 2 regular hot chocolate with coconut milk and because they didn’t have enough coconut milk gave us half a cup and rest was full of froth ☹️ shameful

Sometimes the cinnamon whirls are hit or miss, recently they put out a larger, gooier cinnamon roll that was fire. So overall cinnamon whirls 5-7/10 and the big ones 8.5/10

Waited half an hour for a cappuccino. When I ordered mine, they ended up serving people behind first. Not enough staff.

One of the better Caffe Nero places. We didn't have food but it did look good and well presented.

Got frappe mocha the whip cream looks foamy and DIGUSTING and got pistachio latte and tasted like soap and machine and the person who served it was rude. The pistachio latte was not A pistachio latte at all. Tastes like grass. I usually don’t give bad reviews but this was a must.

Service was shocking, till didn't work and they took at least 10 minutes to seat us without even paying, then came over and told us to go up to the counter to pay and ignored us again for 2 minutes, not to mention the lack of seating

I LOVE the vegan chocolate cheesecake! Keep it up with the vegan options! Table service and student discount on food would be the only things to improve on!

I find the new lot of baristas rude and the coffee is too watery not like before or other branches

Staff members in this Nero’s are extremely high class. All staff members have always been great with customers. Polite, respectful and friendly. I think 💭 Jessica is the manager is an asset to the company. She’s looking after staff, customers & the place. Every single staff member who serves customer, is trained to the high standards. Hygiene is great but, some of the chairs may need replacing whenever is possible.

One of my favourite coffee shops but recently the coffee made by the baristas has been a hit and miss. It would be nicer to get an expected and consistent quality and taste for a regular cup of cappuccino and latte at least. The food is good especially the vegan sausage roll and the pastries!

The location has multiple entrances, a few was closed, and some of the doors were damaged. The decaf coffee was a bit too dark/bitter for our taste. The flow of the shop is not very intuitive, notwithstanding the nature /shape of the shop with multiple entrances, the ground level sittings were not very comfy or cosy, we weren't able to feel relaxed.

Longest time to make a coffee ever.

Location is amazing for watching the world go by. Ordered 2 coffees and cake. Asked for soya milk which is promoted as “on us” … was told I asked too late. Member of staff on till grumbled and was miserable….. common sense and friendly thoughtful customer service dictates that giving 50ml of soya milk is not a big issue, something that shouldn’t be quibbled over……. and the member of staff needs a little staff development!!!

Dog Friendly. Coffee has improved.

We ordered 2 large Macchiato and a cappuccino, one cup was half filled , but other cup on the left on the photo was filled less than half . They charge 2.75 each and was barista didn’t seem to care or interested.

Lovely friendly staff ( especially the gent with glasses) Always a smile on his face ! My caramel latte with oat milk is always spot on.

food is good, atmosphere is nice + warm but the bathroom is dirty. often quite busy so finding a seat can be tricky

Barista with long hair told to his companion 'These guys order most expensive drinks on menu' when he turned to make my drink. Note : I was awailing free coffee voucher. Is this way to speak infront of your customer ? And on top of it, cleaness in store is sick. Looks it has not been cleaned for months now.

The coffee and desserts don't taste bad, but the place is very dirty. The tables and chairs look terrible. There is dust and dirt everywhere on the floor and on the cabinets. It's a shame that this place doesn't look its best. While I was sitting there I was thinking about. Oh what can be changed and improved in the establishment. Probably the manager is not interested in this cafe.

They remember our drinks because they take pride in remembering their customers!

I am not a big fan of overpaying stuff but the atmosphere alone is worth it sitting and relaxing for a good conversation or reading a book. Noteworthy, it's a better place in the morning when there are not many babies which will yell. A lot.

Today i visited this branch arond 1PM with my partner and my dog. Usually the customer service we get from the lady who works here is amazing, but today the young man who served us was awful and rude. We had some food from the fridge on our hand and the man instead of waiting for our order and for us to hand it over reached his hand in a motion for us to hand them over as soon as we told him the first drink we wanted. He did not even wait for the rest of the order before he started making it. We had a few problems with contactless and while we were waiting on wifi to sort it out we could hear him tell his colleague something like "their contactless failed and now they are just doing this" which was highly unprofessional. We have been baristas before and we understand how stressful it can be, but you never talk about a customer in front of them like this. Overall the young man was very rude and unprofessional, and we ended with the drinks wrong (we asked for a small chai latte with expresso and a large luxury hot chocolate and he gave us the wrong sizes on both drinks).

Went in on a quiet Tuesday morning, staff were uninterested to serve, the table hadn’t been cleaned. Look at the state of the furniture. I mean if you can charge £3.50 for a cup of coffee , I expect the overall standard to be higher.

Location great, staff nice, but the place is a dustbin in terms of cleanliness, mainly because the owner doesn’t want to pay for staff to have time to clean (queues are always massive). Best thing to do if you have a drink here is clean your table first, mine was disgusting the tissue turned beige with the dirt. This is not down to the staff, but staffING. People love to line their pockets for profit without looking after customers. If it wasn’t for Three Rewards I’d never return again. Some of the other smaller Nero are cleaner.

Pretty much always unclean, toilets are disgusting - for a massive chain these guys are a disappointment. Baristas are nice though!

