What a fantastic chip shop staff very helpful and tbe food was amazing i had fish n chips mushy peas. The fish was perfect no over cooked batter the fish was flakey to chips were spot on the gravy was one of the best ive ever tasted got busy really fast obvs a centre favorite would visit again

Visited recently and what a great experience. Entering the establishment you take a seat. Minute later you have a friendly welcome and menus. Service is quick and a splendid menu they cater for everyone. Order taken and drinks are delivered immediately. Again a good selection of beverages. I went for a cup of tea and extra hot water was included. Food arrives well presented and plenty on the plate I ordered double sausage and chips although they were two small sausages it was plenty on a plate. We also had a cod special which included bread and butter and a hot drink which was great value for money. Also we had a jumbo fish finger meal which came with chips two big fish fingers and salad. Sauces are provided on the table and a friendly service asking if meals are okay. After food plates are cleared if no other courses are required the bill is placed on table. Simply go to the back to the tool to pay. The restaurant also include two toilets which are fully stocked.

I had a lovely plate of Haddock with garden peas. The service was excellent, very prompt, with a friendly manner. I am going again, 2 days in a row.

Great vegan options. We had vegan battered sausage with chips and mushy peas. Great to have a separate vegan menu. They had vegan ice cream and milkshakes too

Called in for lunch, two Cod Meals. Been coming here for some years, whenever we visit Llandudno. The place has changed. Sadly standards seem to have dropped. The waitress was friendly and polite. But the whole place felt dismal and dirty. And the food really was poor. The increased prices are certainly not justifiable. We won't be coming back, so many other places to go.

Friendly staff,quick service ( not a busy time) excellent portion of haddock. A typical seaside fish and chip café just as they should be. Also a take away chippie.

Worst chips we have had in as long as we can remember, 50% of them were full of eyes or were green and bad, the other 50% were dry and flavourless. Considering it's a fish and chip shop you'd think one of their main products would be decent.

Dirty glass. The fat female staff is quite rude. The Fat Female employees should not be allowed to pick up customers at the storefront. Because she would be suitable for hiring containers in the back of the store where you don't have to meet people

Called in on a cold windy Sunday. Just what we needed to warm up. Husband had haddock special which included haddock , chips, mushy peas , bread and pot of tea. I had cod special. Staff efficient and friendly. Came to just under £30. Would recommend.

Brilliant to find a chippy that takes food allergies seriously and also delivers excellent food. Such lovely staff who ensure your meals are prepared carefully to avoid cross contamination. A celiac's delight! Kudos. Lovely chippy. Recomend for anyone with food allergies. Gluten allergy.

THERE HAD TARTAR SAUCE OMG!! Yes, I got fish and chips with mushy peas - the best thing ever. Family friendly and it appears to be a family business with good service. Bless the girl who was in shift that day looked like she needed a break! But smiled through it all. And it’s dog friendly.

Called today Saturday for chips peas and fishcake twice , the lazy lad behind the counter couldn't be bothered to put salt and vinegar on when he was asked to, the chips were disgusting and the peas and payed £12 for them never again will I go there again !!

Had gluten free fish and chips there, we have to say they were the best we have ever had! Great range of gluten free options. Definitely recommend! The fish was fresh, cooked to perfection, literally melted in the mouth! Absolutely fantastic food, can choose to eat in or take away.

Went in there for a takeaway after a day out in dudno and straight away loved the friendliness of the staff to the point where my boyfriend thought I knew them cuz we kept laughing mainly at myself , food was with us quick and easy and it was very tasty

Staff were vaping whilst serving food. Gross. Also being antagonistic towards the female serving staff member.

Second visit and just as good as the first. The quality of the fish is second to none and cooked freshly to order. The service in the cafe is great and very friendly. I would highly recommend a visit.

Food was fine bit place not clean especially toilets so for that reason won't be going there again

Went here as was recommended to us. wasted our money overpriced for size of portions, have had better frozen ready meals. Chilli con carne, was more chilli con l think they forgot to put meat in, It was like they'd opened a jar of chilli sauce and thrown a few kidney beans in it then warmed it up and poured it into dish . The carpet at the rear towards the toilet and dessert display, was sticky. Sadly a big disappointment.

Excellent menu including vegetarian and vegan options. Portion sizes are excellent. Has a range of Snowdon Craft beers.

We've been coming here at least once a year for the last 9 years. Never disappointed Always open, even on off peak when we usually come.

Really wanted a good fish and chips when visiting Llandudno with my sister. Saw barnacles looked busy and went in for our tea. I had the cod special which was a huge cod in light batter chips mushy peas bread and butter and a drink.really lovely and fresh,chips crispy cod delicious and a good sized portion for about £12. The restaurant itself was a little dated and could do with a makeover but the food was excellent will definitely go again when in town.

Very rude waitress! No greetings, no mannerisms, no eye contact, no smile, absolutely nothing just a long face and attitude! Flung our plates on the table and walked away to go elsewhere. The few other customers who were there received the same treatment. The card machine was also shoved to my direction for payment with no thanks continuing with her unpleasant attitude. I definitely won’t be visiting again, real shame as it used to be a good chippy.

A day trip to Llandudno isn't fun with a chippy lunch. Barnacles is always our go to chippy in Llandudno ( Tram way and Pebbles chippies never as good as Barnacles) have eaten in the cafe many times, today was a takeaway. Friendly serving staff, fish less fingers and roe cooked to order, hot and delicious. Chips cooked to perfection and the curry sauce is the best I have tasted from a chip shop. Great variety on the menu, vegan products and gluten free options so suits everyone. Our take away was £11.70. Value for money! Will be back soon. Highly recommended.

