Just simply superb!! Called here as my car was in for an MOT at 08:30 nearby. The place opens at 08:30 but the staff came out at 08:20 and said I could come and sit inside. Obviously I was the first person to arrive and was asked for my drinks order straightaway by a lovely and efficient young lady. When she came back with my pot of tea for one £2:30 my breakfast order was taken. Now I know that many people say "your eyes are bigger than your belly" well on this occasion they were totally correct. I opted to have:- The Big Barn Breakfast, 2 x eggs, 2 x bacon, 2 x sausages, tomato, baked beans, mushrooms & toast (either white bread or granary). Oh my god when it arrived it was just amazing and like a true Olympian I worked myself into the task at hand and slowly but surely managed to eat the lot. I think I left one piece of white toast as I literally was a bursting point by then. I can only comment how I found and I saw an excellent establishment with a friendly team who worked well together and produced a simply superb breakfast. Mt total bill for a pot of tea and big barn breakfast was £12:80 and so I put a tip on top as it was just so worth it. I had a perfect breakfast which has set me up for the day. Thank you I will be back again.

Fantastic Breakfast Spot. My wife and I popped in this morning not expecting much however the breakfast was just delicious (Big Barn for me and Smashed avocado for the wife) - not to mention the waitresses were very polite and ‘on the ball’ with serving us promptly and making our drinks quickly. Great spot, very pleased we stumbled upon it, will be returning in the near future 👍

I wanted to answer in reply to the ladies review yesterday as I too was in TLB for lunch yesterday. We've been to TLB many a time and have always found the staff to be friendly and efficient. Yesterday was probably the busiest I have ever seen it but we sat down and got served within 5 minutes. To be honest, had I been waiting to be served for any longer, I would have caught one of the waitresses eye or politely said "excuse me" - I'm sure when the cafe is as busy as it was it's hard to keep on top of who has come into the cafe, especially if customers sit at tables that are yet to be cleared. The food is always delicious - nothing is ever too much trouble - and the cakes just incredible; the flavour combinations are out of this world! Please don't be put off by the review below, such comments can be damaging to a small business and this small business is an absolute gem of a find.

Completely ignored by serving staff. This is the 2nd time this has happened. We were greeted when we walked in and then completely ignored by 2 serving staff. They walked past us at least 5 times without looking at us or asking us what we would like to order. Another couple came in after we had sat there waiting for 10mins to order a coffee and they were served straight away. As we got up to leave 1 on the serving staff was staring at her mobile which is very unprofessional. Will not be going back or recommending. Was really good when it first opened but after 2 bad visits in a row we will not be returning.

Came here recently as part of a group for a works Christmas meal. It was excellent. A nice meal which was still hot when it was served. Much was homemade/homecooked. So often this sort of meal is pretty poor. Here it was pretty good. Would certainly be happy to come again if they could take us. (If we do, any chance of a mince pie or an After 8 with the after dinner coffee?) It has no pretentions to being a classy restaurant. It's a cafe - but it did a really good Christmas meal this year which we all enjoyed. Thank you to everyone.

We visited today and were totally enchanted by this beautiful little cafe in Elstead. Apparently it’s one of the oldest buildings in the village and even has a mention in the Doomsday book! The sunshine was on our side so we were able to sit outside in the lovely outdoor seating area at the rear of the property. There is also parking on site too. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly and helped with food recommendations. The cakes all looked amazing and we were pleased to hear that the breakfast menu was still available at lunchtime so this was what we opted for. The big barn breakfast is enough to satisfy to largest of appetites with great quality sausages (always a mark of a good Full English!) and you could taste that it was real butter on the hot granary toast. The Eggs Benedict was equally delicious and accompanied with a side salad. We couldn’t leave without trying the cakes so opted for a slice of the blueberry cake and a slice of rocky road... simply divine! This little cafe is well worth a visit if you’re in the area and we would highly recommend it to friends and family. Next time we visit I will definitely be trying the Rarebit!! Thank you to all of the team for a wonderful visit xx

We went for a late breakfast today at one of our favourite independent cafes. We were not disappointed. Upon arrival we were given a warm welcome and invited to chose our table. Although covid guidelines have changed the appearance of this shamble chic place a little, it is still welcoming and homely. Serving staff had their visors on and more importantly their smiles. The table was Clean and sparse, as per new rules. Service was prompt, friendly and accurate. We had a build your own breakfast and eggs royale with a latte and americano. It was served promptly, although the cafe was busy, both inside and out. It was freshly cooked to order. We were offered a choice of condiments. It tasted and smelt Devine. As those who come here often will know, you cannot leave with out having a cake either inside or as a take away. So we followed tradition and had a fruit cake and bakewell to take away. The portions are not stingy, so we eat our cakes later in the day. Thanks girls you always make a visit fun and know just when less is more. We will as Arnie says ‘be back’

