Busiest Fish and Chips seller I've ever seen. It was weekend, may be that's the reason but it was busy, we had to wait 30 mins just make an order.

Excellent fresh food. Just eat drivers had us waiting too long, but the quality was 10/10, best chippy.

We had fish and chips takeaway from here tonight after our tram ride. The fish was huge, really tasty. The fish cake had good chunks of fish in it, felt good quality and not just mashed potatoes and small flakes of fish. We didn’t have to wait too long. Fish was fresh and was worth the wait. I felt the price was reasonable for its location. I have been to other fish and chip shops in Llandudno and this felt massively better. I would make a point to go back here again if we wanted fish and chips in Llandudno. I’ve noticed some older reviews saying they only take cash, this is no longer the case. They take card payments.

Delivery was on time and lovely driver. Used same chippy for years thought we would Fish Tram chips for a change. Fish was lovely, chips went in the bin all very small and very very crispy pot of peas was tiny for the price, will stick to our regular chippy in future.

Three plates of the freshest food we had all week in Llandudno! We had small and large cod, regular haddock - all with chips of course - and a serving of squid to share - all amazing - perfectly cooked and simply the best 'proper' chips I can remember ever having anywhere. Friendly attentive service too - can't recommend highly enough - we will be back in 2025!!

We have been going to Tramway fish and chips for as long as I can remember and cannot fault it in any way, if you want freshly cooked delicious fish and chips this is the place to go. Eating in is a real treat 😋 served by lovely friendly staff, I just love the quirkiness of the place and looking forward to our next visit 😀

Acceptable fish and chips though a bit on the expensive side. Two haddock and chips, one portion of peas and two teas came to £37. I asked if we could upgrade the small fish and chips meal but was declined. The place was certainly busy.

It is very nice, but it's far too expensive. Service is a little strange and can't understand why every chippy in Wales gives a weird reason why they don't do scraps. Just dip your hand in the batter and let it drip, give the paying public what they want, especially at those prices. Should be a lot busier than it is

Excellent service and food.the chips were a bit substandard to be honest.they were like the scrag ends but everything else was absolutely top notch.tbebstaff were very efficient and accommodating.

We had one large portion of chips, two medium cod (which were massive!), curry and mushy peas. Simply the best I've ever had. A 20 minute wait, but well worth it and worth the walk too!

I ordered 2 mush peas and got one curry , which we didn't knownuntil it was tipped on to my chips and fish ruined the meal!

used this chip shop for two lots of boxes of chips of medium size cost £7. The chip did not seam like proper chip shop chips more like cafe frozen ones. went at dinner time and had to wait for chips to cook. that said the staff were friendly and chatty.

Everything appears to be cooked to order hence you usually have a long wait. Portions quite small compared to other chip shops in town

went for a takeaway today about 4pm. Cod was lovely the chips were overdone and looked like burnt ends but what annoyed me the most is the weird rude attitude of the fryer...the lady who served me told me it was going to be about 10 minutes which is absolutely fine we were in no rush me and my friend sat outside to wait but it was absolutely roasting and I'd forgotten my suncream and we wanted to eat on the bench in the sun so didn't want to sit for too long at a time to avoid burning so took a break to wait inside for the food. Bearing in mind there was nobody else in there at the time the fryer then says to me passive aggressively "are you OK?" Basically what do you want...and I said oh yes fine just waiting and he said "well it's going to be 7 minutes.. we cook everything fresh here" in quite a defensive way as if me walking in was suggesting they hurry up or something...basically saying go sit outside and wait... so I went back out, dismissed. Honestly ruined my food because it wound me up so much. First rude person I've encountered in Llandudno everyone else here has been so welcoming and lovely and this guy clearly doesn't like customers and has limited people skills. Made me feel like a nuisance the minute I walked in. Won't be going back and won't recommend. Attitude adjustment required here I think. Edit - thanks for the apology - you did make it abruptly clear when I first walked in and said hello that I wasn't to talk to you about orders but to talk to the girl so it wouldn't have made sense for you to be asking me if I wanted anything else when I stepped back in and your tone creates an impression but I do appreciate the apology

