I had two wonderful experiences with Waypoint Restaurant in one week! The first was a surprise dinner I threw for my husband the week leading up to our wedding. I worked with Gill for months planning the details from the dinner itself to the water taxis to take our friends and family from Oban to the island. Let me just say, she was an absolute delight to work with. Finally meeting her in person on the day was just the icing on the cake. Everyone raved about the dinner and Gill! She and her team just made us feel right at home. The second was a lunch after an excursion on the island for our wedding guests. It was just the perfect way to relax after a day outdoors. Once again, Waypoint outdid themselves. My husband and I plan to return to Scotland and Oban one day and a visit to Waypoint will be high on our list.

Highly recommend a visit to the Alan Stevenson house restaurant, itās a little tucked away at Hynish but definitely worth the drive over. Very well stocked bar, amazing service and excellent food. There was 8 of us including 2 kids, there isnāt a kids menu but discussing this at booking they said it would be no problem to rustle something up and they made maca and chicken goujons which went down a treat. We all had something different but every meal was delicious. The fish was too big for the plate!!! We were lucky that we had 2 drivers which allowed the rest to enjoy some drinks but Kris did say if we are back again and would like a drink but no way home he said mention it to them and they might be able to suggest a lift which was a nice touch. Maybe bear that in mind if you want to visit!! Very well stocked bar as I said

Could smell the chippy a mile off and we were like yes.... that's what we fancy.... then decided we'd sit in .... the menu wasn't quite what I thought I fancied in the restaurant, not your yer bog standard chippy cafe lol, however, the other half still got his fish and chips and to my surprise I was more than delighted with my choices of grilled queenie scallops, and a goats cheese starter.... amazing, service really friendly and helpful too.

Been coming 40yrs. Nostalgic visit, as moved to Gibraltar. Half Restaurant closed, told fully reserved. Empty tables, that could have been turned over, ( by time limit on bookings, during busy spells. We were not told, Takeaways could eat outside or by the table in the Deli area. We had to ask, if these table were available!!! Come on, you were better than this!! Bought Kinlass Fillet from the Deli. Weāll try again next year!

Visited on a too short 1 day visit to Mull. spent most of the time in Tobermoray in the Mishnish Hotel. great find had the seafood platter for 2 with extra langoustine (definitely didnāt need the extra but delicious). Great gins in the public bar to start with, really friendly helpful staff, at Ā£56 for 2 of us including additional Langoustine it was amazing value. Friendly, helpful, delicious ..weāll be back

Very disappointing fish and chips - expensive - the chips were soggy and the batter pathetic - undercooked and also soggy, fish ok but spoiled by inferior chips and batter. This is no longer Mr Pia - different name. Itās amazing - they major on one product fish and chips - a great British tradition and yet they canāt get it right. Go to the pier at Tobermory if you want the real thing,