We asked if they were still serving food when we arrived and they said yes, but the atmosphere felt as though they didn't really want to stay open for us (which we would have understood had they said this). The server had her visor lifted up so her mouth and nose were exposed which wasn't ideal. The food was fine, however whilst we were eating the staff were shouting over us to each other. I couldn't hear my friend talking opposite me as they were crashing and shouting. Totally understand they need to clear up but it made us feel uncomfortable. I'm also pretty sure they over charged us (dividing £16 to £13 each?) but I didn't realise until we had left.

Very reasonably priced menu consisting of a wide variety of breakfasts, quiches and cakes, we settled for a bacon and fried egg bap and a pot of tea. Next time we visit we will be definitely having some of their cakes which look so appetising but we just couldn't manage any after our breakfast. I'm a vegetarian and so bored with the usual run-of-the-mill offerings elsewhere but when I came here for the first time there were really interesting veggie things on the menu and the specials board. There's plenty of meat options too but I had such a choice, I didn't know what to go for. We topped off our meal with a slice of lemon and courgette cake: light, zesty, utterly yummy. To be honest, the choice of cake was tough to handle too.

Visiting our son we wanted something light for our lunch and he took us to the Little Barn Café in Elstead. Very reasonable prices and an interesting menu. It was very busy but we managed to share a table and had a very good lunch. Some of the items on the menu had run out, but there was plenty to choose from. A very enjoyable find.

Quaint. Just what you want. Food lovely and service relaxing. It's just what you would think it will be and as good as you would hope it would be.

I took a dear friend for lunch a couple of weeks ago. she isn't to well, and we wanted somewhere not to big a bustling.a friend recommended The Little Barn cafe in Elstead on the Thursley road.It is a delightful conversion full of character and the staff all so friendly. I think it is family run, so you always get a good welcome in these sorts of businesses. From the moment we walked in we felt very much at home. My friend struggles with lots of space, so this was perfect. The service was excellent, as was the food. We both chose Mediterranean chicken which was delicious, served with crusty french bread,Nothing was to much trouble, the young waitress was lovely. My friend enjoyed it so much, she wants to know when we are going again. I have told her very soon. It is well worth a visit. I know you won't be disappointed.

Have eaten here at breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea on numerous occasions when visiting relatives in the village, very much a favourite meeting place with the locals and the delicious home made cakes can be eaten in the pleasant atmosphere of the café or for take away.

We visited here for lunch on 30th May because we saw it was good for gluten free online. I had vegetable fritters with a poached egg which were gluten free and really yummy and my boyfriend had a haloumi and roasted vegetable flatbread which he enjoyed, there were gluten free sandwiches available too (but the sandwiches didn't sound particularly interesting) and jacket potatoes (although they had run out of these). There were some gluten free cakes available too but we didn't try them. Overall it was tasty and very good value at £13.00 for both lunches and a cordial.

This is a firm favourite for lunch. It has a delightful atmosphere and the staff are lovely. I've never had food I didn't like. I'd like to make just one plea: please ladies make the tea with boiling water. It's not coffee and the water needs to be boiled. Other than that, do go and have breakfast, coffee, brunch, lunch or a party - it's all wonderful

Took two friends for lunch here. What is lovely is there is a brilliant and varied menu which is all freshly baked. The food is delicious and extremely good value. We stayed for tea and cake as well with one friend taking more cake home. Well worth a visit.

Friends arranged an amazing "high tea" birthday spread for me last weekend at this picturesque village and in a very atmospheric Doomsday barn. Everything was home-made - adorable little crustless sandwiches with loads of fillings, the best scones I have ever tasted with a variety of home-made jams and of course fresh whipped cream, as well as melt in your mouth little sponges, decorated with fruit and to top it all Millionaire's shortbread. And to boot as much tea - all varieties - and coffee as we could drink. The table was beautifully laid with spring flowers and the delicious fare was served on proper china-flowered cake tiers. The staff were very friendly and attentive and although I did not pay, I believe the cost per head was extremely reasonable. Forget the Ritz, Wolseley, and Browns - the Little Barn Café gets my vote every time.

The Bluebell is such a great pub. Great location, indoor and outdoor seating, great food and the staff are always really friendly. They are great with allergies and know everything that's in their dishes. The serving staff are always happy to check with the kitchen and make small tweaks to dishes to accommodate.
