Cafe Mor

Pembroke: St. Mary North, Pembrokeshire
02/05/2019: I had the most wonderful GF burger, with bacon, cheese fresh leaves pickles and homemade sauce, fella had the sea bass special in a fluffy white roll with the homemade chilli ketchup. Absolutely gorgeous food and wonderful view of fresh water west beach. We also tried the ice cream in tubs with flakes ... wow !! I had the raspberry ripple and fella had the vanilla, top quality loveliness. Staff are super lovely people who understand people with allergies and can accommodate dietary needs (GF) Super impressed with their knowledge of their food ingredients and food prep areas. Keep up the great work girls we will definitely be back!!
26/04/2019: We were staying at Gupton Farm campsite and they mentioned Cafe Mor in the information leaflet, saying it serves “street food”. I wish they’d been a bit more forthcoming about how special it is! Some information about the closing hours wouldn’t have gone astray, either. Get there before three, and have the veggie burger. Well worth a visit.

Migels fish bar

Llwynhendy, Carmarthenshire
05/04/2019: We have tried Migel's twice after being recommended and have been delighted both times. Fish is cooked fresh which means a short wait but it's worth it. Fish perfectly cooked with lovely light, crispy batter, Haddock on offer too which is unusual in this area. Chips were fine, nothing out of the ordinary. Will definitely continue to use this as our usual fish'n'chip shop when in the area.
23/03/2019: Just had our first fish and chips from Migels - they were fantastic.

Jollies at the Exchange

Elli, Carmarthenshire
19/03/2019: Visited several times and always go for the carvery. Loads of choice, good service, polite and happy staff and change from a tenner. Can't fault it.
15/01/2019: Ive started coming here every sunday since december with my partner. The carvery is absolutely gorgeous. The turkey and stuffing are to die for. Even my 4 month old baby has taken a liking to the gravy. Will continue to visit.

Moby Dick's Fish & Chips

Dinas Cross, Pembrokeshire
05/05/2019: Friendly welcome every visit. Can get busy as it is so good. Good point is that you can plaice (sorry couldn’t resist) your order and nip into pub next door while your food is prepared. Typical chip shop menu available.
03/05/2019: Freshly cooked fish, good chips and friendly staff....can’t really ask for much more than that and would recommend them. Cash only for payment so make sure you have money on you.

Pipers Fish and Chips - Restaurant and Takeaway

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
28/04/2019: We visited the venue late at evening after a wonderful day of sun. Although the chip shop was very busy we received excellent service. Prices were reasonable. Portions where great. Would visit again.
27/04/2019: We chose Pipers as it seemed to have good reviews on Tripadvisor. Tenby has its own harbour and it's boats land fish, crabs and lobsters everyday, along with some shellfish, so you would expect to eat good fish and chips. Sadly, we chose badly as our meals were disappointing, possibly because we left getting to the shop around 7pm, not realising it shuts at 8. We were warmly greeted and were offered window seats according good views of the passing people, engaged in every imaginable activity, really! After ordering our fish and chips, with the obligatory mushy peas we enjoyed a glass of Morovian white wine which was similar to Pinot Grigio, until our meals arrived some minutes later. The fish was freshly cooked and was very tasty, the small portion of mushy peas didn't satisfy, but the chips were dreadful, cold and reheated. We left most of the meal after devouring the real good fish, but paid up and left.

D fecci

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
04/05/2019: I have to say we were quite disappointed with this place. I don't have an issue paying premium prices for high quality, however this feels like a tourist trap. The sit down prices are bordering on restaurant prices and whilst the fish seems of a high standard the rest of the menu doesn't know where it belongs. A venue such as the reputation of this should have a consistent level of quality across the entire menu however most of it is priced way above its level. The pies are bog standard, the chips average, the gravy etc again as you would expect from a back street chippy. I kid you not a pie and chips and a curry sauce and chips cost £18, a price I would have been happy to pay for a mouthwatering home made pie with chunks of meat, fresh crisp chipped potatoes and a homemade curry sauce worth of any Chinese restaurant. In fact what we received was an average chippy tea with a tourist tax of 100%, you'd be hard pushed to pay as much as £9 for what we ordered in most towns, £18 was nothing short of insane.
01/05/2019: Having walked the coastal path from saundersfoot we were disappointed to find that by 7 pm most fish and chip shops were closed. Fecci’s however was open, providing excellent fish and chips which we ate on the front

The Ocean Cafe, Bar and Restaurant

The Havens, Pembrokeshire, <20£
01/05/2019: Had birthday evening meal at the Captains Table. Good choice of food, well presented and good wine menu. Service was great and all enjoyed a birthday party on our first night on holida.
25/04/2019: Previous reviews will testify that I like this place so please take this review in that context. We had a very muddy dog in the car so the sign saying take away fish and chips was a great attraction. The fish and chips were fine but at £9.99 a portion far too expensive. Felt a bit cheated to be honest. Will be back to 'eat in' again but won't bother with a takeaway. Shame.

