How this place can call itself a Chinese is beyond me it was absolutely disgusting I dint even know what the food was , gloop? Spent £40 here phoned to complain they continued to hang up the phone would not recommend

Absolutely outstanding again second visit in 4 weeks after coming over to visit family and I must say what a lovely experience the owners are such wonderful people and the food quality is exceptional we had battered fish which was lovely crispy batter and very tasty also Salt and pepper special mix chicken, beef ribs and chips and sweet and sour chicken balls and Chips piping hot indeed I Would highly recommend a must try when in Abergele 👌🏻🙏🏻

Lovely food, freshly product and stayed hot till we got home. Busy Friday night but I personally think that’s a good sign.

Went Friday evening. Fish fried fresh. Served & wrapped in about 6 minutes (3 weeks ago Robs Fish & Chips took 1hr 20 min for the exact same order. The wait was appalling and the chips were awful. Despite a denial by the owner, aided by his “selective” CCTV evidence. I can assure everyone that the long wait was as true as the service is bad). The staff here at the Jolly Fryer are efficient and friendly. Ate them on Pensarn beach. They were absolutely delicious. Will definitely return again when staying in the area. Well done Jolly Fryer !!

Go every Friday night on our way to our caravan, food is delicious and staff are friendly and efficient. Love this place

Bought our tea from here last night. It was very busy which is a good sign. I had Chicken and Green Peppers in Black Bean Sauce with Rice whilst my husband had Fish and Chips. The food was extremely tasty. Would visit again.

My late Mum could spot an excellent chippy and so she did with this one. When we visit Abergele to stay in our caravan this is always the first point of call. Freshly cooked Fish and Chips and excellent Chinese food it is the highlight. Order your fish as you go in...jump in the car and head for the beach. Fabulous. We can't wait to go back.

called into the jolly fryer, fish and chips were lovely, chinese curry sauce is to die for, ans Casper the dog loved his chicken portion.

As its just around the corner been going here for five years,its hit and miss, it all depends on the chips if you are lucky and get fresh chips its OK if not its the bin. Never complained until a few weeks ago where I said chips were not edible and that I had never complained before. I ordered chips curry while telling her. She did not seem to care what a regular for five years was politely telling her. I paid full price thanked her said my goodbyes and will never go back

Nice food. There can be a bit of a wait for food on busier times of day which is expected, however food is still good quality. Definitely recommend the sweet curry sauce.

We've been there twice during our stay in July 2017. We've tried six differnt chinese dishes and they all have been nice and tasty. Good food for a reasonable price.

I had stopped at this place for the first time and I had ordered some lightly battered fish and chips . went to sit on local car park to eat clearly the fish had not been lightly battered it was terribull and the chips weir very hard in the center so I dumped it in the bin what a waste off money then drove my 2 hour drive with no food I shall never eat from this place again.

So how do you feed a whole family who had all traveled from many areas of the UK for a family event quickly ? Come here as the food is excellent . Clean place , lovely staff and quick

I have had Chinese takeaways from there twice and they were great both times. The king prawn noodles are lovely and tender.

Amazing salt n pepper chips with proper curry sauce and well cooked sausages Very impressed with service and food Will definitely be back.

Its not called the jolly frier any more , its called sunshine house ,to save any confusion ,my partener and I had a Chinese from there last night , we both enjoyed it very much ,

A great little takeaway that is clean tidy and friendly serving both english & chinese foods all made to order.

The Chinese food here is lovely, and the salt and pepper chips a must. Certainly worth a try. If you're self catering in the area

Chicken and chips and battered sausage, gravy and chips. Burnt chips and disgusting batter. The burnt smell when i removed the wrapping put me off so i binned them. Everyone burns things, but for a take away to serve them is shocking. Never again

Called from way from beach...and what a disappointment.No parking nearby...parked on path.Food disgusting...soggy chips and fish was thick with un cooked batter.My 1st visit...and will certainly be my last.

It's a nice local chippy which does everything. Very highly recommended. Good food. Very hot not cold. Try it then judge.

best chippy i know of...very good chips, homemade chicken curry & southeren fried chicken are always good.They are good with my kids too, which was unexpected.
