Even though tonight was just for a take out. We have ended throwing most of the Fish, chips and mushy peas away. We have always rated and recommended Enochs as the best around but for the 2nd time in as many months the fish was all batter and very little fish. We were used to the light crispy batter as advertised on your website and this is what made a lovely treat. Not sure what you have done in respect of your batter but we wont be back for another.

As an East Yorkshire man I love a well cooked Haddock with a light crispy batter. Being From Hull once the biggest fishing port in UK I can say that it's difficult to find a really good chippy outside Yorkshire (bias implied) But I have to say Enochs Fish and chips restaurant is one of the best I've been to ! They have a large selection of fish dishes from traditional buttered to parchment oven baked fish . We even had a Thick milkshake & some monkey fingers For pudding The service is friendly & has a family feeling too. I highly recommend a visit. My Haddock was cooked to perfection with no grease left on the plate either, you can ask for extra chips if you need any we didn't but the offer was there . Overall fantastic food great service. We will be back

Just used the takeaway part. The food was excellent and was served quickly. The person serving me was polite & efficient. Good range on the menu & is what you would expect from a chip shop. The pie I had was locally made & was very nice. Loved the gravy and the mushy peas. Chips were crisp & not soggy. Everything was nicely hot but not volcanic.

Just been in for take away chips and gravy for 3 of us, got home and we had to search for the gravy, we literally got a spoon full of gravy on each portion, never seen anything like it, I don't know how you can justify £16.70 for such poor food, the chips were chips nothing special. Tried to ring up and express my concern but there was no answer. Won't be visiting again. I'd upload a picture of what we got but there's no option to do so.

3meals. Far too much batter and v little fish - batter overcooked/ nearly burned. Food sent back cos was cold. Far too long a wait - both times. Dreadful experience!

We were passing by whilst in the area for work on a Friday lunch time & called in for some lunch. We hadn't booked a table but were seated straight away. We ordered two meals - spicy fish strips, chips peas / haddock, chips, fruity sauce & peas. We also ordered two muffins. All the food was fantastic & highly I recommend the spicy fish strips. A nice little touch that I haven't seen at any other chippy is that they offer you some more chips at the end of your meal if you are still hungry free of charge. The restaurant & toilets were all clean / tidy. The toilets however were up some stairs which may prove a problem for people in wheelchairs or people who have poor mobility. The girl with the short hair who dealt with us during our visit was very helpful. If we were in the area again in the future & needing food we would certainly visit again.

Avg fish an chips bit greasy and expensive.... Thou my I'm not writing about the food .. is was the head member of staff how repeatedly kept asking the word diarrhoea) while I was eating made me feel sick .. has to be the worst ever dinner experience ive ever ever had ... Totally disgusting!!

Poor customer service stood for atleast 5 minutes only person there and was completely ignored.When i finnaly got served i got answered with ' yeh ' with no manners not satisfied and will not be coming again.

Used to go regularly every time we came over from Ireland about three times a year until COVID staff were excellent the batter on the fish was so light and crisp and delicious all round

Lovely place, that is justifiably very popular locally. Nice decor, great service, imaginative specials and great fish and chips for a good price. Their takeaway is also great, worth going for the meal deal.

I use enochs often, I’ve noticed it’s changed a lot over the last year or so, the food used to be beautifully cooked, on recent visits the fish is sloppy and the sausages very soft personally I’d say inedible.

Visited the restaurant yesterday eve with 6 visitors from Austria. The whole experience was first class from the minute we arrived. Food was excellent, best scampi I have ever had. All the young staff were friendly efficient and went out of their way to make our visit exceptional!!! Will definitely be returning and reccomending👍👍👍👍

Iff your charging them price perhaps fill the carton up with chips and cook them properly would not recommend

Fish and chips to take out, excellent!

Lovely place! Some of the best fish and chips I've had. And they also have a great selection of local craft beers, which were also superb. Also, they offer more chips for free! Would recommend anyone to visit when up in the north of Wales.

Really happy with our experience here, good food and good size portions. The staff were very friendly, Amber our waitress was lovely! Would definitely return if we are ever back in Llandudno 👍

Thought the food could have been served hotter! The steak and kidney portion was the smallest portion I have been served anywhere. Nice friendly servers.

This is a lovely takeaway. We came across it by accident and are glad we did. The staff were very friendly, the food tasty and of really decent value, too. We both had pie dinners. Care has been taken with the decor as well. All in all a very good experience for us. Would definitely recommend. 👍👍

Saturday late lunch . Been here before but was disappointed today . The fish was sitting in a pool of oil and the curry was watery . The chips not as nice today either .

Having looked forward to my lunch all morning with the intention of having chips as a treat. The server took the chips out of the fryer prematurely, I noticed that they were a little pale. Some of the chips were uncooked resulting in an unpleasant experience. Unfortunately, having a job that works to a tight and fast schedule I'm unable to take them back.