After reading a lot of good reviews and recommendations for this chip shop me and my partner gave it a go and ordered 2 small chips with 1 cod on Saturday evening. ***I now know that there are so many good reviews as it would appear after any slightly negative comment, owner replies usually sarcastically and then within a couple of hours there are several 5 out of 5 reviews so any negative comments are not front and center**** A lot of the regular portions (some shops only sell regular and large so in theory as there are only 2 options the regular would be the smaller out of the 2) else where in llandudno are quite healthy so that's why we went small. It doesnt state on the menu board that small is a cone either. I believe this worked out around £13 (£3 for the chips each and £7 for the med cod) We ordered got a ticket and was waiting out on the street for 25 mins until our order was called we took them away and went back to our room. Once back we discovered that there was around 15 chips in each box (on show in the pic) and the rest crispy straps (underneath what is shown in rhe pic). I thought I'd ring the number on the website rather than going straight back to the chip shop and ask if the price was right at £3 for a small chips and advised my unhappiness considering other chip shops in the area are more competitively priced for the size and to be honest was after taking them back as thought it was a bit of a take on. Initially the first person I spoke to was fair enough and advised he'd speak to his manager. I then spoke with the manager who confirmed the price was right, stated that a small is equivalent to a cone (but there were no cones in the shop to compare what we would get and the chips were put in a box the size a burger would go in) I had explained the above, how unhappy I was considering and based on this would we be able to come back show him what had been served and have a refund to which he laughed and said "under no circumstances would I be able to refund you based on what your definition of a small / cone portion should be." I said but I can show you what has been served and you can see for yourself and also would this not possible under the circumstances of bad customer service and quality? But again repeated their size ratio measured against a cone very curt and advised no. I stated I would leave a review advising of my experience as I was really unhappy and he stated you "you don't need the threaten me with leaving a review, but thanks for your call, good bye" then hung up. Not the experience, customer service or quality you would expect from a small run family business that the manager had advised of, cooked to order. I would not go to this chip shop the next time we holiday in llandudno and do not recommend. ***the point was £5.80 for 2 small portion of chips with 15 chips and lots of scraps in each is not value for money and the quality of them was not great. As with any bad experience, hotel stay, purchase of a product or service if it was not as described or satisfactory you would voice your opinion and seek a refund which is what I did. Customer was not right in the case and the food, service, and reply was poor. Ive added some other sarcastic responses the owners have come back with on other Google reviews in the last year***

Nice food very small portion and we was over charged I think 38quid for 3 very small portions of fish and chips is steep and 2 quid for a small water will try another chip shop as we go every weekend

I am the worlds leading expert in English Fish and Chip shops. Let me tell you this is a solid 5 star fish and chip shop. The chips are golden brown crispy on the outside with a melt in your mouth core. And then the taste with explosive character and flavour leaving you thinking “am I in heaven”? The fish. Freshly cooked to order and well worth the wait. Again pure gold crispy batter with the fish that has body, substance, flavour that, again, with the perfect chips, just melts in the mouth. All of that with the bonus of super friendly staff who are up for a good chat just made this the most perfect take away fish and chip experience. Buy and eat with confidence!

Lovely lady served us, so polite and cheerful and so we're the other staff. We always come here and will continue to do so. Dog friendly which we greatly appreciated. Wilbur (out dog) had a great nap and lots of attention

The food was cooked well, & very tasty. But we had an issue with the gravy, it tasted lovely but there wasnt enough of it for 2 people even though we ordered three lots of it. Maybe consider using bigger gravy pots. & it spilt everywhere in the bag before we got it. Which may or may not have been restaurant/ driver issue. Other than that everything was nice and would overall order again

Drove down from Manchester for a nostalgia trip as I'd not been to Llandudno for years. Enjoyed a few pints across the road at the Kings Head. Sunny day. Having a great time......then I came here ! Got charged £5 for a small carton of Chips & Gravy. Really ! Chips were bland and powdery. Price seemed to be plucked out of the air from one of the staff. Won't be returning (here not Llandudno). EDIT - Wow. Salty or what - I was only being honest ! PS. How do you know what I paid for a pint ? You have no idea what I drink ? Could have been a pint of Blackcurrent and Soda ! My point was that it was expensive and I didn't enjoy it so I stand by my review.

Excellent sit-down chippy! Delicious haddock and chips and mushy peas. We also enjoyed a cider and an IPA with our food, sat in a sunny window seat. The service was superb! Thanks to James for being so attentive and smiley. All round great lunch time experience. Highly recommend!

These are unbelievable chips. Everything a chip shop chip should be, but with crunch. Took ours up the Great Orme and they were still crunchy when we got to the top, although we did eat most on the way up. Will definitely be returning.

Warm welcome and friendly service followed by delicious food! Portion size was just right for me, I don’t want a mountain of chips but the quantity I got was far from stingy. Fish was delicious, batter crispy and just right thickness. A darned fine chippy with a view straight out at the Orme tram station!

