Best fish and chips. Food was cooked fresh and received in a reasonable time. Prices were great as well. Would eat here again when in area. Friendly staff and convenient location.

Really disappointing food and service. There are much better options around. Dry fish that resembled battered shoe leather. Rude staff who were too busy talking to service in a friendly manner. One to avoid if our experience is anything to go by.

I'm sorry I've lived here over 2 years....anyone who comes here to stay we get an Archways.... so proud we are! We only get F&C every 6 months and thought tonight we would have a 'treat' but that was obismall. I begged my husband to take it back.... not one to make a fuss he wouldn't! How long was the fish under heat lamp? Have you changed hands? Won't be returning......

A very poor excuse of a chippy. The pie was like a rock. Don’t bother with this place. Over priced and terrible food. It’s all about the location with this establishment.

We wanted to try someplace new and decided to come into the Archway Fish & Chips as we’d been wanting to come here for a while now. The service was nice, the interior decorations were fetching and definitely fitting for a seaside fish and chip restaurant. We ordered the sausage and chips, and the chicken burger and weren’t disappointed at all. The sausages were lovely, the chicken burger was quite nice but didn’t have a ton of flavour but the chips were very good. They give you a good portion of chips on the side. I’d come here again, for sure.

My son ordered takeaway tonight large sausage, and large chips twice for his brother and himself. Got them home and it looked like they'd put a small chips in a big box but still charged for the large obviously. Scamming a teenager not a great look I'm afraid, we are regular customers but I doubt we will return any time soon. Huge shame as the food is very good.

Gluten free brilliant,I've always had peas never dry, chips excellent gravy and curry sauce always good,have takeaway here every week,and great value .yes chit chat with colleagues,and customer, it's a fish and chip shop,! ,clean , good value , consistent,high end for the area !

My favourite chippy, we travel over an hour to eat here and sit on the beach, chips always crispy, fish always flaky.

The chips were delicious although there were a lot of bits too. The battered fish was a disappointment. The batter was soft & the fish dry, as if it had been standing for a while.

This is kind of a let down. The dine in area is next door. The service was very slow. The take away seemed to be much faster. The fish (cod) was not the best and the portions were too small for the price they were charging.

The staff bent over backwards to accommodate my large family. The food was delivered remarkably quickly and was so good, and piping hot. They were all so kind and helpful. Many a wonderful family memory for us all.

Perfect - a fish and chip shop with seating. No seagull was going to dive bomb us! Lovely food, we all cleared our plates, friendly staff and just a short walk from the short stay car park.

I make up excuses to drive to Conwy just so i can have fish and chips here. They're delicious. Squeaky clean shop, great friendly service, faster and healthier than a drive thru.

The worst fish n chips take away we've had in a long time. Fish was thin and tasteless more like processed fish. Only nice thing was the chips tho not enough of them for the price.nice. Service was bad. Young lad was disinterested just checking his phone. No thank yous, enjoy! Or sign lo life!

Friday evening was very busy, but we were seated swiftly. Our dog received a very warm welcome (and a sausage) and menus were brought over swiftly. Very tasty haddock and plaice arrived quickly - hot, fresh and ample portion. Good friendly service too.

As other reviews have said, we come here regularly but it's really gone downhill. Slow, laissez-faire young waitresses, damp salt pots, disappointing food, including soggy chips and horrible peas.

We had cod ,chips and mushy peas first class,it was busy,service was friendly and quick,the only problem was the bottle beer was expensive.

My cousin and myself were in Wales for a week in September. We visited Conwy town for the day and with recommendations from a person whom we spoke to that day we decided to visit The Archway's and we both got the deal which was fish and chips each with bread and pot of tea. It was the nicest fish and chips I have tasted thank you

Food was absolutely rubbish, mash potatoes 🥔 not chip's, when taken back, cold greasy chips, cold clogged curry, and they were thrown at me and not given to me ,awful service wouldn't recommend to any one

The fish and chips I had from here were absolutely delicious best I've had for a long time. Will definitely go there again. Chips are fab crispy golden and not all clagging together like some outlets. I ate every last one outside in the sunshine in the nearby square. Prices are good too. Loads of benches and a fountain to enjoy. Al fresco dining on the cheap.

Superb, fish chips, tuna salad sandwich, pot of tea, all delicious, our family all agreed, clean plates all round. Dog friendly too, our dog was very quiet and well behaved. The staff were very polite and attentive. Would definitely return next time I am in Conway. The whole inside filled up quickly so get there as early as you can for lunch or be prepared for a wait, it will be well worth it

Ordered 3 fish and chips and 2 sausage and chips. The food was cold and all very tasteless. The fish was flat and very dry. 0 The sausage and chips consisted of 1 small sausage and some chips. Not even enough for a child. Very disappointed as were my family from London. Won't be coming again.

Good fish and chips. Also had children's meals, which was good. We were surprised that the other 2 fish and chip places in Conwy didn't have their restaurants open so found ourselves at Archway, but we were very pleased with the meal.

One person serving and one cooking orders in the back wasn’t enough for how busy the shop was. Very polite young lady got a little flustered and missed off some of our order. Didn’t realise until we got home 5 miles away.

Terrible slow service as the staff were more interested in banter between themselves. When the food eventually was served the fish, whatever cheap version it was (not Cod or haddock), was overcooked. The batter was rock hard and the fish thin, hard and dry. Not worth the wait or money.

I don't go here often enough it is always clean and tidy. A very good choice of hot food to take out or there is a restaurant you can dine in with table service if I am going to one of the chippys in Conwy this would be my first choice every time

Got the large cod fish an chips with a gravy. Fish potion was decent and reasonably thick in the centre. Batter was crispy and not soggy. Fish moist. Gravy was thick and tasty. Chips were cooked well and not soggy or greasy. I recommend the archway. Hopefully your experience will be as good.

Lovely food, fast and efficient. Just what was needed after a trek up Snowdon. Portions were good. Maybe a little bit pricey.

Fabulous! Highly recommended. This place is brilliant for food intolerances. I ate in the restaurant part and had gluten-free fish & chips. They even had gf Peroni. The back of the menu is great for check ingredients. **NOTE** The restaurant closes at 1930 hours, which isn't clear on google, but the takeout counter is open until 2100 hours.

Bought 3 lots of fish and chips almost £25 , absolutely awful , the batter on the fish was rock hard , hardly any fish inside it , chips were dry and hard.
