It was early afternoon so pub was quiet. Always a friendly welcome. Just had a couple of pints while we waited for train home. Will be back for beer festival in October and hopefully before then.

Had a takeaway due to the price being one if the cheapest in the local area. 1st of, I couldnt find the place as it was night time and had to drive around twice due to the frontage not being lit up. I Had lamb tika for starter which was OK and compared to other places pretty standard. Then a lamb rogan josh with pilau rice. Disappointed doesn't even describe it. I dont know if it was normal or just because the place was quiet and empty so the kitchen staff missed a few things (9pm Sunday) but the food tasted like it was missing vital ingredients. 1. No chilli even though the menu described it as a medium to hot dish. 2. The sauce was just a plain bland blended tomatoe and onion sauce with no caremelisation of the onions and tasted like they had just been lightly softened before being blended with tomatoes and tasted and looked like it had no garlic or ginger nor any turmaric nor the vital ingredient garam masala and no corriander. 3. The texture was as though thickend with corn powder. The meat was tender and edible though. While I was waiting the waiter was asking if this was my 1st time here and that it wouldn't be my last as the food is very good. Sorry to say it was my 1st and last as will not be going back no matter how cheap the food was.

We stopped here to eat but the kitchen was being refurbed so no food, had a quick drink but service was shocking and would not return.
A little boy came with his dad and the boy was told he was not allowed to eat his ice lolly on the premises, when he stepped outside he was then told no not even in the beer garden or carpark and was made to stand on the edge of the carpark/busy rd - totally understand the no outside food policy but jeeze - a kid with an ice lolly is taking it to the extreme.
Jan did an amazing afternoon tea and was so accommodating with order that catererd for fussy kids and was so helpful with pre order communication via email. Lovely food and great staff
Reviewing as the new (?) Barton Street Pizza. We had a takeaway “Forager”, it was fantastic. Had a drink outside while waiting, staff friendly, can’t fault it! Who would have thought peas on a pizza would be so good! Would definitely go back.
Delightful cafe serving delicious food with a good menu and amazing cakes.
Everything was well presented and homemade.
It's a quaint little cafe and really pretty.
Would definitely recommend and look forward to going back.
Great Place 😁 Lisa always serves the best and freshest tasty foods available, she has a wide menu range and will cater for requested meals off menu if possible , they have a kids menu and the portions available are big ,you could actually share a main meal between 2 people so the prices match the quantity in the meal ,it's fairly priced and a very clean and tidy take away one of the best by far around ! Visit yeung xing and I also suggest you try the salt and pepper range especially the ribs ! .
Great food and good location. Service it spot on and fast. Food is quite authentic compared to what I experienced in Vietnam but it is toned down significantly regarding spiciness (ask them to bring on the heat to make it real). It is more “sit down” food so don’t expect a takeaway meal. I have been there 5 times and so far not been disappointed.
I actually went to the coffee shop on Churchgate a few times during my stay - the best coffee I have tasted anywhere, and other customers were saying the same about the sausage rolls
We ordered a scone with cream and jam and tea for 2 which came in a large pot. Instead of being charged £8.50 for 2 scones each, cream and jam with tea which would of been £17.00 we were charged £19.00 for 3 scones, cream and jam and tea which doesn't make sense to me and you are ripping customers off by selling items separately and making scones the size of biscuits to maximise profits. Hardly a community cosy local rural countryside tea room when all you think about are your own profits. This place closes at 4pm but sauces were being put on the table at 3:40 and customers were being asked to settle up at 3:45 as staff couldn't wait to get out the door!
We wish to have a good meal before leaving Blakeney, and I'm greatful to find this place. There are not much comments about the restaurant on Google map, but that doesn't mean that the restaurant is poor. The restaurant was granted the 2 AA Rosette award and the chef did amazing job from starter to main course. The King Prawn with Focaccia is one of the best starter that I tried for the last few years, the delicious Creme Fraiche become a wonderful linkage of the prawn and the bread. I really wish we order one more. For the main course, the steak & resotto are wonderful and we both agree the hash brown is the highlight and bring the main course to another level.
