Lovely fish and chips. I took them down to the beach and we sat in the car eating them while looking out to sea. Give it a go.

Not what it used to be when Dot and company ran it. Though it looks new it could do with a good clean of the stainless steel fronts. Covered in splash marks and just dirty

Have always been highly satisfied with quality of fish and chips at Rob,s but today I paid £2.70 for a regular portion of chips, this is extortion in the extreme, my regular chippy but I won’t be back.

A lovely Chip dinner freshly done brought to me on my scooter staff could not do enough for me I will definitely use them again and recamed them thanks a lot

OMG, it's gone down very fast since the fryer left.now you get fish and other items cooked in brown batter. That means you will visit the toilet next day, we will NEVER COME BACK AGAIN. Also very expensive,2fish,1 chips,1small peas and chicken nuggets and potato fritters, £32.

Food is great but service is just important! No signs saying which door to use and I waited to be served by the till when a lady came in through opposite door and was served first. I politely asked as if I had used wrong door and was told yes and to wait. I left and won’t be going back 🤬

Great fish and chips but can be very busy

Chips were not cooked properly worst chips I've ever had what happened. last time I visited it was lovely now I won't go again £20 for 5 lots chips 4 with curry that weren't even cooked threw them all in the bin

Nice crispy batter on fish. Choice of small and large fish. Fluffy chips. Nice chicken nuggets, could have gotten more.

I thought I'd found a perfect chippy, that give you a bag of chips, with no poxy trays and I did. I had a bad experience one time, where I ordered fish and chips twice. When I got home and opened the fish it was absolutely caked in fat. It was that bad it was dripping from the paper. My wife and I were not happy and so I took them back and got a refund. Ps, the service is ultra slow!!

My wife and I had cod and chips each at lunch time. For some reason my wife’s regular cod was really tiny and you could literally count the chips as there were approximately a dozen of them. When I complained the man behind the counter laughed in my face. I was appalled and very annoyed. He just said he doesn’t own the shop and come back tomorrow when Mike and Jeanette who own the business would be in. We were just passing through so that wouldn’t be possible but if they’re as ignorant as he was couldn’t see the point anyway. David

The Owner was Very Rube , He has an Aggressive attitude towards his Customers !.... Even Children !.. He needs to change his ways and Calm Down !.. However on the plus side we Enjoyed our Fish and Chips !.. I managed to get out of his shop Unharmed !!!.. I will Not Be Going there Again !.. Sorry Sir 🤔

Went here as a child while on holiday down the road in a caravan. Almost 40 years later I brought one of my daughters on a nostalgic car trip and was not disappointed, still amazing food and the cheese and onion fry it's 🤤🤤🤤. Bringing my parents next time ❤️

I love the pensioners fish and chip deal so happy to qualify for this discount considering I was only 15 when I first joined the queue. Shame it was greasy and taste's like wet rubber.

Have to say they are the best fish and chips I have ever tasted. Every time I visit this area I have to call for my fix. I like in Merseyside and I wouldn't think twice about driving the nearly two hours trip just to get fish and chips from here. Staff are friendly too so added bonus.

Although the Fish and chips were nice I was disappointed with the portion size for the cost of the food wouldn’t like to see the size of a small portion of chips!

Recently had large Cod & Chips and Curry Sauce. Large Cod terrible. Wafer thin and batter schewy and burnt. Chips overcooked and mostly inedible. Fruity Curry Sauce was actually nice. Service and price good. But they really need to improve the Cod. Better quality ingredients needed. I personally would pay more for a good fish. Very disappointed as used this Chippy for 25yrs. Been twice recently and very disappointed. I understand it's difficult for business to survive with costs rising. But my insole in my shoe would've made a better lunch treat! 🙃

As a local we've been visiting this Chippy occasionally for many years. We are however becoming more disappointed by the quality of the food. The prices are good as obviously people are shopping around for value for money with the crisis if living. But personally I would rather pay a bit more for better quality Fish (Cox) Chips and peas. Last two recent visits the large Cod is so thin it might as well not be their! The batter was over cooked and of a chewy consistency. The chips over cooked and chewy. Many of the chips inedible. The food quality has certainly gone down hill since the business makeover. Does Rob Parkin still own the business? Staff very friendly and helpful. Obviously hard working as is always busy without many local competitors nearby. I think maybe a bit more attention to quality ingredients may help. Seems virtually impossible to get a decent fish & chips from Rhyl to Abergele. Probably lost our valuable custom dye to poor quality food. Nevermind. Hopefully the owners can take a positive spin on reviews like this to help improve there well established business.

Food cooked perfect quick service and very big portions would use again.

Everything was cooked fresh and tasted great. The queue was out in the street which say a lot. Plus you can phone your order through for pick up.

When entering staff ask if you want fish so they can freshly cook it Staff are very nice & friendly Fish and chips were very nice & so was the fruity curry sauce Highly recommend

Popped in today for a fish & chip dinner on the last day of our holiday in the area, & they certainly did not dissapoint, been coming here for years & we have never had a bad meal from here.

