La Mancha in Rochdale

First time visiting here, every dish was amazing, fresh and so flavourful. Felt a little unwelcome upon walking in but this was more than made up for by the very friendly and attentive service by the waitress assigned to us. Atmosphere felt very authentic.

Wonderful food as always. Portion sizes are generous to validate price which is absolutely fine but don't feel as though you need to order extras- you won't need them !! Sangria is lush

What a great find. We were staying over night in Rochdale and found this restaurant on-line. The food was amazing - excellent tapas and some very good sangria. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We were impressed by the hard working staff. Would definitely go again if we find ourselves back in town.

Been going for many years. Last time I went. Was on a Wednesday. He's closed on Monday and Tuesday. I was getting the idea that the food had been sitting in a fridge since Sunday and had been reheated. Won't be going again

Wasn't expecting much but the food was really good. Service was good also.

Visited as a party of 8 and were very well looked after by the friendly staff. We preordered our food which arrived with military precision….dozens of tasty plates and no leftovers. Definitely return next time we are in town.

Great little Tapas restaurant in the heart of Rochdale. The choice of Tapas was vast with a very easy ordering system. Every dish was fresh and tasty. There was no rush to move you on after the meal. I will definitely return.

Tasty food, good portion sizes. Staff most attentive despite how busy it was.

We had a party of 7 adults and 4 children. We preordered, the food all came out hot at the same time. It must have been planned perfectly in the kitchen to cater for us all, all at once. The food tasted great and the service was pleasant. Thanks so much La Mancha!

5 star service, 5 star food, 5 star restaurant. Special mention to Adam the chef the food was amazing cannot wait to go back. Thanks also to the friendly and efficient staff making our visit such a pleasure. The food was brought out quickly and all dishes were hot. The garlic potatoes and garlic prawns were to die for. Highly recommended.

Good food. Had 6 portions and bread between 3 of us and we were stuffed. Really good prices. Lovely staff but kind of left us for ages. We had to ask for the bill but on the other hand it was nice not to be rushed out

Authentic Spanish food. Love coming here. Food never disappoints and super fast service. Tonight we ordered Patas Bravas Garlic Potatoes - Oh my goodness I died and went to food heaven with these. Chicken garlic and white wine sauce Meatballs Garlic cheese bread Garlic king prawn Battered Hake And of course a large glass of sangria The atmosphere was lively and we dined early at 6:30pm A fab place to dine, celebrate, or simply indulge. 5 stars

This is our New place to go.... OMG. Never had Tapas before. The food was excellent along with the service. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I was dreading the bill coming we had so much food and that was a pleasant surprise also. Very reasonable for four people. Would definitely recommend a meal here.

Unfortunately we arrived 24 minutes late for our 5pm booking, so were informed we’d been ‘crossed off’. However we were shown to a table where we were seated and settled before being told we had to move to another table upstairs. When our wine arrived it was placed on the table without being poured. The dishes we ordered arrived all at the same time, which is unusual for tapas & consequently some of the food was cold by the time we got around to it. The battered hake and prawn paella were both very good, but the tomato bread was awful - sun dried tomato spread on bread. It was an indifferent experience & due to the unwelcoming service I won’t return.

We have just eaten at La Mancha what a great little restaurant this is! Fantastic menu food arrived hot and freshly cooked each dish was plentiful and very tasty this has to be one of the nicest tapas meals I have had in a long time.Staff and customer service was excellent.. Food is so good we will definitely be back soon.. prices are very reasonable expect to pay twice the price or more in Manchester. Brilliant experience would highly recommend J, C and P

I have never been told to leave a restaurant after a meal whilst tables were empty. This made the visit somewhat a disappointing experience. The food however was lovely and staff were attentive to our table. I really do think the 1.5 hour maximum before being asked to leave should be revisited by the restaurant. This place should it have not been for this would have scored a 5/5 for me. However for the all round experience… it lacked.

Despite the problems they had during the day... a leak, electrical faults then 1 of the ovens blowing up resulting in some dishes not being available , it did not dampen the atmosphere...there was even a brass band! The food was excellent as was the service, hats off to them all!

Good food, wasn't asked if we wanted desert or coffee and we had to leave as someone else wanted the table, which spoiled the end of the night.

Would give it no stars if could. The waitress was asked if they had cider she said I don't know look at the menu . I asked for a house wine and she said err no idea. WHAT?? The garlic bread was 99p savers frozen baguette the patatas bravas in some weird ketchup the onion rings no taste whatsoever again frozen AVOID. Not cheap and the staff literally no idea

Whatever you do, don't order on an empty stomach, you'll end up with way too much! We ordered 10 dishes between the 2 of us and couldn't eat everything, 6-7 would be plenty as portions are good. Cocktails were great, and the staff were friendly. Only downside is that it was ridiculously hot in there and noisy because it was so busy, but apart from that, a great little venue and good food

Wow what can I say! I was told by this place by a friend from work and I can say I’m really impressed, fantastic range of tapas for everyone with great value, very friendly staff with excellent food, will be coming again!