This Caffè Nero is so much better than their usual ones as its ideally located, lots of windows to people watch, it's got lots of comfy seats which are spread out so your conversations with friends aren't over heard. Food is expensive as it is with all coffee shop chains but the lattes are very nice as are their cakes.

If not for the location, I wouldn’t step inside. It’s caffe nero. It’s everywhere. Nothing unique. But the this branch is strategically placed for you to enjoy the view and watch people. Large, soft couches where you can sink in and have a quiet moment. I appreciate this. Latte is below average, too diluted, no latte art. Dirty spoon. Barista is like a robot.

This is a great little spot for a coffee. It's slap bang in the middle of the high street but is quite a relaxed atmosphere considering. As with all Caffe Neros you get great coffee and a range of very nice bites to eat.

I stayed in Leicester for a week. This was my favourite place for coffee and reading. I definitely recommend

Such a lovely caffe, this has been my current favourite place to go have a coffee, hang out with my friends and to get some work done! It has a lovely ambiance and the staff are very friendly, you’ll often find lots of people working or studying there! It has a great atmosphere! My favourite drinks here are the pistachio iced latte and the cherry iced latte, they are both so unique and taste amazing! It’s a wonderful combination with the coffee!

The staf was rude ,they refused to give us a chair to stay outside and we are smoking people.

Nice place for a chat, coffee or snack. Can be considered for a date, meeting friends or a small meeting as the ambiance is good, low noise & decent seating area with Friendly staff.

An ideal lunch spot when visiting leicester town centre. Great seating facilities, a good selection of food items from sandwiches/toasties to wraps and mac & cheese. The service for the food to be warmed and brought to the table was quick too. The pistachio ice latte was average, could not taste a single bit of pistachio! Nevertheless, great place to have a quick bite to eat on the go.

Very relaxing atmosphere, perfect to sit and enjoy a drink. I got a mango passion fruit booster for £1 because I used the three+ apps rewards.

I went there for a couple of days, It was pretty fine till Yesterday i went to make a payment , the barman was preparing my cappuccino, i payed with card and It clear sayd accepted on the machine, but then the barman turned and said It didn't go... I made her notice that It said acceppted on the screen , but She made me pay again... I did... Then when i received the notification from the bank, i went straight to the barman to show It, but She said that Is a terminal problem and of i want a refund i have to call the main office.... No received have been left and no manager come to speak to me, not even a simple apology from the barman .. well if this Is the kind of service you have in caffè nero, i Will go somwhere else from today

Poor location in town but lovely drinks witnessed a drunk throwing a glass mug at the door. Bad location for trouble.

Rude. Was served a warm pistachio frappe (as in someone had filled it up with warm tap water warm not room temperature etc and tasted of coffee) came back and was polite, clearly they didn't believe me and was given attitude by the server. Do you want more ice or do you want it remade?! Like chill I was being polite so I expect you to copy my level not going to passive aggressive mode straight the way.

The staff changes often but there were two rude staff members on the 19th of Feb

It's OK, you can tell they are understaffed, but they are trying their best.

Went in today after my appointment I ordered a latte with ice and it was horrible just water and bit of coffee I asked for a fork to eat my pasta I'd bought from tesco I was told I can't eat it in here and then had to go outside and eat it didn't even finish the coffee Never going back!

When it's not busy this particular branch is a great place to sit and relax, especially on a weekday morning.

Staff is probably underpaid cause they forgot about my order few times while I was there but their cakes are great

Always had great coffee at this cafe Nero. Harry was the barista today and made us the MOST DELICIOUS coffees we’ve ever had at the cafe. The atmosphere of this branch is very cosy, very clean. Ample comfy seating. 100% recommend!

Luxury hot chocolate was not it. Overpriced and I could get better elsewhere. My friend got a lemon cake and said it was moist so that’s good at least.

Crowded, short staffed and using that as an excuse to use take out cups inside :( staff your shifts better and stop filling the planet with rubbish! 3 stars instead of 1 because the staff are nice, friendly and helpful) Edit: so they still do the annoying cup thing but I can't fault the staff! They're excellent (Dec 2022) atmosphere only let down by the poor quality loos and outside effects like beggers or noise

Coffee is the best as far as chain brands go. The service is extremely slow here. Also misleading when trying to up sell you single origin bean coffee,it's 30p extra please be upfront and change your policy when offering this as an alternative

A great Café Nero. The service was friendly and polite, the food is the best of all the coffee giants, and most importantly the coffe is nice and strong. The atmosphere in this branch is very relaxed and very well presented. One of my favourites.

I like this place. Food, staffs everything is good. 3 stars only to suggest if the cleanliness could be improved. Have struggled to enjoy my coffee and the good music due to flies trying to have a sip from my cup

Billy Badger, has excellent customer service skills and I always have a positive experience when attending this Cafe Nero on Leicester High Street.

Visited for a business meeting and even though it wasn't particularly busy it seemed really noisy, struggled to hear the barrista when making drinks and vice versa. Drinks were tasty (if a little expensive...£4 for a white hot chocolate) but service was a little slow. No nhs discount either, which both Costa and Starbucks do.

Very good coffee and cakes. To give you an idea of what It looks like imagine if Starbucks would have products that are home made, taste great and remind you about old times when ingredients where of high quality. All this served my friendly staff in a industrial brick layed wall decorated spacious area where you can sit in ultra confortable old style sofas.