Fish cod plaice was amazing (chips proper job) o. r .& curry sauce. Telphoned order was all serviced in a timely manner. Towyn should be so proud of you all for making a seaside takeaway so special . We will be back, Albie Jones family.

Cod and chips was fantastic. £5 lrg cod great value. Chips were well nice. Will go here again next time we are in the area.

Went to Robs as it seemed to be the best reviewed in the area. The food did not disappoint. The fish and chips were bang on, curry sauce was delicious and all cooked fresh. Prices were surprisingly cheap for a seaside area, even lower than the costs in my home town. This was a shock I we had become accustomed to overpaying for subpar food all week in other places in the area. The gentleman behind the counter (Rob?) Heard we had a super fussy in our party, went out of his way to find out his name and gave him a free potato scallop or fritter in my area to test. This went down really with my son, giving another of very few options to eat and us for his kindness and help. I highly recommend anyone holidaying in the Towyn/ Abergele area to visit Rob's Fish and Chip Shop as you will not be disappointed

This has to be the slowest service in a chip shop EVER! One really slow person serving...2 speeds, slow and stop!. It's the same every time you go in. I am now changing venue as I can't stand the painful wait. DONT use this chippy if you are in a rush.

Not at its best, service very slow, food warm I.e fish, very young lady along with a older man who just seams to take your order and money

Best chips, worse service ever encountered in a chip shop. My husband refuses to go . To start the food is fabulous . The staff are fabulous the service is shocking. Qued & timed on my watch to ensure I was not exsagerating. 20 minutes and I had not moved 1 inch on the pavememt. Approx 10 people infront of me. It was 15 minutes before the first person came out. It was 40 minutes before I got to the door. Family of 4 inside had waited 1 hour for 2 x fish & chips & 2 kids meals. The girl serving lovely & pleasant however so slow. Wraps 1 piece of paper & then another. I watched at least 3 people walk out of the que. Honestly Rob's I dont know how you are making any money. 55 minutes the man in front of me waitex for 1 fish. The moral of this write up is unless you have 1 hour plus to wait for your tea dont bother. If you go up the road you will be in and out in 5 minutes.

Read the reviews saying how good it was, so decided to try it. Maybe I picked the wrong day or was just unlucky. The fish was cooked whilst I waited, which I was happy with and the lady serving was very nice and polite. However, the fish was very greasy, was quite a thin piece of fish and some chips were inedible, as they were too hard. Shame really, as I was hoping for good things. Probably would try it once more though, just to give them a fair chance.

Waited 55 minuets in the que, you don't even wait that in a top end restaurant! Chips absolutely awful fish wasn't even battered properly. It used to be a good chippy. Won't be returning

Went to Robs today for our tea whilst staying in our caravan at owens in Towyn always use Robs chippy all year through out holiday season as food is amazing and has been for years we highly recomend the fruity curry sauce with your chips it is delicious trust me you wont be disappointed also generous portions of food and good prices for what you get Robs chippy is only up the road from Towyn at Pensarn so well worth going there for your dinner or tea its really nice hot cooked fresh food always.Staff are all nice people too excellent customer service.

We can’t wait for the caravan park to open in March so we can visit our favourite fish and chip shop again. We have never had better fish and chips and have started getting the spicy curry which is lovely. Fish was so greasy you could ring out the grease. It was running off the paper it was wrapped in. Dripped on to the floor. Chips had so many bits in, you could play spot the chip. Never again

The most fantastic chips from a chippy, lovely fish and battered sausage, and delightfully sweet curry sauce. All for a dang good price of £21, fed 4 adults and 2 kids, noice!

Great refurbishment and new canopy make a striking difference to this shop. The quality of the fish and chips remain superb every time. Freshly cooked to order and always in more than ample portions.

Good food but if you want a tray or a fork you are charged extra. Felt that these should be part of the package. Food cooked to order so was fresh and more importantly hot. Would recommend the food but take your own cutlery and plates.

Great chips, nice enough fish. Personally prefer the fish from Trawlers Abergele as its thicker but prefer the chips from here. Seriously need more serving staff though during school hols, busy periods - massive queue & slow as only one girl serving. A lot of tourists seem to use it so placing big orders which makes it worse.

Best fish and chip shop from Towyn to Abergele, clean oil used you can tell by the chips and fish. Well priced and half the cost of the caravan parks. It will be busy at peak periods but they do get through the queue fairly quickly. Highly recommended :-)

Called in for fish and chips whilst on holiday . I have to say they were the tastiest fish and chips i've had in a long time. No nasty black or green spuds and the batter was excellent, really crispy and fresh . Just need to move it to Stoke!

I first discovered Rob's Chippy over a year ago, and like the one that got away they have haunted my dreams. The generous portions, chips the perfect combination of soft and crispy, and the gravy, oh the gravy. Thick enough to resurface a road and filled with more flavour than a pot noodle sachet, it is divine. I must make my pilgrimage again soon, my soul hungers for the mana of Robs Chippy once more.

The chips are really nice.. it's just a shame they have one girl doing everything with a massive queue and the man just faffing doing fish.. also forgot to add something in my order.. with the prices they charge I'm sure they can afford to get more staff.. if I hadn't of waited for 30 minutes I would say that would be an amazing chippy..