I love this place and it's been far too long since my last visit. I actually got my booking wrong and turned up on Friday rather than Saturday, the member of staff I spoke to seemed genuinely upset for us and tried to fit us in somewhere, but the place was already full. We returned on the correct day and had a wonderful meal, with great service as there is always a member of staff close by. I'm already planning my next visit.

The best Tapas in the North, go and give it a try

This was my first time trying La Mancha, food is great, plenty to choose from. Only downside is I wish the service would have been better, once your food is brought out you don’t see staff again, so we had to keep looking for staff if we needed more drinks. Other than that it’s great, not sure if I would return based on the customer service.

Took my husband for father's day, not been for quite some time, but nice to see long standing staff there. Food was lovely, ambiance great, thank u Alberto for making it special x

It has been several years since I visited here. Back then, you were welcomed by friendly Spanish staff who were pleased to have you in their restaurant. Now it has totally changed and what a shame as the food was mostly delicious 😋. The staff need more training on how to be more attentive towards customers. We had to go up to the bar to put our food order in and ask for more drinks when there actually was supposed to be table service. I clocked one of the water's sat down at the bar, looking over at us, checking her watch. Just rude. With this kind of poor service, I'm very surprised this restaurant has stayed open as long as it has. Such a disappointment.

Have been here a few times, love the food and prices are reasonable. Only problem is, they don't cater for wheelchair users. Even asked if we could order a meal to collect, was told they're too busy to do that.

Waited for ages to receive our order. Think some of the food was ok but not special. A couple of dishes were flavourless. The drinks were a bit expensive. On.the whole not worth the money we spent. Might be a while before we return. Sorry not impressed 😕

Excellent food and service. One of my favourite restaurants in the Rochdale area. Make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment as it's a popular, busy restaurant.

Slow service but quick to bring the bill!. Staff too busy to look after their customers. Poor food, including rice that resembled a brick! Lamb tagine far too sweet. One of our dishes ordered was sirloin steak fajitas. steak came first then tortillas and sauces 10 mins later!. Ordered a dish that wasn't brought to our table but was charged to our bill, so we had to bring to waitress's attention for it to be removed, no apology. First time visiting for our wedding anniversary and had high hopes for this restaurant based on reviews, however, we left feeling really disappointed. We won't be returning unfortunately.

Always very busy, so best to book. Food is delicious. We always get too much but you can take away with you. I love it here.

Visited here Friday for the first time we had a table of 8 and all ordered between 4-5 dishes each and all the food came out at the same time all of it was hot and absolutely delicious! Those garlic potatoes oh my god! It’s a very cozy place but you don’t feel rushed the staff were lovely and attentive! Drinks are a bar service which is better if you are splitting a bill then it’s only food to do that with! Parking isn’t amazing not the fault of the restaurant I think that is just the town centre itself! I will definitely be coming back!

Down a small street just of the Butt's in Rochdale Town centre you'll find a hidden jem of a place. Small and cozy they serve fantastic Tappas. The food is wunderful & tasty. Not expensive. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely recommended.

Lovely Tapas place that's been there for years. Portion size per dish is just right. You'll need about three per person. The staff are friendly and attentive. Charlotte waited on our table and she was fabulous. Highly recommended.

Came here on an early Saturday evening, place was absolutely packed and you can see why, the food was absolutely outstanding, great service and excellent value for money.

Great little place. Great its been open so long. Had a lovely tapas last week and nicely priced.

Sunday afternoon/eve, arrived for our 6:45 reservation. Place is nice, quite smart....but staff needed to be prompted to take our food order....and then waited a good 45 mins for the food to arrive. No comms from staff re waiting time. A brief explanation would have been nice! Got the impression that they had limited kitchen staff, as only seemed able to serve orders one table at a time. Once food arrived it was great, couldn't fault it. Just need to sort out customer service and communication with people and it would be a better rating. In response - Yes I was part of a table of 5. As I say, I cannot fault the food.....but if you are limiting bookings and experiencing delays in food prep/delivery, then I think your customers should be made aware of this and kept updated by staff. Thanks for your reply.

Best tapas I've had. The quality of the food was excellent, service was great and it is really good value for money. We had 9 dishes between the two of us and enjoyed every one. Good portion sizes too. Will definitely be back here, looking forward to it.

We used to come here often however we haven’t been in the past 2 yrs. Food was bland nowhere near the authentic tapas taste and it used to be amazinggg. Tastes of more like british fried tapas . I am certain that is a new chef. The mussels were watery and the tomato bread had absolutely no taste. Good service lovely atmosphere but we are not coming back.