Kilgetty Fish Bar

Kilgetty/Begelly, Pembrokeshire
28/04/2019: Fish was lovely, chips were good and reasonably priced. Indoor seating and good location close to train station and bus stops.
20/04/2019: Have to say the chips were nice but worth the 40 minute wait....definately not. Serve people like every other chip shop does i.e give them there food when they order and pay! The 40 minute wait was for chips and sausage in batter x 3 not even any fish!

Josephs Fish Bar and Cafe

Burry Port, Carmarthenshire
23/03/2019: Called in quick to get a fish only to see staff eating out of the chip warmer using their fingers locking their fingers and then go to serve me NO thank you absolutely bloody disgusting needs closing down come on owners teach your staff basic hygiene
22/03/2019: Great place to get takeaway fish and chips, and take Them down to the beach to eat, chips are always good and fish is cooked to order. And it's open every day.

The Lobster Pot Inn

St. Ishmael's, Pembrokeshire
26/04/2019: Had a beautiful meal here. On walking through the door the place was very spacious, clean and the lady serving behind the bar very friendly. We had our dogs with us and due to the weather being great was able to sit outside in the beer garden but was surprised with the large field that the dogs loved for running. Would definitely recommend a visit.
14/04/2019: We popped into The Lobster Pot after going on the 1 hour boat ride out to Skomer Island from Martins Haven. The food was good and served by friendly staff. The homemade chips were great!

Dyfed Cafe

St. David's, Pembrokeshire
22/04/2019: Quick service, excellent fish & chips and such lovely friendly people!!! Under new ownership and management, so give them a try even if previous ratings weren't as good! We had a lovely day in St David's which ending with a super meal here!
02/10/2018: I'm amazed about the horrible reviews I'm reading here because my friend & I had a brilliant al fresco meal of good sized fish with lovely crisp batter, lovely chips & mushy peas, all served with a smile. The fish was freshly cooked to order so we had a little wait - nothing terrible - and enjoyed a coffee in the meantime. I thought the food quality was great and was also pleased to see the restaurant was trying to reduce plastic usage by providing alternative packaging & felt very well fed & content at the end of the visit. Other users sitting nearby seemed likewise very pleased.

The argosy fish and chip shop saundersfoot

Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire

Llanrhian, Pembrokeshire, <20£
21/03/2019: a cosy pub nice fire welcome staff always a good beer on tap the food is good and wholesome will be back again
04/11/2018: Having passed this pub on many ocassions while visiting family in Pembrokeshire, 3 generations of our family had a great meal at this lovely pub. The pub itself is full of character with very friendly and professional staff , it was a cold evening and with the roaring open fire it made a perfect place for us to eat. Many Thanks from us all and we look forward to visiting again when we are next in Pembrokeshire!

Bayside Chippy

Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire
09/05/2017: After a long drive to Saundersfoot we opted for fish and chips for tea we went to the Marina first but as 3 of my grandsons wanted fish cake and they don't sell them we went in search of another "chippy" so glad we did, where the shop itself doesn't look welcoming the food was lovely all my family agreed that they were some of the best chips we have ever had just proves the saying don't judge a book by its cover....also the food was almost half the price of the first chip shop!!!!
25/04/2017: dont bother looking at this page it has closed down long ago it wasnt nice anyway though! there was a bar there but that has also closed down

Jollie's Fish and Chips Swiss Valley

Swiss Valley, Carmarthenshire
03/03/2018: Service was abysmal. We were the only ones in the shop but still waited over 20 mins for chips.Staff very nice but overall selection not very good.It appears that due to a nearby very busy chip shop they only put the chips on when a customer enters therefore the long wait.Either they should try to compete with this other shop or just give up.Wont be visiting again.
