Absolutely delicious breakfast. The full works. Couldn't ask for more. Reasonable price too. Friendly and clean. Highly recommend.

Ordered x3 sausage bacon and egg rolls but they forgot to put the eggs on otherwise it would have been OK coffee was made straight away so by the time we had eaten our breakfast it was cold but I would still go there but just might be more aware

Not a pleasant atmosphere, food under cooked to par cooked and cold. I wouldn't return to this place, if I was starving. If your into that continuous sound of microwave going off, then it would be your thing, I had a breakfast rubber sausage, bacon par cooked eggs cold. The coffee I'm sure was microwaved. No way on gods green earth would I set foot in there. There is a better cafe 5 mins away,. A glorified greasy spoon, worst cafe in Great Harwood

My grandad used to eat here over 25 years ago. It's moved about 4 shops down and has a new owner , but the place It's in , in great Harwood is still the same. Thank you for a lovely chat and a wonderful breakfast

Well,I must say. My granddaughter took me for the first time ,in about 5years..I found the food, Excellent..Fresh, Home made,....NOT Frozen....also Hot..Nice and Friendly..I will be going again..Only one complaint.. Port hole toast.. For those of you that Don't know what this is..A slice of. Bread Is square,, the Marge is put in a circle,, So no Marge in the Corners.

Excellent home cooked food and service with a smile . The menu has a variety of choices ....would recomend the specials menu which gives a variety to choose from and includes getting a main, a pudding and a tea or coffee all for fantastic value of £6.00 pounds .

This is a nice village cafe with good wholesome home made food. It is a busy little place a testament to the good food it serves. It has a lot of repeat customers. Good to find somewhere that makes their own stuff

Only called in for a sandwich. Was greeted with courtesy and politeness. The sandwiches were excellent. I will call again and probably eat in next time.

Ordered a small breakfast and it was just enough with toast, I don't have a big appetite. It was hot, properly cooked and delicious! The cafe latte was beautiful too! Staff were friendly, the cafe was clean and tidy apart from a couple of tables that needed clearing, but those customers had left as we walked in.

Lovely full English breakfast good service reasonably cheap nice clean environment and quick too beautiful sausage and bacon that's my recommendation.

Fabulous wide-choice of home made, well-priced food served by friendly, jovial, jocular helpful staff, where nothing is too much trouble for them !

It's been a busy week, eating more Xmas dinners than you can shake a stick at. The Calf's Head on Wednesday - excellent. The Higher Trapp on Thursday - excellent, friendly service but very disappointed with the quality of the food. Today, Towngate Cafe, Great Harwood. The warm and friendly service from Carol, Pat and Winnie was grand. The tables were very tastefully dressed and festive. The Xmas Lunch was the best by far. The turkey was fresh as opposed to processed with the traditional pigs in blankets. Fresh parsnips, carrots and sprouts were served with the crispiest, homemade roast potatoes and creamy mash - everything was hot and very tasty. The main was followed by Xmas pud & custard or trifle - sooooo yummy! We were then served hot/cold drinks of our choice with mince pies and After Eight mints; with no extra charge, all for £10.50!!!!!! We were charged £1.50 for a small cup of coffee at the Calf's Head on top of £16.50 for the meal. If you want a tasty, traditional Xmas lunch next year, served in the best cafe in Hyndburn and beyond, head to Towngate Cafe, Great Harwood. Carol and her A team will welcome you as if you were family. If you can't wait until next year call in for a snack or a meal throughout the year. You won't be disappointed.
