Definitely worth a visit. I wasn't sure at first, however, I didn't need to worry. I did check the reviews beforehand but they fall short of the praise this chip shop deserves. We live on the south coast and are used to good quality food. This place is a must for anyone visiting Ruthin. The girl who took my order was very polite and helpful. The food we bought was a good price for the very fresh and very large portions we had. Very filling and good quality. The cheese bite was great so crispy and the chicken breast was much better than KFC. The chicken curry chips are a must.

This was situated in a lovely place but we sat inside unfortunately as the weather wasn’t good. On a nice day the outdoor area would be lovely. The dogs were more than welcome and they were given a fresh bowl of water. The food was tasty and served a fresh side salad. Worth a visit

A sunny Saturday evening and no restaurants in town had any space, so our only option was the chippy. Well how fortunate we were. The food was brilliant, well cooked and great tasting batter on the thick cod portions, delicious chips and mushy peas just as they should be. Helpful friendly staff advised us of an idyllic spot to sit and eat our order on the old bridge over the river. It was a delight to sit over the river and savour our evening meal out of the paper . If we are in the area again we will not hesitate to go back for seconds, keep up the great work guys! Best wishes for continued success, John and Caroline

Unfortunately, my experience here was disappointing. First, the staff were quite rude and unwelcoming, which set a negative tone. After ordering my food, I was informed it was a cash-only establishment. Considering it’s 2024, this is highly inconvenient. When I mentioned I only had a card, the staff reacted as if it was unusual, which felt dismissive. This outdated approach, combined with the lack of customer service, makes it hard to recommend this place. It’s only a matter of time before a more modern and customer-friendly chip shop comes along and takes their business. If you're in the area, I’d advise going further into Caldicot for fish and chips.

This is perhaps not the most unbiased review ever as I visited after a very long day walking the Glyderau. However, the fish and chips certainly hit the spot. The staff were friendly too. All told, a very good decision to eat from here.

This has been our favourite Takeaway for quite some time and always had great food every weekend from here. Except tonight, whilst eating my food find a long black hair strand in it, needless to say, my food went straight in the bin, absolutely disgusting 🤮

Ordered chips for the whole family and I received a spoiled savaloy. The rest of the food was lovely but I'm thankful I bit the savaloy and not my children who are both under 2! It smelt bad, tasted horrific. The colour wasn't pinky/red. Instead browny/green. Thank god I realised before I swallowed and spat it out. Certainly won't get food from here again regardless of the rest of the food being okaii.
