gates were locked on car park before the pub even closed. leaving me and my partner locked in the car park overnight.

Went for lunch today for the first time , had the small fish and chips and there was plenty , and the best fish and chips I've had in a long time , we will be coming back.

Staff very efficient and friendly. Food excellent. Good ambience. Would have no hesitation recommending to others.

Had the Sunday menu, so roast chicken dinners and i had salmon risotto

We have been here several times and always been very good,my sister-law is gluten free and they have always catered for her but l have to say recently it has been a bit dodgy she asked for a chicken dinner last Sunday and it came with a Yorkshire pudding on that wasn't gluten free it was sent back when it came out she was assured it was gluten free but that night she was taken ill and ended up in hospital we think something had been cross contaminated she hadn't had anything else to eat,so people with serious allergy symptoms please take care contacted stanhill pub but management hadn't the curtesy of a phone call sorry to say that says it all

Spontaneous family(4+2kids) visit unbooked but managed to fit us in...all food was thoroughly enjoyed and very reasonably priced. Would visit again.

Went on burger night with a large group all the food was hot, well presented, great service. Only thing that I wasn’t keen on is the food served on a chopping board I prefer a plate but that’s just personal preference

Never disappoints. Good food with regular menu updates. Good selection of beer. The Tap Room is a good option for a pint before/ after your meal.

Visited almost all weeks up until Christmas. Staff usually very friendly and food quite good. My family Christmas meal was a complete disaster. Not the usual staff, except for the man. Not welcomed, told everyone needs to be sitting down, before everyone had arrived. Starters came out to confusion. Was told immediately if anything is not claimed and excess you will have to pay. Spoilt it immediately. Everybody had paid a deposit and I checked everyone had paid correctly at the end. I was asked for a deficit before the last person had paid. No music whatsoever was played despite it being just before Christmas. The food was good but all my family were disappointed we were made to feel like we were in the wrong. I paid the extra which was a considerable sum. I emailed the place but alas did not receive a reply. We have not been back.

The food was excellent the only negative comment I can make is that the table we were sat at was far to close to the next table. We felt like we couldn't have a conversation unless we were whispering . This really spoil the meal .

Visited the Stanhill pub & kitchen 6th April with my family of 16! The food was excellent (all food arrived at the table piping hot and was delicious), the service was also excellent!! The staff are very friendly. We’ll definitely be going back.

Having patronised the Stanhill for many years very disappointing with the older management today, who were quite rude and almost threw the food at us, not very welcoming. Didn’t need a brass band but the welcome we received wasn’t the sort we are used to at the Stanhill! Good job the food is good..

Very Impressed! We live locally and been meaning to try for a while and went midweek for an evening meal. The staff were great, friendly and helpful and the food was excellent! Definitely one of the best places we've eaten at locally, I should imagine we will be trying more of the menu in the near future 😋

Thank you for looking after us yesterday. We had booked 15 settings, unfortunstely half our party was unwell or couldn't make it, including the bithday boy. You made sure we had a lovely time anyway.

Came here for the Sunday 3 course lunch menu with our daughter and her boyfriend, there were a good selection of meals to choose from, we chose croquettes, creamy garlic mushrooms, spicy samosa’s, burger meal, braised steak pie chips and mushy peas meal, eton mess, cheesecake & sticky toffee pudding. OMG the food was absolutely delicious what great choices we all made, everyone enjoyed the food and the ambience of the restaurant. All the staff were very polite and extremely helpful so all in all a really nice time enjoyed by all. We would definitely recommend The Stanhill Pub & Kitchen and will be returning again very soon.

Definitely my favourite place. Once again I thoroughly enjoyed the food. Always presented well and very tasty. The staff are always friendly.

Food is served piping hot. Delicious mushroom starter and both pies, the braised steak and cheese and onion pies are fully filled, hearty and and lovely crumbly pastry. The Yorkshire puddings are oversized and overcooked making them a bit leathery but does not spoil the overall meal. Good value and the staff are attentive and provide excellent service.

Lovely staff who helped to provide us with extra seating for 2 unexpected guests to our group. Thank you much appreciated.

Well, if you haven’t ever visited here, you’re missing out….Went for lunch on Saturday, food was lovely, plentiful and just a treat. Staff so pleasant, couldn’t do enough for you. We were a family of 5, 4 adults and a new baby. The only annoying thing was we have this lovely pub on our doorstep and should be visiting more regularly…we will be back soon and keep up the good work….

A great selection available at the bar, including a wide choice of real ale, making a nice place to visit on a cold day. The Sunday Christmas menu was on today, offering a wide selection of food and options on 1, 2 or 3 courses at a reasonable price. Give the place a try, I don’t think you will be disappointed. I recommend to book a table if you intend to eat, it can be full at popular times.

Came with my fella for a Sunday roast and really enjoyed it. The parsnip puree was amazing. Lovely decor too. Defo come back soon.

The food here is phenomenal. The place itself doesn't look anything special, to be honest, but don't let that put you off. We love it here and would highly recommend it.