It is an excellent fish and chip shop. Clean, friendly staff, great food.... and very reasonable prices. We had fish and chips with mushy peas in the restaurant part. Good portion sizes and not at all greasy. Try the Baileys based ice cream drink... I can't remember what it's called. It was superb and not expensive. A great location alongside the tram station and not far from the sea front. Highly recommended!

My wife and I have been visiting here for ten years. Today, 20th April 2024, our fish supper of cod , chips and peas was as excellent as usual. We consider the meal as good as you can get anywhere in the UK. Excellent, friendly service.

When in Llandudno we do fish and chips here . Never disapoints . This evening has my birthday tea so here once again. Pot of English tea , cod , chips and mushy peas . Left off with the bread and butter on this visit . Brill. My wife isn't the greatest fan of fish and chips but she loves it here as well . Prices have gone up but haven't they everywhere . All happy .

Walked in at 7:15 as sign on the door stated open till 7:30 and was greeted by a chef in blue with a "for f**k sake" great start! After he shouted the young girl from the back to take my order he carried on muttering under his breath, whilst I was waiting for my chips he then called me a D**k head I came close to jumping the counter but decided I'd be civil and speak with the manager when I informed her what had happened she asked him which he denied she then said "sorry but I didn't hear anything" she was polite but didnt really offer much of an apology, iv had a home delivery from here every Friday for the last year won't be ordering again

Probably the best fish and chips I've had the large cod was actually large the portion of chips was good the young girl that served us was very helpful and lovely the whole experience was really good would recommend

The set meal was brilliant. Delicious, fresh fish and chips with a pot of tea. We added 2 kids meals and some curry sauce and it was a great experience sitting eating and watching the trams.

Me and my Dad went here after (unfortunately) a poor experience on the namesake tramway, which was a shame, as I think the combined experience and location is a lovely idea. We'd come to Llandudno on a Blue Pullman journey (non-dining), and travelled up from Cornwall. We lucked out on having a few minutes to go before our pre-booked taxi back to the station was due, so Dad took a chance on us getting some chips here, which was a comfort, after the stress and the cold breeze. We were in a hurry, I already felt faint so waited outside until the taxi came, slightly early. Dad said it was lovely here, with a real cozy local how-are-you-today vibe, and I was surprised how big it was as it's got a cafe and all, we just got chips to go, and had them in town before we had to board our train. He explained about the taxi, and the cook said they'd turn up the cooker. So, I'm sorry we had to rush. Much appreciated service.

Chippy tea after visit to Bodnant Gardens. Food excellent, staff very friendly. The only reason I marked down atmosphere was that we arrived just as they opened the cafe part and we were the only customers eating in. Loads in the takeaway part however despite it being only 5pm. We will return!!

We used the take away. Absolutely brilliant. Great vegetarian choice, the food was really good and lovely staff. Also take away glasses of Prosecco! Who could ask for more! :)

I ordered chips and cheese and a fish cake, the chips are undercooked, the amount of cheese was pathetic tiny amount, the fish cake has little to no taste, absolutely disgusting I will not recommend ordering from here 🤢

Superb chippy. Cod was so flavoursome and chips just in the right amount. Was genuinely blown away by it. We visited 28 Dec as a group of 4. Service was excellent too, reassuring a member of our group with a nut allergy. Massively recommend this chippy.

A brilliant little find on our annual trip to the beach between Christmas and New Year. It's always hard finding somewhere to eat when you have a nut and peanut allergy. I messaged ahead using the messaging service and the staff got back to me straight away and gave me all the information I needed to know regarding eating there. Once we arrived there was a warm welcome and we were shown to our table. The service, surroundings and facilities were all clean and bright. The fish and chips were top notch; light, crispy and not greasy. Portions were spot on too! Rest assured we will be returning! Highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed lovely fresh cooked fish and chips. The team in the shop were engaging and passionate about their products. The chips especially had a lovely crispy outside with a soft and fluffy centre. Not too greasy and with the mushy peas and plenty of curry sauce the whole family was happy and satisfied.

I have tried so many definitely fish and chips throughout the United Kingdom. This place has to be at the top. I'm a chef so I know good food. The quality and flavour at this place is next level. The staff are friendly and helpful. So many places in the United Kingdom have such poor quality fish and chips. Even though they invented the meal. Everyone should visit this place and Cymru/Llandudno of course.

We called in yesterday after being on the tram up to the top of the great Orme, the service we had from the young lady who took our order, brought it all to our table, came & asked us if everything was OK, & then cleared away our plates ect, & all of this with the loveliest smile on her face, little treasure that young lady you need to hold on to her, As for our food, absolutely the best fish that we have had for a very long time, the fish was so tasty, just wonderful. & next time we come to Llandudno, we will definitely be back.
