Migels fish bar

Llwynhendy, Carmarthenshire
02/02/2019: Called in for some fish and chips for myself and my husband. Both fish were cooked beautifully, they were big and meaty. The portion size on the chips were big, too, it was so nice it left us feeling guilty for not being able to eat it all lol
13/01/2019: I'm a regular at Migels fish bar and it never disappoints. The fish is always cooked too perfection and also cooked fresh too order, the chips are always golden and perfectly cooked. When I go there I tend too have curry sauce and chips and I can honestly say I have never had bad food there and the staff always go the extra mile for you. Best chippy in Llanelli

Moby Dick's Fish & Chips

Dinas Cross, Pembrokeshire
17/10/2018: We are very happy with the food from here. Just round the corner from our holiday cottage. My sister in law struggles with food due to medical purposes, therefore she requires gluten free. We were thinking she would have only one option, however there were varied choices. We are extremely happy with the service and kind welcome we received and would definitely recommend and go again.
30/09/2018: Such nice people. Such great food. Good sized portions (no such thing as "small cod" for example!) and everything was cooked to order.

Jollies at the Exchange

Elli, Carmarthenshire
01/10/2018: My hubby and I serviced our car at Kidwelly today, so whilst we had to wait decided to go into Llanelli to have some lunch since we had left home at 9.45 so we were really hungry by midday. We were greeted with such a welcome and friendly smile. We both had the daily carvery and it was the best we have ever had. There was Turkey and Beef and both meats were cooked to perfection. There was a lovely selection of hot vegetables, carrots, swede, cauliflower cheese, garden peas or mushy peas, mashed and roast potatoes, stuffing and Yorkshire puddings. The roast potatoes were so lovely, crisp outside and fluffy inside, just perfect. The price was so reasonable also just £6.99 for as much as you want on your plate. We cannot wait for the opportunity to return again when we are in Llanelli area.
28/08/2018: Jollies really is a hidden Gem. If your looking for a Carvery you MUST try here.

The Ocean Cafe, Bar and Restaurant

The Havens, Pembrokeshire, <20£
02/02/2019: We had a recommendation to eat here , but the service was not good , the food the fish was a small piece and the chips were not that good , the chicken was dry and the bacon it was wrapped in was like if it was cooked in the morning and just microwaved up , we we not inmpressed at all weather spoons have out shines this place , and they cook for far more people ,
27/01/2019: My first visit to Broad Haven was on a cold and blustery day, so my friend and I called into the the Ocean Cafe for coffee and cake. The staff were very welcoming, and I was happy to see that the cafe area was dog-friendly. The coffee was excellent and the cake equally so. On exploring further, I found that this was so much more than a cafe: the premises also include a bar area and a very attractive restaurant. The extensive menu looks very tempting and I am determined to return at some point for dinner. I can see no justification for the reviews in the "Terrible" section: some people just like to have a good moan but aren't prepared to do it face to face!

Pipers Fish and Chips - Restaurant and Takeaway

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
01/11/2018: Had dinner here this evening and it was absolutely gorgeous. Fantastic fish &chips;, very tasty. The staff were friendly and the service was great. We will definitely eat here again.
23/10/2018: Lovely cod and chips with the pefect amountnof seasoning. Perfect meal after a long walk and a glass of wine.

Josephs Fish Bar and Cafe

Burry Port, Carmarthenshire
07/02/2019: they do really nice rissole and chips and I go there when I visit burry port. it can be busy at times but you now that the food will be freshly cooked to order.
17/01/2019: By far, the worst chip shop i have ever been to. Polish staff member extremely rude along with another woman late 50's. Food was cold, soggy and disgusting. Stay far away from this so called restaurant. Wouldn't get my dogs food from there.

Kilgetty Fish Bar

Kilgetty/Begelly, Pembrokeshire
22/01/2019: Amazing fish and Chips , crispy crunchy batter on the fish, dry fluffy chips , very good value , eat in or take-away .Friendly staff Highly recommended.
13/11/2018: Will have to base my rating on memory because informed upon 1.45 arrival they were closed(whilst staff served a guy standing at the counter). Perhaps I failed th edges code or they didn’t have any cash to put in meter?

The Lobster Pot Inn

St. Ishmael's, Pembrokeshire
03/01/2019: Being based in Marloes over Christmas, we’d expected this delightful, dog-friendly pub to be somewhere we’d spend several evenings and started as planned, with a pint and a bowl of chips on Christmas Eve. We and our soggy Setter were made immensely welcome.
06/11/2018: Food had great variety and was delish, especially the seafood. Atmosphere of fun and camaraderie. Place was buzzing but not too loud...just right. Good memories.