We pre ordered food for a school party. Great staff who accommated us as the weather was raining. Staff looked after kids and adults. All food came out quickly. Would recommend

Great Fish and Chips. Went with my family just before catching a show at the theatre. The chips were great, and my partner had a veggie lasagna and chips, she said that was also yummy. Service was good, attentive staff and food was on the table swiftly. Only thing that lets the place down is it needs a bit of TLC, otherwise a great chippy and will return.

The food was good and the place is quite popular. I put 4 stars for service because they dudn't provide salt, ketchup and napkins for our take away order. We had to to go and ask them.

Hot dog £6.75, battered sausage and chips. 3rd time here. Smooth operation with zero cross contamination and your food being placed in a separate pyrex dish by the cooks before being boxed with separate tongs. I think the takeaway is cheaper than the cafe part.

staff are abs fantastic allowed us take the dog in and my fish n chips were lovly wife had liver onions loved it would recommend 😋

Waitress was a bit overworked, my friend asked could she wipe her chair as there was food on it,she told her to just flick it off, she banged bread down on table, maybe just short staffed and it was busy .

Looking for some where for a fish and chip lunchnot far from the Premier Inn on a very wet and windy late September day.and found this place.When we arrived at around 1.00pm there was a queue outside waiting tor take away and the cafe was busy but managed to find a table.Was given the menu almost as soon as we sat down order taken a few minutes later and the food arrived quickly afterwards. Chips were nice and crisp and the fish was quite large and properly cooked for fish and chips ,Batter cooked right the way through and the the fish was white and still moist none of that limp chips and slimey batter and opaque badly cooked fish inside. Service was polite and oees efficient and price as far as fish and chips goes these day reasonable Well done

Been going here for a while but the standards have slipped recently. Fish seemed over cooked and god knows what recipe they are using now for the batter but its not nice. The chips where hit and miss on being cooked thoroughly so i ended leaving over half of the meal for the seagulls. Very dissatisfied

I searched "the best chippy in Llandudno" and it took me here. I ordered a large chips and was left a lil disappointed with the portion size, and had me questioning whether I had been given a regular by accident. The peas were nice and mushy. Overall, very good, however i have a new found appreciation for my local chippy whose large chips portion puts me into a food coma

What a wasof time. Called in for a bag of chips £3.00 you could count onntwo hand how many chips, yhen the so called staff me ber couod wrap the chips for toffie Never again. Absolutely rubbish

Been going here for years every time we visit Llandudno do the best curry. Called today but very dissatisfied chips poor quality and for a medium chips was very poor. Also my husband ordered a large that was also very small portion for the cost it’s just not worth it . You’ve lost 2 loyal customers the wait was also for too long .

Food was nice but its got to be the most expensive chippy I've ever been to it cost me over £90 it was £7.50 for a chip bap we won't be going here again.

Enjoyed both a takeaway from here and, next day, a sit-down meal whilst staying in Llandudno. Excellent selection of vegan options, including vegan wine and beers, alongside the regular chip shop fare. Good portions, well-presented in imitation newspaper set on platters. Everything was cooked to perfection, fluffy and crispy. Also has a range of generously-sized desserts. Enjoyed a slap-up family meal with wine for a fair price. Consistently busy, with a warm welcome and great service from Carol, Phoebe and Josh. Highly recommended and great to have something tasty to eat which suited us all.

My regular go to chippy! Delicious gluten free food! My partner enjoyed his Saveloy and chips a lot!

A place with character and great fish and chips!.. Friends of ours told us about it and whilst there are plenty of places to get your fish and chips, I'm a bit picky, normally like fish and chips eaten out of the chip paper....we decided to give it a go....fantastic cod special......good menu choice, think I even saw a Goujon on the menu..😎....will defo be back next time we visit the Orme. GREAT JOB BARNACLES. TASTY AND GOOD VALUE.

Went here for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the vastness of the menu in terms of gluten free and vegan options. Staff were very attentive and helpful, food was delicious! Price is not bad considering the seating, location (2 minute walk away from the seafront) and the options/quality of the food. I would love to come again.

Good selection on the menu or so I thought. Diet cola tasted watered down and not genuine product served in a glass. Food was hot but lacking in flavour. Chips were nice. Fish was dry inside (over cooked) with oily batter, lasagne was very wet (more than I expected). Scampi was 7 small pieces, not worth the £11+ price tag. Almost like a kids portion. Staff seemed demotivated and didn't seem bothered with what's they were doing at times. Meals did not arrive all together for a party of 5. Must try harder.....

Went here yesterday for lunch and it was ok but the chips were soggy and tasted really fatty and oily , the staff could have had better customer service skills eg smiling more and they looked like it was too much trouble for them the drink wasn't what it was and watered down and it was very overpriced e.g fish 10 pound shocking

After reading good reviews we trekked right across from the other side, but sadly chips were greasy and soggy and the fish wasn’t the best tasting. They do have a large vegan and veggie menu which is good, and it’s all fried in oil, just a shame they don’t shake it off. Some may like it, I like crispy and dry. Gave three stars because service was friendly and portions sizes good and served in cardboard box not polystyrene. Also disappointing was plastic forks I stead of more sustainable. I had to leave a lot as it was too soggy and greasy. EDIT ADDED - gave me a very bad stomach - had to hurry back to room 😢
