Visited with family and friends on a lovely warm Saturday for lunch. We have been before pre- Covid and had enjoyed it and were very happy to discover it is just as wonderful. I was the designated drive so had a soft drink but the others enjoyed a white Rioja which they loved. For the food we had a mix of olives, bread, sea bass, prawns, ribs and mushrooms. It was all excellent. Highly recommended.

La primera vez que fuimos a este bar Tiki y fue fantástico. El ambiente era frío, el personal es amable y los cócteles son geniales.

Visited 130325 - From the moment you step through the door, The Jews House transcends the typical dining experience, entering the realm of culinary artistry. This isn't just a meal; it's a meticulously crafted symphony of flavors, textures, and aromas that leaves an indelible mark. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegant and inviting. The soft warm atmosphere is perfect. The service is impeccable: attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the cuisine. Samantha guided us through the menu with expert recommendations, demonstrating a deep understanding of each dish's composition and origin a genuine passion for her and her partners business. The food? Simply extraordinary. Each ingredient was of the highest quality, sourced with evident care and respect. The presentation was equally stunning, a visual feast that heightened the anticipation of each bite. The Jews House is more than just a restaurant; it's a destination for those who appreciate the art of fine dining. If you're looking for a truly exceptional meal, look no further. Highly recommend Gavin & Sam are true experts in their field. We cannot wait to return :)

We've never had a disappointing meal here—the quality of both the food and service is always exceptional. Our most recent visit was to surprise my mum for her birthday, and it couldn't have gone better. Despite it being a busy time, Lucy (I believe that was her name) went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we were well looked after. It made the celebration feel really special, and we’re so grateful for the extra effort. Highly recommend!

Lilico’s used to be one of my favourite dinner spots in Barnstaple. The tapas dishes were amazing and there was always a good atmosphere so when a friend suggested we go here with our partners for dinner we thought we’d give it a go, first time since it has been taken over by someone else and well let’s just say it will also be the last. Food was bland, probably the worst I have ever had. Cocktail menu was boring. Staff were miserable. And it was dead in there. Such a shame that Lilicos has been ran down into the ground.

Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful Mother’s Day afternoon tea yesterday. We were the party of 8 at 1pm. Myself and my partner. My daughter, her husband and three kids and my son. The food and drinks were amazing. And you managed all of our dietary needs perfectly. Thank you so much. The Mother’s Day gifts were a wonderful touch too. Thanks for everything. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Friendly welcome and lovely interior. Menu didn't state if cakes were suitable for vegetarians and the server had to ask. On her return stated that they only had eggs and milk in them but didn't know if they included gelatine so had to ask again. Cappuccino coffees weren't very hot but were served in proper coffee cups. Had a Dubai chocolate bar cake, but thought it was very similar to a kit kat. Will visit again but will make sure to ask for coffees to be hot, and will try different cakes as they looked good.

My Wife and I recently attended a wedding at 'The Barn'. Fabulous venue, food and service, would highly recommend. We all had a great day however one issue regarding the bar prices, many of the guest's commented on the high prices. That was the only negative, beyond that great, Many thanks for a wonderful day.

Went to La Mancha tonight for our 10 year anniversary and I was expecting good things, sadly we left very disappointed, the food was terrible and sadly the service even worse, we were sat in a corner and basically just left all night, there was interest from the servers at all other than bringing us our drinks at the beginning of the night and our food, they didn’t come over once after that, when the food came all I can say is just wow!! We ordered garlic bread that looked like it was the £1 frozen baguettes from Lidl that had been thrown against the wall a few times and then put on plate, the beef strips were basically just beef strips in tasteless gravy, no flavour what so ever, I ordered some kind of chicken in garlic but it was the weirdest taste, I couldn’t understand what it was trying to be, the onion rings were actually good but really greasy, the potato’s bravas hadn’t seen a tomato in its life, but the halloumi was actually nice, my fiance approached the manager to pay the bill as no one came to us so we could pay, the manager kicked off at the waitress asking why she didn’t take the card reader over but she snapped back saying she’s not had time as she’s busy, my fiance told him he wasn’t happy and was disappointed but he got attitude back and turned away, terrible food and terrible service, he wouldn’t return even if we were offered a free meal, totally ruined our anniversary so thanks for that!!