Dyfed Cafe

St. David's, Pembrokeshire
02/10/2018: I'm amazed about the horrible reviews I'm reading here because my friend & I had a brilliant al fresco meal of good sized fish with lovely crisp batter, lovely chips & mushy peas, all served with a smile. The fish was freshly cooked to order so we had a little wait - nothing terrible - and enjoyed a coffee in the meantime. I thought the food quality was great and was also pleased to see the restaurant was trying to reduce plastic usage by providing alternative packaging & felt very well fed & content at the end of the visit. Other users sitting nearby seemed likewise very pleased.
22/09/2018: We have used this fish and chip shop in the past and were, therefore, very disappointed at our visit whilst on holiday recently. We visited with our friends who had also been there in previous years and as the weather was poor we decided to eat in. To of us had haddock and one had cod and the fourth scampi. All were over cooked and the thick batter on the fish was all very hard, and broken bits that came off could have been scratchings they were so hard. The scampi was also over cooked, giving a dark brown covering. The chips were all small and consequently the tiny ones were hard too. Eating in was not a pleasure in the rather basic 'cafe' in the rear, and with no plates provided.

The argosy fish and chip shop saundersfoot

Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire
18/10/2018: I can't understand the other poor reviews, my wife and I vised last week where we both had their cod and chips. Restaurant and cutlery was clean, service and food was good. Our only problem (if you think it might be) is that the portions were very large and I was well full on leaving. Our food was definitely not greasy (Tel No 01834 812161)
11/10/2018: The 2nd disappointing fish and chip shop in saundersfoot. £5.90 for fish and chips, the fish was not fresh and was so thin it was like plaice, over cooked and full of bones. The chips were greasy and overlooked, in fact tasted like they had been warmed up. It was tipping down with rain, they don't take cards, had to run to cash point, wish I hadn't. My instinct told me not to return with the cash, if shop only takes cash (don't declare everything to the taxman!), wish I had gone with my gut. The worst fish and chips along with other fish and chip over the road. Never have fish and chips in saundersfoot, drive to Tenby.

D fecci

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
29/12/2016: For 16 years I've used Fecci's for my Fish & Chip dinner and I can honestly say: I have never had any reason to doubt their hygiene which is important to me and there service is the best and you will always get a smile, even when the shop is very busy. There are other Fish & Chip Shops nearby but Fecci's is the one with Customers lined up eagerly waiting for the best Fish & Chips in the area. I must mention that I travel 6 miles to get to Fecci's because I know it's worth it. They cater for large groups as well. I've worked in large kitchens in big Hotels so I have an idea of what food should look like and taste like, Fecci's do as well. Well done Fecci's. - "Wilfieboy Humphrey" 31/12/2016.
27/07/2016: Had my first fish and chips in a year as found Fecci's do a Gluten Free option! Slightly more expensive than regular but I was more than happy to pay. Cooked fresh to order in 7 minutes and totally delicious! Definitely going back for more

Bayside Chippy

Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire
09/05/2017: After a long drive to Saundersfoot we opted for fish and chips for tea we went to the Marina first but as 3 of my grandsons wanted fish cake and they don't sell them we went in search of another "chippy" so glad we did, where the shop itself doesn't look welcoming the food was lovely all my family agreed that they were some of the best chips we have ever had just proves the saying don't judge a book by its cover....also the food was almost half the price of the first chip shop!!!!
25/04/2017: dont bother looking at this page it has closed down long ago it wasnt nice anyway though! there was a bar there but that has also closed down

Artramont Arms

Llanrhian, Pembrokeshire, <20£
04/11/2018: Having passed this pub on many ocassions while visiting family in Pembrokeshire, 3 generations of our family had a great meal at this lovely pub. The pub itself is full of character with very friendly and professional staff , it was a cold evening and with the roaring open fire it made a perfect place for us to eat. Many Thanks from us all and we look forward to visiting again when we are next in Pembrokeshire!
17/09/2018: We have always had a great takeaway from the Artramont, good portions and good quality. Would like to say the pub is looking nice in its new colour and all lit up. Diolch xx

Jollie's Fish and Chips Swiss Valley

Swiss Valley, Carmarthenshire
03/03/2018: Service was abysmal. We were the only ones in the shop but still waited over 20 mins for chips.Staff very nice but overall selection not very good.It appears that due to a nearby very busy chip shop they only put the chips on when a customer enters therefore the long wait.Either they should try to compete with this other shop or just give up.Wont be visiting again.

Goodwick Restaurant

Goodwick, Pembrokeshire
06/06/2018: Nice relaxing place; our order was taken immediately, and the fish and chips turned out to be most delicious. All cooked to order - really fresh-tasting - most excellent crisp batter - all nice and light and non-greasy. You could taste the fact that they use fresh cooking oil. One of the best plates of fish and chips that I have eaten.
20/05/2018: Very good, cooked to order and good sized portions. The fish was really fresh and the chips just right - the mushy peas were a bit thin.