Been visiting here for probably about 30 years, and never had a terrible meal, same as anywhere some visits have been better than others but over all you can rely on a decent meal without disappointment, no family visit to North Wales is complete without a visit.

Service good. Atmosphere functional. But who cares because the fish and chips are excellent.

Really let down by the ‘rules’ of the restaurant and the service. Was not allowed to share meals even though small fish or fish alone options were not available. Had to buy an extra chips to be allowed to share. Not the servers fault but the managers rule. Also when we came in staff were blocking the entrance to the seating area and didn’t move or apologise as we had to squeeze past. We only stayed because we know the fish and chips are very good and have had it in the past here and the Anglesey shop. But, we purposefully spent less money than planned due to the ‘rules’ leading to a negative environment. It was all a bit pretentious for a small town chippy.

The best fish and chips I have ever had, beautiful light batter, delicious and fresh fish, tasty mushy peas and perfectly cooked chips. All well presented with lemon wedge and parsley. Friendly and attentive service. Even the tap water was served in a chilled bottle with lemon and ice. All excellent attention to detail. Only a few minutes off the A55 - definitely worth including in your travel plans if you're heading through North Wales.

Everything from the food and service to the atmosphere was excellent. There are plenty of options for fish and chips in Llandudno but nothing compares to Enochs! A must-try 10/10, we will be back!

Been coming to Enoch’s for over 45 years and in reality it hasn’t changed. It’s got great food. Great service and perfect location.

Stopped in Enochs on the way home from airport to our home address. Everything freshly cooked to order. I must say the chips were the best chips I have ever tasted and I have fish and chips from a chippie quite often so know what I am talking about. I thought the small pickle was very expensive for 90p. My usual chippie charges 50p for a bigger one. My only complaint was the location of the menu on the wall. The position it was in it was very hard to see and part of the counter was blocking it from being seen. We pass Llandudno Junction a few times a year and we always try to stop here. We will be back very soon.

Fabulous food, our first visit here and hopefully next time we're in the area we'll call in again. Our order was taken and checked, included salt and vinegar, unfortunately they weren't put on the meals as requested. We were long gone before it was noticed but it still didn't spoil the meals.

Fish and chips excellent and very tasty asked for small portion and was pleasantly surprised, good value for money, shop very tidy and new, had to wait for food but it was worth it as freshly cooked, I would highly recommend this establishment.

Excellent fish chips mushy peas. We always go for the lightly battered. Scallops and their Cowards pies are always tasty. Service is excellent too and it is kept very clean. Yes,we are lucky to have Enochs!!

We usually do take away but today we ate inside. The fish was so fresh. I had a salad with my meal and it was good.

Been to Llandudno for morning out , celebrating grandson’s early birthday. We arrived mid afternoon 7 of us , made very welcome put tables together for us , we ordered food, drinks , most of us had fish chips, grandson had burger and bacon. Food was lovely, fish was beautiful, service was excellent, waitress was so polite and helpful, think her name was Rhiannon (apologies if wrong) . We have had many take aways over the years , not sat in for a long time . We do love an Enochs , when we visit Llandudno. Thanks again . X

Very good, hard to fault. Crispy cod and chips and proper tasty gravy.

We ate in on a Wednesday evening. Although our son was disappointed with the size of his haddock, we enjoyed the food. The issue was we were charged £53.60 for 3 fish and chip meals (a meal comprises a fish, chips and a side - we had 2 x cod with mushy peas and 1 x haddock with bread and butter) and 3 cups of tea. We thought this was expensive so queried this but were told the price of eating in is dearer than the prices shown on the menus. This seems a dubious practice. Is it even legal? We have since tried to follow-up on this with the management but they have not responded. We won’t be going back. There are plenty of other good fish and chip shops in the area, all with better customer service and if the price of our meal is anything to go by, much better value as well!

I've been coming here for over 50 yrs and was very disappointed by the cooking today. The batter was so thick is was raw inside. Did tell the waitress and she said I was lucky the raw batter was just on side! Payed in full too!

We really liked it here! The service was nice and friendly. However, it is not particularly cheap. But the food was good and we didn't have to wait long. I also really liked the atmosphere.

Brilliant tradition, fish and chips. Only improvement would be to have softer bread and more of a variety of soft drinks in cans.

Went here because other chippies were all closed early. Turned out it was good luck. Order several fish and chips. Speed was about normal for fish cooked to order 5-10mins. Quality was good. Chips were crispy. Opening hours better than most others in the area. Not the cheapest, £11 for fish, chips and peas/beans/curry. But okay value for what you get.

