Fantastic place, lovely owner. Dog friendly, even offered the dog treats. Food 10/10 sweet chilli dirty fries mmmmm. Clean and also has a beer garden.

Liked our meal at the New Inn. We ordered a lamb shank and the pepperoni chicken Parm. The Parm was awesome, very tasty and filling. Lamb shank itself was great (although the dish was let down slightly with the veg serviced with it - looked like it was frozen warmed up!). Good food, reasonable price!

The American burger I had was very nice.

Standard pub. Visited on a cold day though and it was freezing so we only stayed for one. There was a fire but that was over the other side of the pub.

Visited as a detour on our way down the motorway. Staff were friendly. Menu looked incredible and I only wish we lived closer to work our way through it! Burgers were amazing and presentation was great! 👌

Good place for a beer and a meal

We'd seen someone attempting one of the food challenges that this place offers on a YouTube clip and decided we had to give it a try! The menu is great, lots of choice and not just the usual run of the mill dishes. If you like the American diner type place, then you'll love this place. The food was cooked to perfection too, it tasted every bit as good as it looked. Portions were great, we all struggled to finish our meals, which was the only downside as I was looking forward to one of their desserts. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond for us. We had travelled over 50 miles to sample the food and we had got there just after the kitchen had closed after the lunch service. The chef had seen us pull up in the car park and realised we weren't locals and came in from her break and offered to cook our order. We will definitely be making the 100 mile round trip back at some point in the near future. Can highly recommend!

Perfectly decent local pub. Only two real ales but both well kept We stayed a couple of nights, comfortable room. Not ensuite but only three rooms; no-one else was there so that was fine Ate a good substantial burger and the breakfast was very tasty

I've lived in Lancaster for a few years and always driven past this pub but never been in. Finally popped in today as the sign outside said "home of the best burger". You know what? They really are flippin' great burgers! A side of wings as well. Really well seasoned fries. Will definitely be in again for another after I've worked off this one.

The food here is amazing, the menu is very limited but I was not disappointed by the quality or the taste of the food. We were served very quickly despite the pub being packed out for a sporting event shown on the TV. Lots of options to drink including some nice choices of fruity ciders. This pub also offers food challenges if you order in advance!

Fabulous food from the messy fries to the lamb shank. Lovely friendly atmosphere and excellent value for money. Definitely recommend this wee pub 😀

Absolutely excellent!! I would check out their Facebook page as some of these photos from reviews on here seem to be very old and don’t want people getting mixed up as what they serve is excellent!! The food is amazing and well prices for the quality. The manager is amazing, he’ll help where he can to make everyone have the best time. Staff are so kind and welcoming, couldn’t fault them at all. 5 minutes from Uni and 5 minutes from the A6/M6! You’ll definitely return if you visit.

Love this pub as its one of the few South of the Border that sells Belhaven Best.

Did the burger challenge.. Unfortunately I failed with 7 chips and half a bread bun left in the allotted challenge time but could not fault it carried on eating and even had dessert keep up the good work guys

Family & dogs friendly place. Great atmosphere, Saturday disco, nice and clean rooms, absolutely amazing food. New owner Agi is nicest person I've ever met. Truly recommend it.

A very friendly pub with a nice ambience

After walking along the canal, stopped here for lunch. Good sandwiches, great chips. Weekday lunchtime -quiet. Sky tv, also outside seating, toilets.

The beer was good and the staff welcoming and friendly but was told as soon as we walked through the door food was not being served which was good because it gave us the option of going elsewhere so we decided to stay and have a drink

If you are anywhere near The New Inn I recommend you drop in for a meal and some real ale... the food is absolutely excellent, well cooked and the staff are attentive and welcoming. The fish and chips are fab with home made chips (not frozen) All the food is home made and home cooked. The Specials board has daily/weekly fab options. We love this pub and have tried pretty much everything on the menu now, and can honetly say there has never been a bad meal...