Other than the soup of the day, there's not much on the menu that isn't served with chips.

Great little find on our way back home. Lovely looking from the outside and even nicer inside. Stopped off for dinner and got the cheese and onion pie with triple cooked chips, garlic bread for starters which was amazing. Dogs are also welcome which was a bonus for us as we had ours. Children's menu also a good selection. The young waitresses were lovely and attentive. Would definitely come back. (would love to know where the garlic bread was made as it is the nicest one ever.)

Recommended by lots of people. Went on a Sunday, didn’t realise it would be a different menu, but, we enjoyed our meal immensely. Welcomed by young ladies serving and a lovely lad on the bar. Seated immediately and servers arrived promptly. Opted for the duck samosas to start, oh my, they were delicious,. Lancashire chicken and a roast for mains, alas they had run out of roast potatoes, bit disappointing but skinny fries for me and mash with the roast. Food was very tasty, hot and served with a smile, a lovely young lady from Belfast took our order. Booking again for the tapas !! Keep it up and I’ll help spread the good word

We ordered from the Sunday menu. There was plenty of choice. Everything was well presented and very tasty. The service was faultless. Highly recommended.

New chef, New menu been several times Pigs cheeks in cider and pearl barley to night was amazing, if you have never tried you are missing out texture similar to lamb and ever so tender and flavours spot on

Looked good but couldn't facilitate us with a table for over an hour. Unfortunately we were starving and couldn't wait that long.

Very friendly and attentive staff. The menu had a good selection of meal choices. We really enjoyed our food and would certainly recommend going there for a meal. we had the large Haddock, Linguine, Venison Chilli and the Panko Chicken. all of the meals were delicious

Excellent food, had the Sunday roast and it was well worth it. Busy time to be in hence 4* for the service and atmosphere but that's just personal preference, all staff were very friendly and atmosphere was as you can expect for a Sunday roast. Will be back 👌👍

Booked for birthday meal for mother (91) food was brilliant. Tasty and delicious everyone happy..took a cake which was served after meal by attentive staff. They were busy but gave great service . My mother eats like a sparrow so had a kids meal which she enjoyed without wasting any food.

I have been wanting to visit The Stanhill for some time, mainly because of the vegan menu. I ordered the mushroom stroganoff and my partner had the vegan burger, both portions were ample. The burger was well presented and my partner enjoyed it. The stroganoff had quite a lot of sauce. unfortunately the over-riding flavour was 'smoky'. Everything in the sauce had the same flavour. It wasn't enjoyable and I couldn't eat the meal. I mentioned it to the waitress but nothing was actioned, I asked for it to be relayed to the chef. Due to this experience it is unlikely i will visit The Stanhill again. I would not recommend this meal,

Booked in advance and seem to remember they were already full at our chosen time. We were happy to dine earlier. Really good atmosphere when we arrived and although clearly busy, the service was excellent. 3 Tapas for £16.50, really good food. Drinks were reasonably priced. £6.25 for a large Sauvignon that was decent.

visited for a works meal. Really good food and hospitality. You could sense they were understaffed with drinks not being the quickest but that black pudding mash made up for it.

Must say that the meal we had at the Stanhill was one of the best we have tasted of late. Excellent food and service. We'll done.

This is a semi- country pub with a first class kitchen, the cuisine is typical 'pub' fayre but cooked to perfection. My party was a table for six with a baby we were seated comfortably and served politely. We all had starters and all looked excellent and plentiful, I had the crayfish caeser salad with anchovies which comprised of a generous serving of crayfish tails, a few fresh anchovies, lettuce, a few crutons which lacked garlic marinade and a few tasteless shavings of parmisan BUT it was fresh, very filling and good value at £8.00. I chose Battered fish, chips and mushy peas ( totally unadventurous) from an extensive menu but it was first class and excellent value. The Eaton mess pudding was also excellent but slightly overpriced. All in all this is an unpretentious establishment with a very good kitchen and well worth a visit.

Food very good and prompt service and will definitely return my only criticism would be, all 3 staff that served us were very regimented and need to learn some pleasant chat with customers to achieve a more relaxed atmosphere,hope you might take this on board.

Been again today,Best place I’ve ate at for a long time. Excellent service from the young but first class staff. Nice atmosphere and deco in a decent location. A nothing is too much trouble approach to customer service. Definitely be eating here as gain

We are locals at the Stanhill so we go on a regular basis. Over the last year all our favourites have been taken off the menu but we have still visited quite regularly. We were delighted tonight when at least two of our favourites have been put back on the menu. Hope this is a sign of things to come and all our favourites will be back shortly

Plates cold and meal cold not good at all will not go again

Just been for lunch today with my wife. Good quality food served hot and tasty. All the staff were amazing, attentive & polite. Perfect timing for every course and the dining area was pleasantly setup and comfortable. Well done to Brian & Team, a real delight to have visited first time and will be coming back 👍🏼👏🏼

Fabulous Christmas day dinner, brilliant service and staff very attentive, nice digestive pause,s between courses guess where we will be booking for next year. I've never had a more relaxing Christmas day thank you.
