Y Mabinogion Pysgod a Sglodion in Gwynedd

This is perhaps not the most unbiased review ever as I visited after a very long day walking the Glyderau. However, the fish and chips certainly hit the spot. The staff were friendly too. All told, a very good decision to eat from here.

5 star moved from village few years ago came back and same service and quality cant be beaten highly recomended xxxxxxx

The worst fish n chips ive had in my life!!! Cold limp chips and they had run out of haddock so had stale breadcrumbed plaice. Did not take cards Avoid at all cost

After a few years away I’ve moved back to the area and decided to treat myself And my grandfather to a Fish and chips from mabinogions. This place is consistently fantastic, great + speedy service, and literally best chips for miles. Make sure to visit when you have a chance!!

Lovely chips and a great sausage. Spent 2 days here and visited 3 times. Just could not get enough. Curry sauce was outstanding. Ladies were also lovely. Overall 10/10.

We were staying down the road at Ogwen Bank and arrived a couple of hours before we could get in our lodge, and we were starving after a long drive, so we drove back down the Bethesda looking for some munch and saw this chippy. Staff were very friendly and we had the BEST chip shop chips I've had in a really long time, SO tasty!

I'm surprised about the positive reviews of this place, as it was one of the worst chip shops I've been to. Unfriendly service which took ages, the fish was wet, but with batter burned to a cinder, the chips were stodgy. Perhaps it was because I'm not a local (they were all served before me, even though I came in before them), or perhaps it was just a bad day.

I genuinely thought I'd found the nicest fish and chips in north Wales when I went to Seawave in Menai Bridge but the I had fish & chips from here - well there is no comparison absolutely first class and a great portion size

One of the best fish and chip shops in the area, the portions are enough to feed two and very tasty, the staff are very friendly and a warm welcome whenever you go there highly recommended.

As the title says I have never had a bad bag of chips! Always served with a smile and the fish is amazing. If your passing through Bethesda make sure you get yourself a bag of chips from Mabinogs

No sé si fue un mal día o no, pero el pescado era una delgada franja de pescado y gris en la empanada slimiest flimsiest que he tenido, no podía comer la empanada, era realmente horrible, nunca he encontrado nada como antes. No me puedo quejar al personal, eran educados y atentos, a pesar de estar presionados en su pies por órdenes de la escuela.

Simply put these were great fish and chips we were served on a outing in Wales. Light batter on the fresh fish, good portions and a decent price. Staff were friendly and I would recommend this place to anyone