Omg I haven’t been here for years. I used to go with my mum and her mate and my mate used to tag along. We’d literally just drive down from stoke for the fish n chips 😂 we’ve ate in and also had takeaway and nothing had ever come close to their fish. Wow, I’ve just googled to see if it was even still open and me and mum were just talking about it and here it is. 😍 I first went when I was about 13 years old, went many many times through the years then a walk along the beach. I’m 50 now so that tells you how long it’s been. However I’ve not been down in years and wasn’t even sure if it was still open. I will definitely have to come down again one day. I have very very fond memories of this place or plaice should I say? ( 😂😂) wow, I’m so glad it’s still running. That’s made my day. ♥️

We have been loyal customers of Enoch's for decades... But today we were a little disappointed. We could not taste the salt and vinegar so it all tasted a little tasteless and fatty. Garden peas were good tho. The tartare sauce also lacked any sharpness. All in all, disappointed ☹️

I was the only one in the takeaway section although the cafe was busy... waited 15 minutes for fish chips and peas.. staff automatically assumed i wanted salt and vinegar on my food!!! Unfortunately the fish was tasteless and the chips dripping in fat.i won't be returning!!

What a disappointment. A significant proportion of the chips were very dry, the batter was greasy. The fish soggy instead of flaky.

Horrid woman serving!! My brother who is severely dyslexic went in to order for me, he struggles with basic reading so he asked the lady behind the till to read out an item on the menu and she nastily said “why, you need your mummy to read it for you?”. She also had a go at him for using the door as apparently there was a note on it saying to use the other one!! Disgusting behaviour and not how customer service should be, especially towards a disabled young lad. He’s only 18 and struggles with confidence as it is. He seemed really upset afterwards and wouldn’t tell me what had happened because he knew I would have come back in and kicked off. There’s just no need to treat any customer or person this way, it really pains me. You also gave him the tiniest portion of chips, he was so upset he didn’t even feel like eating!

The best Battered Haddock around it was huge! The Chips were to die for so tasty, cooked to perfection and loads of them too. Mushy peas yummy too.

I visited Enochs for some takeaway Fish and Chips this afternoon. Top marks. Was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Nice and clean. Probably most modern fish and chip shop I have ever visited. The woman who served me, think her name was Emma, is a credit to the business. Food was great, and the portion size was absolutely plenty. Would visit again.

65p tartar sauce 25p for a bag, or as in my experience, car seat and clothes now completely ruined by grease pouring everywhere, from the paper wrapping. Extremely poor, a bag is not provided, especially since the shop is so expensive

Tiny tiny portions! I ordered pies and 2 portions of chips to share out amongst the children. Not as part of a pie ‘meal’ but as full priced portions of chips. However what I got was a pie taking up most of the container and a very very very small handful of chips in the same container. If I hadn’t ordered pies I’m assuming I would’ve received more chips but still been charged the same amount. No one likes to feel shortchanged so I was very disappointed. Especially as it was takeout so already home before spotting the stinginess! Definitely do NOT recommend unless you want to pay £5 for 2 ‘portions’ of chips which amounts to a lot less than 1 portion from my usual chippy. Will not be going back.

This chip shop is definitely worth a visit for anyone visiting the Llandudno area, we only shared a portion of chips and a sausage each and wish we’d had a portion to ourselves now, and the sausage tasted something different to a normal one you would get from chippy, it was stunning and would love to know where they get them from! Must say though I’d tried to call in the place before this visit and couldn’t find anywhere to park, but there’s plenty of little side streets to park in if your in a car

I loved the EMD (Enoch's Meal Deal - cod, chips, side, cuppa tea and slice of bread and butter) but my wife didn't like the Chicken Ceasar loaded fries at all. The breaded chicken was overcooked and had dried out, and she also felt that it had a fishy taste, which she disliked (cooked in the same oil as the fish maybe?). They had also forgotten to put Ceasar dressing on the dish. They did provide some when we pointed out, but my wife found it very acidic tasting (too much vinegar in the product maybe?) compared to the brand she usually buys. I will definitely return, I always go here before visits to Cineworld, but the moral of the story maybe is to stick to what Enoch's does best (maybe Enoch's should do so too and drop these loaded chips dishes).

On a cold, wet day, we came across Enochs by chance. Really great 10/10.

Being new to the area we have been on the hunt for a good chippy. We visited Enoch’s with high expectations given the great reviews. Unfortunately this was not the case for our visit. We entered the take away side, stood behind another customer who was waiting to be served. We were stood around, many staff members walking around and past the counter and not one acknowledged either us or the other customer. We soon realised all the staff that were around were prioritising the restaurant side orders as opposed to take away. Feeling disappointed that after a long time waiting we still hadn’t been acknowledged we were about to walk out as a member of staff then encouraged someone to take our order. The customer in front said they had a long wait and it was no different for us. We took our order home to find the chips were near enough cold. Unfortunately we won’t be returning. If you aren’t able to provided an equal level of service to those dining in and taking away please do not offer it.

Hands down this the best fish & chips near Llandudno. Everything was delicious.. we tried fried cod, the batter was so tasty.. also tried baked cod (in parchment paper); was delicious! Scampi was juicy and yum! Chips and mushy peas as well were superb! We returned again for another lunch to this place. Service is also very warm and courteous. Thank you to all at Enochs!
